Hao Rentals at Queenstown Airport

Pros: Read my Google review

Cons: Read my Google review

Pros: The shuttle bus service between car rental place and airports. The driver is helpful and friendly.

Cons: N/A

Pros: Customer service was great. Attendant was helpful and answered all questions I had. I was able to obtain snow chains at the last minute (even though I didn't need them).

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The staff were very friendly and both pickup and drop-off were super quick and easy.

Cons: The inability to get a car that was not stuck in a language we couldn't understand

Pros: Excellent - our man in the office was excellent

Pros: airport transfers

Cons: Nothing special

Pros: Super friendly. Easy and clear instructions to collect is from the airport. Thought it was brilliant overall.

Cons: Nothing super easy and efficient

Pros: Pick up from airport, quick service

Cons: Nothing, all good

Pros: They upgraded me because of the incorrect data redirected from discover

Pros: made our first international flight and rental car super easy not stressful

Cons: nothing

Cons: Could provide instructions to how to contact for pick up at the airport (e.g. free telephone outside of the airport), or provide a WhatsApp contact for data call as not all travelers will get a phone line.

Pros: so fast pick up and drop off and shuttle bus always take less than 15 minutes, Each employee is so friendly

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very welcoming

Cons: Office was in 1st floor

Pros: Friendly service, Fast and easy process, and transparency.

Pros: Speed of pickup from airport, and automation of tasks via email / checkin procedures etc.

Cons: nothing / it was PERFECT !

Pros: I don’t have any words so i can describe about their service just want to say 100 times osom ❤️

Cons: Everything was all good no any complaints

Pros: That the car actually survived our trip and that the drop off was smooth.

Cons: The man driving the shuttle when we arrived was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. He initially refused to collect our family and kept telling me it was policy for them to only collect one member of a travel group… despite the rest of the van being full of a large group of his friends. He was shady as heck. We also didn’t get the car type we booked. The car we got was old, seals falling off, stinky. I’m genuinely surprised it got us through the trip.

Pros: Friendly Staff

Pros: Great service, great car, friendly staff.

Pros: Cheap, cheerful, not a scam.

Cons: I couldn't understand the guy who picked us up when I rang them because he didn't really speak English.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean car.

Cons: We had booked a baby seat. The seat was not installed, and none of the staff had any idea how to help us install it. We stood in the cold for over and hour trying to figure it out on our own. We also booked snow chains. The day before we went to the snow, I decided to pull the chains out and practice putting them on. One chain was missing a key part. The next day we drove back to Hao Rentals to ask for new chains. Staff were very helpful and gave us a brand new pair, however they were too small.

Pros: It was great to be collected from the airport promptly, and taken to the office. The staff were super kind, and made the process quick and easy! Dropping off the vehicle was also hassle free, as they have assigned bays to park, and wait for the shuttle back to the airport. Would use again!

Pros: Friendly staff at check in.

Cons: A little slow with shuttles both ways. Also required the car to be cleaned before return with no warning when purchasing.

Pros: easy and quick

Pros: Incredibly friendly and helpful both via email and in person at the rental office. Car exceeded our expectations. Great shuttle service. Would definitely use again.

Cons: N/A

Pros: Staff were so lovely and everything went smoothly

Pros: very good

Cons: nil

Pros: Friendly customer service and very helpful. Explained all instructions thoroughly

Cons: Nil

Cons: Whether this is relevant to Discover Cars, or the sub-company who handled the actual car rental & handover I will leave that up to you. However, HAO Car Rentals who supplied us the car were horrible! Not only was the car dirty inside and out at pickup, we had full cover insurance through Discover Cars and when we had a flat tyre on the final day, not only did HAO not answer any phone calls they later had an issue with us changing the tyre ourselves and bringing back the car on the space saver

Pros: Here’s a concise review you could use: “I gave this car rental company a 10/10 because the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly and professional, the car was clean and in great condition, and the pickup and drop-off process was quick and hassle-free. Everything went smoothly, and I would definitely rent from them again. Highly recommended!

Cons: NA

Pros: Quick and easy pick up and drop off. Helpful staff. Car was great and probably the best and cheapest prices.

Pros: They appeared friendly initially.

Cons: Overall, the entire rental experience was stressful, poorly handled, and lacked transparency.

