Cons: Car spoke to me regularly, in Japanese (I don't speak or understand Japanese. It could have been telling me anything, I have no idea. Aftermarket electronics all Japanese, staff said "sorry some vehicles are in Japanese, nothing we can do to change that". Never used the radio, no idea how. Had inside of windscreen washed extra and using a damp small rag and 2 Kleenex tissues for the job did got the result you would expect, terrible.

Pros: The front desk staff and friendly and efficient. However the car maintenance is not up to satisfactory. The aircond filter seems not be clean/replace for year. We have to clean it ourselves to make sure the aircond is working. There is many minor damage on the body.. to avoid argument, we have to buy full coverage . Hope it can be improved

By the time they returned, there could have been at least 2 trips to the airport so I felt like I wasted my time.

Cons: Getting in contact with the company for collection. Car pick-up was scheduled for 8am, couldn't get a hold of them prior to the allocated time. When able to contact, the lady mentioned going to the sign that said "D for Dog". Which made no sense. So i left the transfer lounge to find the sign that said D. Waited there until I saw the EZU van, which went over to the transfer lounge (where I was previously). When approached the vehicle, was told to hop in. No check in upon entering.

Cons: Closer to the end of our trip one of the front tyres blew up at 100 km/h. We were lucky to escape this situation without any further troubles or injuries. The reason for that was completely worn-out tyres (see photos). We still wonder how it was possible to get WoF with tyres like that (WoF is due for commercial vehicles every six month). Should we additionally mention that windscreen washer was empty and we discovered that at the very inconvenient moment.

Pros: It was so easy to pick up and drop off, shuttle runs were quick and organised, and very competitive price. Everyone we dealt with was lovely. I also changed my booking short notice, which was easy to do and we really appreciated it.

Tiny issue, but just one of those things that can be avoided with a quick conversation with customers about cleaning out the car - saves you guys cleaning it too!

Called the staff but he kept telling me must pay $100 theh he will come over to check it. While waiting for him to come over, I just looked at Youtube video and was able to rectify it myself. The Christchurch lady staff is more friendly and knowledgeable.

Therefore the process of making a claim for the damage was not delivered well.

The outside of the car had not been cleaned and was not in good condition, but we were advised if we didn't return it clean, we could be charged up to $200! On top of the overpriced ren fee and $1000 bond! I had excess cover through my travel insurance and find $1000 bond excessive for the car that we received.

When accelerating the car it felt like there was no energy at times. Sometimes when locking and unlocking the car with the car key it would not work meaning I had to lock it manually. Also tried to unlock the boot with the car key button and that also sometimes didn’t work so I had to go into the car to unlock it. A bit annoying.

Cons: I had taken full insurance from discover cars but ezu car rental wanted me to take insurance from them so they told me if something happens to car, i would have to pay them 5100$(full cost of car) as i have not taken insurance from them and then only i would claim from discover cars so i ended up paying them as well. Customers service respresentative was ver rude and that started taking in their own language, very disrespectfully, will never ever hire a car from them

Pros: When we left a jacket in the car the rep drop back to the depot, collected it and brought back to the airport for us.

Pros: When we originally booked the rental on site it showed we were getting a Suzuki swift, we arrived at ezu rentals & got a Nissan tiida. The conditions of the car were pretty poor BUT was driveable. We werent to happy about the $1000 bond. All in all we were pretty satisfied as it got us to all our destinations around Queenstown.

Pros: They were very helpful. There was some damage on the car and they had photos to prove it was not us that did it. We should have taken photos.

Cons: First car they gave us was filthy, I requested another and even that was dirty and had rubbish in it. The say modern cars on their website with nice photos of new cars., I got given a 2006 with no functioning radio or Bluetooth. The whole place is a shambles, I went to get the car seat I had booked and went into their shed, what a mess. I would never use this company again.

Cons: We had to wait almost an hour at the airport to collect the vehicle as had problems contacting the company- the number on the rental agreement redirected us to Christchurch, so was initially told I had the wrong person. It took 2 of us phoning to get someone to come pick us up, then another call to confirm they were coming when they didn't arrive in their given timeframe. The car also wasn't as clean as expected, especially the internal windscreen, but that was easy enough to wipe over

Cons: It was time consuming, also the chains provided were broken and unusable. They did not seem to care when I told them this and did not provide a refund for the extra $50 I paid for these.

Cons: Ezu Car Rental are crooks. They rented us a car with a damaged wheel and then charged us $818 to not only replace the wheel on return but also took it upon themselves to service the entire car at the same time. $818 for a single flat tyre that caused us to be late to our next destination as we changed it on the side of the road is criminal behaviour. We will be engaging with Ezu Car Rental for a full refund and I do not recommend anyone use them.

Cons: The Toyota Alphard we received was 20 years old not like the one in the photos we booked which looked like a new vehicle , we also had a very unpleasant smell inside, my wife opened door from outside and the handle broke off, now they are holding $500 to repair it, the handle looked like it had previously been glued, wasn't the best experience.

Cons: Wasn't clear on how we would pick the car up at the air port. The payment sheet said there would be some one at the airport to meet us as we came off the plane with a card with our name on it. After looking around for a while we rang the car company who then sent a driver out to pick us up. would have been much easier to have know that at the beginning.

Cons: The idea that we had to take an extra 40 minutes at the car wash next door cleaning the car to avoid a $200 cleaning fee is ridiculous. Never in my life have I been forced to go to a car wash for a rental car. Never renting there again.

Cons: The van they gave us the paper work for and told us to find in the carport was not even on the premise. They said they would get it here but couldn't tell us how long it would be so gave us another van instead. The brakes were terrible, the transmission changed gear poorly (as in slipped) and the hand brake barely worked at all. I understand that cheap doesn't get good, but this thing should not have been on the road especially if it was to be rented by a novice driver.

Cons: Car was not clean. There's mould growth due to the wet carpet, it smelled like a stinky wet dog whenever we got in it and smelled really funky when we turned the heater on. Necessary especially during a winter trip. It looked like a very old, beater of a car with headlights were very dirty. Got a 2014 model but looked and ran like something built in the early 2000s. It felt like we were given a crappy car because we didn't book direct.