Pros: Everything! The staff and wait times were perfect.

Cons: Nothing at all

Pros: Free shuttles to and from airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Very slow pick up, other companies were doing return trips, just about to ring back when he showed up. Put bags on sidewalk, told office is upstairs. I don't want to leave bags unattended, are you going to be here? Told yes. Came back down, he was gone. Gotta like that!

Cons: Tried to scam us saying we had no excess, we had paid full cover when booked through Discover cars, doesn't count, you have no insurance with us, you must pay $2500 excess for scratches to the front skirt. Refused to drop us off, another couple caught up in this, didn't care we would all miss our flights. Told wife to phone a taxi, he was, you can't leave, he went to grab me (assault). Our autistic son is crying we will miss the flight. Not a problem to Hao cars.

Pros: Efficiency.

Cons: Irging

Cons: Late pickup. Language barrier. Tried to explain breaks squeaks and windscreen dangerous when using wipers as there seems a film on the screen or poor blades which affects visibility… just said both were a winter thing!🙄

Pros: Very seamless car rental. Friendly staff and accomodating.

Cons: Everything went really well. Our only suggestion is to simplify the shuttle pick-up instructions. The email contained a lot of information that wasn't relevant and didn't provide clear navigation at the airport. Once we found the pick-up location, we realised the process was much simpler than the instructions made it seem. A map or a simple direction such as "Locate the Commercial Transfer Area near the storage lockers" would be much easier to follow. and unclear directions

Pros: Car was clean

Cons: Dreadful customer services. Rude staff. Directions for collection are incorrect. Even airport staff couldn’t work them out

Pros: The workers were very friendly and informative, the car was exactly as expected, very decently priced, and free airport shuttle service was great.

Cons: Absolutely nothing!

Pros: Lovely rental assistant was very helpful

Cons: Having to stand out in the cold with our bags while we were waiting

Pros: Easy accessible

Cons: Nothing

Pros: good team very flexibile for my early pick up

Pros: Great and friendly customer service, the staff was very soft spoken, polite and clear with instructions.

Cons: No

Pros: Fast pick up and return, quick in response

Cons: Nik

Pros: The hire, pick up and return process were all seamless. The customer service was better than I have ever experience from rental company. Nothing was ever too much for them to do. I will be hiring from Hao rentals again!

Pros: staff very Helpful and car reliable. GOOD FOR VALUE

Pros: The shuttle was so quick Big enough for our whole family Friendly driver and helpful

Cons: We had no negatives

Pros: Helpful and patient. Thank you

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The car and speed of access.

Cons: We called for pick up but couldn't understand the driver. He he was on speaker and there was background noise and his accent was hard to understand.

Pros: Easy pick up and reasonable price

Pros: “What I liked most about the service provided by Hao Rental was how smooth and hassle-free the whole process was. The staff were friendly and helpful, the car was clean and in excellent condition, and pickup and drop-off were very convenient. I also appreciated their good communication and professional service throughout the rental.”

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very friendly.

Pros: Offered value for for money. I was after a simple hybrid vehicle at low cost and they delivered.

Pros: Hao rental were amazing. Super friendly, super helpful, and very efficient. Great price too!

Pros: First time user for after hours I was expecting a lock box type service not an actual person come to collect us which was awesome for our latish time of arrival. Being familiar to the location & knowing where and how to drive New Zealand roads made this process a breeze for the visit. Loved how the vehicle I had somewhere to place my phone for breeze of using my maps apps as well there was a placement mount for a gopro if you were to use one while driving and remember the beautiful scenery.

Cons: Not much really, just something I picked up with the vehicle that I'm sure the staff will promptly see too rectifying.

Pros: Just adequate

Cons: GPS

Pros: Cheap and friendly simple service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Pick n drop

Cons: everything was good!

Pros: I had a great experience with Hao Car Rentals. The booking process was smooth, the car was clean and well-maintained, and the team was very helpful throughout. Everything was transparent with no hidden costs, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and hassle-free car rental service.

Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Everything was perfect for us for our trip, couldn't thank the staff enough for their help.

Cons: N/A

Pros: Very helpful staff, happy with the hybred.

Cons: The GPS was difficult to use. There was no manual

Pros: Efficiency

Cons: We had to wait a little longer than anticipated to get back to the airport.

Pros: Prompt and fully informed.

Cons: Was given a keyless car to use and didn't know what to do. I might suggest that perhaps that check with the customer and explain it to them

Pros: It was easy and functioned how I wanted it to

Cons: No issues, I waited a little at the end because someone was in front of me when dropping off but it wasn’t long at all

Pros: very much positive trust worthy.

Cons: Nothing as such

Pros: Nothing. Avoid at all cost.

Cons: Nothing. Avoid all cost.

Cons: Website directs you to the wrong gate. Rang company twice to get picked up at airport. Did not arrive for at least an hour. The male maintenance person was very rude. Who was also the shuttle bus driver. The vehicle provided was very noisy in regard to clanging sounds in the rear and front. When applying the brakes it made a terrible sound.

Pros: Fast and friendly staff

Cons: There was a warning light on the dash, so I pumped the tyres up (solved), Also the 'service overdue' warning light came on everytime I started the car, but I had no actual issues with the car, it started everytime and drove farward and backwards.

Pros: Okay shuttle service from the airport.

Cons: Older car with over 115,000 km. Tires, especially the rear, needed to be replaced. General disappointment with the car rental system and the "excess" bs that breeds corruption. Be sure to DOCUMENT before and after the car condition with video and have them verbally confirm it. HAO Rentals offered us $15NZ to give them a "5-star" review > just goes to show how this industry operates.

Pros: Hao gave us the best price out of all the rental companies in Queenstown. Car supplied was larger than the one booked. They sent us 56 photos of the car taken the day we hired it - giving us confidence we would not be charged for damage done by a previous customer. Return process was quick and easy and the shuttle bus was ready and waiting to take us immediately to the airport.

Cons: Our flight was delayed so we missed the final Hao shuttle bus at 5.30pm. The woman on the phone was not very helpful but i rang back and spoke to a different person who was more helpful and we agreed we would collect the car first thing the next day. Also the car was alot older than we expected and had alot of nicks and scratches however it drove well & was clean inside.

Pros: Prompt response to questions and good service

Pros: Competitive price.

Cons: Cars are late models.

Pros: The vehicle was great at great value for money.

Cons: Their office are difficult to access on the first floor with luggage and a narrow staircase. Kids car seats where quite dirty.

Pros: It was easy and well priced

Cons: Car was average but that’s what we ordered/hired -a small cheap car- you get what you pay for

Pros: As above

Cons: Nothing to complain about.

Pros: every thing good

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Drop off process was a little slower than expected since we had to report some damage and wait for staff to inspect the vehicle. It was okay since we planned for extra time before our flight.

Pros: When requested car replacement due to battery issues agent King was quick to sort with another vehicle.

Cons: Refused to replace a battery when this should be Hao Rental responsibility.

Pros: Very professional

Pros: Everyone was helpful and efficient

Pros: Friendly, efficient, quick.

Pros: Communication and easy to understand.

Cons: Communication

Pros: Prompt,friendly

Pros: I will definately be using these guys again. Everything was just great.

Pros: Car as described. Friendly pick up and drop off to Queenstown airport!

Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Good car and friendly staff.

Cons: The only issue I had was that the SatNav in the car wasn't working properly despite the agents efforts to rectify it.

Pros: Friendly staff and good car

Cons: Nothing

Pros: I was able to complete a pre-check in so I was out the door with my car in mere minutes. The agent who checked me in was fast, efficient and friendly. The depot is only about 10 minutes from the airport and the price I paid was less than half of what rentals at the terminal cost. It wasn't a new car, but it was clean and comfortable. I appreciated that Hao didn't take an extortionate bond like some independant agencies do. Bond was only like $300, instead of $3k. Will definately be back.

Cons: No complaints!

Pros: Service staff

Cons: Car instrumentation and dash board was in JAPANESE! I could only understand the numbers.

Pros: Kind staff, easy to pick up and drop off, affordable rates with excellent liability insurance options.

Cons: N/A

Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Pros: Airport pick up could improve. But other aspscts, perfect. Highly recommended

Cons: Minor airport pick up hiccup but nothing major

Pros: Car was in good condition. It was a hybrid so it was super efficient and helped save some on petrol money.

Cons: Nothing! Everything was great, the booking process, the pick up process, the friendly staff, the return process. Everything was just great!

Pros: Reasonable value

Cons: We ordered and paid extra for navigation. We expected to get a car with modern built in navigation. Instead it was an old outdated plug in system that was clunky to use and did not have updated maps

Pros: Excellent value for money, only a short shuttle bus from the airport. Very easy pick up and drop off

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The car was in great condition and drove smoothly.

Cons: Everything was good. No complaints.

Cons: Totally inefficient, just 1 person on the counter who was doing pick up, drop off and everything else . Very hard sell on insurance

Pros: The service was very efficient.

Cons: The car fuel consumption was very high .

Pros: Why do they tell me the comprehensive insurance is not enough..

Cons: Ambushed by statement concerning insurance. That’s appalling service

Pros: The car was clean and in great condition. It made our trip very pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone visiting NZ!

Cons: nothing

Pros: Very friendly, staff wanted to help and make gave suggestions for cool stops along our roadtrip!

Cons: No complains about the service provided

Pros: The car was very clean with no bad smell, the pick-up and drop-off were fast and easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole experience made my trip very enjoyable.

Cons: Nothing in particular. I was very satisfied with the service and would rent from Hao Rentals again.

Pros: Cars condition was disgraceful. Over 200,000 km. It ran okay but the wiper blades were shot. The engine was tired in the front tires worn past safety margins. I tried to address at the office in Queenstown and was treated rudely by the manager who essentially told me that dealing with safety issues was my responsibility. Never again.

Pros: fast pick up and smooth

Cons: profecional

Pros: Car groomer was genuinely helpful

Cons: Car was an hour late

Pros: The agent was friendly and ease of service was great.

Cons: I had paid for the after hours return car pickup for my family and luggage so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting multiple Ubers in the early morning to fit all 5 of us and 5 large bags. But the service was only a small mini van that still didn’t fit everyone and I still had to take everyone to the airport first and leave them there while I dropped off the car on my own because they wouldn’t fit in the after hours return vehicle. If I had known this ahead of time I wouldn’t have paid for it.

Pros: Good service and better rates than on airport. Shuttle service is easy.

Cons: A lot of photos of vehicle to check through. Van was black so very difficult to see faults.

Pros: Easy online service mainly, friendly staff, straight forward

Cons: After hours took a little longer than desired, car pretty average condition almost wouldn't start a few times

Pros: Great pick up and drop off in their shuttle. This made everything very easy. The hire place is close to the airport and has a petrol station one block away. The car ran well. I may recommend you don’t put those smelly things in the car. They are super toxic and are endocrine disrupters.

Cons: My bond was actually deducted from my account. I await this return, and don’t think I should have to wait up to 7 days to see it in my account. It’s meant to be “held” but not debited. I asked about it and the guy basically dismissed my question. In the email I sent they said it was on hold, yet my bank statement says it’s been debited.

Pros: Value for money, pick up and drop off speed, agent helpfulness, car condition. I would use Hao rentals again for sure.

Cons: there was nothing I didn't like.

Pros: 181000 km on van. Paperwork showed no scratches or dents on van, counter guy says don't sweat it, the customer is responsible for documenting all of that. The paperwork was all done on my phone so no way to document defects. We made videos but felt very uneasy with it all.

Cons: Shuttle made us wait over 30 minutes to pick us up in dark at airport. Then wait over 20 to return to airport after for flight.

Pros: Everything was relatively easy, the car was great, and the price was very competitive.

Cons: The contact process on arrival wasn’t great - called a number but no-one to speak to so it wasn’t clear whether the message had got through.

Pros: Very good car (better than the expected one) and very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: There was a problem with the person who should have picked me up of which if wasn't informed and I had to call again and got picked up quickly then.

Pros: The woman in the office was awesome! Super friendly, patient and explained everything really well.

Pros: Value for money car with great receptionist

Cons: Being expected to clean the exterior of the car, and requiring a bond when we had already paid for full insurance.

Pros: Quicky speedy service

Cons: Wasn't clear where pickup at Queenstown airport was and would be good if they indicated this via email or via the website

Pros: Rattled and made lots of noise, felt unsafe

Cons: Took us an hour to get the car because it wasn’t ready

Pros: Radio screen and navigation was all in foreign language and couldn’t use it at all.

Pros: Horrible experience and would not recommend.

Cons: Would not recommend this to anyone else. Forced an upgrade which I had no choice but to pay for the next day as the first car was horrible and had no pick up. You have to walk up stairs to get to their counter so you cannot leave the luggage unguarded. Also the pick up in Queenstown is not in the airport.

Cons: Didn't seem to care that things in the car didn't work properly and said there was nothing they could do.

Pros: friendly staff, got a hybrid car which was great. location is close to the airport but not walking disctance

Cons: had to wait a long time for the shuttle to and from the agency to the airport because there's only 1 shuttle. Car isn't the newest model so not new but still good to drive.

Pros: Unfortunately, the recurring car error message “Drivetrain-Check soon” together with the noticeable low acceleration raised ongoing concerns about the car’s safety and performance. We also needed to wait for more than 45 min before the shuttle arrived to take us to the airport.

Pros: So friendly

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Not adequate. Elderly people need assistance to load the vehicle not by showing the boot to load the luggage

Cons: Need a mobile service for the customers where they are. Please don't waste the customer's time to come to your yard to fix the vehicle.

Pros: Everything much as expected

Cons: Having to scan driving license, passport, etc of both drivers

Pros: Nothing good a

Cons: Faulty cars The tyres were flat when given to me The cars were not serviced at all. The first car broke down because the engine over heated. The second had a persistent flat leaking tyre Very unhelpful people in who denied multiple times that there were issues despite it being obvious

Pros: Slight delay getting picked up from airport but very quick pick up process once at the office. Drop off also very quick and easy.

Cons: Car very old, automatic transmission had issues and indicator lever on wrong side. But overall no major complaints given the price paid.

Pros: Really lovely people such a quick efficient transfers to the airport. I have never collected a hire car with such ease and speed and they were incredible efficient without the usual upselling tactics you seem to get from the bigger rental companies! Highly recommend!

Cons: Nothing, they were great!

Pros: Easy, great little vehicle

Pros: Friendly counter service on pickup

Pros: Easy breezy transaction.

Cons: None

Pros: Speedy online check in & friendly people

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very accommodating

Cons: Not one negative

Pros: I got what I paid, the car was not the best but it did the job however in future I’d spend a bit more to be guaranteed a reliable car

Cons: They were great and helpful I felt safe

Pros: like Hybrid car, Hao rental even had mobile phone holder and charger in the car

Pros: Excellent friendly customer service

Pros: Excellent customer service

Pros: Friendly and responsive

Cons: Nothing. They were great

Pros: We did our check-in online and were able to get the keys right away upon arriving at their store via their free shuttle service from the airport. It was overall very smooth both during pickup and drop-off. It is always good to have their full coverage insurance for a peace of mind when travelling. We like that we were able to get a car reserved days before our arrival with the rego (license number plate) in order for us to book some tourist location in advance e.g. deer park at Queenstown.

Pros: Received promised vehicle, which was clean and in good condition. Drop off was good.

Cons: Phone number provided for late pick up was incorrect. Rang 6 times, no answer. Thankfully pick up agent called (on a totally different number). Got a bit stressed thinking we were going to have to sleep in the airport.

Pros: The agent who I dealt with on arrival excelled in customer service. One of the most efficient and friendly customer service experiences I've had.

Cons: The car had a very slight odd smell, which may have been mustiness or may have simply been a cleaning product. It wasn't awful, just noticeable each time I got into the vehicle.

Pros: Quick pickups

Cons: See my comments

Pros: finally got me a car

Cons: unhelpful person who I spoke to .

Pros: The insurance full cover is hassle free I only needed to fill in one page report form since I bumped into a big stone when turning left, so the lower bumper is damaged.

Pros: very cost effective and very friendly

Cons: their check in service took a long time since it was all self entered. credit card verification mostly required an active phone number. Hard for international vistors.

Pros: Customer service was excellent, price as well

Cons: nothing :)

Pros: Everything ran smoothly, from pick up to drop off.

Cons: They were very friendly. I like friendly people.

Pros: The pricing for the hire was very good.

Pros: their friendly agents and and quick service

Cons: They claimed the snow chains damage, but no proof shown. It is what it is.

Pros: Super friendly and helpful agent, I had double purchased insurance and helped me out here.

Pros: Staff, the flexibility, the price and how accomodating they were.

Pros: This is my second time using Hao Rentals, and once again, they’ve exceeded my expectations! The service is reliable, the vehicles are clean and well-maintained, and the entire rental process is smooth and hassle-free. I would 100% recommend Hao Rentals to anyone looking for a dependable day-to-day vehicle. Their professionalism and customer care truly set them apart. I’ll definitely be back again!

Pros: Great comany excellent customer service.

Pros: Very friendly staff

Pros: Friendly and helpful.

Pros: Good prices (less than many)

Cons: They didn't have enough staff at drop off. There was confusion about who was driving the shuttle back to the airport. It took 45 minutes. Luckily we had allowed extra time

Pros: friendly staff

Cons: We did not get the make and model of the car that we booked. We were given a smaller car that did not meet our expectations. It did not have cruise control. It did not have GPS connectivity. Very high humming sound when ran on battery power. It did not appear to have power steering (too hard). We requested several times over the phone and via email to swap the car, but no response from the staff. We visited your office personally, but the staff said you did not have a car with cruise control.

Cons: Hao rentals acted disgracefully when returning the car which was also old and in an unsafe condition. The car was already full of paint chips that had been painted over, however when we returned the car they pointed out a tiny mark and demanded we pay $1,500 or we would not be allowed leave the country or be dropped to the airport, my wife and I felt threatened and extremely intimidated by the staff on site. Upon researching the company further we discovered they have done this to others before.

Pros: Friendly, helpful.

Pros: All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: All good.

Pros: Excellent price, great staff

Cons: Difficult to find, shuttle bus takes a long time

Pros: A no-frills service that was good enough for our modest needs.

Cons: The in-car GPS didn't work so we had to use a phone. There was a bracket for this and an in-car charging lead, so it wasn't a big problem.

Pros: Easy to arrange in advance.

Cons: Took photos of damage on car and windscreen. Agent tried to charge us for a chip to the windscreen which was pre existing.

Pros: Quick, friendly and easy to deal with.

Cons: 1) Requested a "Non Hybrid"-Got a Hybrid - OK. 2) Requested a "Saloon"- Got a wagon-OK 3) Tried to up sell Insurance - have already got this thru the booking Company. Fortunately this was picked up by one of the other staff & amount was refunded - Great 4) No 12volt charging facility that worked - very frustrating trying to work while on the road - had to buy " Power Banks". 5) On returning the vehicle I made mention of the "No charging facility"- Didn't they give you a "Blue" charge cable - NO

Pros: Very convenient prices and fast online check in process

Cons: Everything was great

Pros: Really affordable, good car and value for money

Cons: Car smelt like cigarettes and pick up shuttle from airport was slow we’re waiting at least 30min

Pros: I had an excellent experience renting a car from Hao Rentals . The booking process was easy, and I was able to secure a great deal. The car was in perfect condition and exactly as described. The staff was very friendly and efficient, making both pickup and drop-off smooth and quick. I definitely feel like I got great value for my money. I highly recommend Hao Rentals and will definitely rent from them again next time with their full insurance options and not through any online agencies!

Pros: Friendly customer service , clear explanations

Cons: No

Pros: pick up was great and the agent who helped me was very kind and professional.

Cons: - car wasn’t in the bestest of condition although it was good for what we needed. - drop off was bad. got there before our drop off time and the office was closed at 8:30. called multiple times and there was no answer. after 10 minutes a shuttle showed up but it was very confusing and left us worried we could miss our flight we were calling an uber. would recommend better response time. - too many numbers to choose from in calling for assistance it was confusing

Pros: The hybrid car was an excellent choice for NZ with fuel prices around NZ$2.85/ltr. Fuel economy was around 5.4ltrs/100klm.

Cons: The car's manual was entirely non English so it was impossible to find out the finer details on how the car operated. There was no way to convert the on screen warning display to English. You have to check if the car has a spare. When we picked up the car they had already loaded our bags on top of the spare, so I didn't check. 20 day later, we realised that we had no spare. We were very lucky not to have had a puncture.

Pros: A better car than expected

Cons: Pick up was slow. I did not need drop off

Pros: Great pricing, friendly customer service and an excellent little vehicle. Will definitely use again when back in Queenstown, and I would strongly recommend HAO to anyone

Pros: Such good value & excellent people

Pros: Brie was the girl in the reception area and was super lovely to deal with.

Cons: Everything went smoothly from pick up through to drop off.

Pros: Quick and friendly service.

Pros: Having a seamless shuttle pick up at airport was so much better than waiting in a long line at airport.

Pros: Easy to use and fast to get car sorted

Cons: Staff willing to help sort out car seats

Pros: The drop was quick . One younger guy was very polite and smiling but did not had much power .

Cons: i had requested for Hybrid car but they offered Petrol version mid sedan . i specifically booked small car for better mileage but they said due to heavy traffic they only have the toyota corrola .

Pros: Excellent customer service!

Cons: Quick and easy process

Pros: Friendly helpful and waited for us after our flight was diverted and we had to pick up after hours

Pros: Nice people, car was as stated.

Cons: The car was older than we are used to when renting (it had done 140k miles) but we understand that it quite common in New Zealand.

Pros: Clean car and good service!

Cons: Shuttle took a while to come pick us up

Pros: Counter and shuttle driver services was good. But the car they provided was kind of old and a bit dirty. I will not recommend it.

Pros: Reliable pickup arrangement

Cons: Car is rather old and had lots of milage.

Pros: Great experience overall.

Pros: Drop off was straight forward Overall, the car is clean The lady at the counter was informative and helpful.

Cons: Online pickup request was useless, AI generated response lack of relevance to our queries. The mobile number provided was no use to organize our pick up. The car's condition is not great, guess it is normal for a rental car.

Pros: My drop off lacked urgency, and I had a plane to catch

Cons: The price is amazing

Pros: The reception lady was very friendly and helpful

Cons: Would have been good to have gotten a hybrid car

Pros: the staff was friendly

Pros: Friendly staff, easy process

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very nice lady on the desk. Quick turn around on collect and return.

Pros: Very heplful easy process would highly recommend recommend.

Pros: Price.

Cons: Everything else. - All instructions in the car - the central dashboard panel, the instruction manual, even the instruction on the fuel lid were in Chinese or Japansese (Not sure) but no English language. This was ridiculous with no option to change. - We rented a GPS system which did not work at all. It needed a nail & hammer to touch and operate. - The car's engine condition was very poor. - At the drop-off, the representative was mindlessly argumentative when we highlighted the issues.

Pros: Friendly and efficient service. Will definitely use again on our next trip to Queenstown!

Pros: Friendly service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: spot on

Cons: Hybrid car changed to fuel muncher

Pros: Very helpful and efficient staff

Cons: Na

Pros: Excellent value for money, good service provided

Pros: Will definitely use Hao rentals Queenstown again

Pros: Excellent

Cons: The car did have a funny smell but apart from that everything was fabulous

Pros: My only disappointment is that we alert asked to clean the car before returning. Never have I had to clean a rental vehicle

Pros: Very friendly and quick service. The ability to pre-fill the form is a big plus!

Cons: It took a little time to wait for the shuttle but nothing major. All else was excellent .

Pros: fast and efficient

Cons: I would rather just drop the car at the place, not pay the extra charge for the off-hours + shuttle drop off and go to the airport walking.

Cons: It was not disclosed how far away from the airport this company is actually situated so that was a big waste of time. Also, I didn't get the car I ordered which was a Nissan. I got an email the day before pick up telling me I was collecting an MG. If I had wanted an MG I would have selected one. I did not want one and they had zero other options available. I don't even believe they necessarily had the car I wanted, probably just give everyone an MG because they have so many because they' cheap.

Pros: Easy communication, friendly staff, and car was excellent. Thanks so much.

Pros: Friendly guys

Cons: delay in picking up the car

Pros: They were super polite and efficient.

Cons: Nothing, they were great

Pros: Easy and Efficient

Cons: They are clearly under staffed because I’ve called serval times and been told they will call me back every time. Instead of dealing with the issue when I’ve called them.

Pros: Very friendly staff, easy to book, easy to pick up and drop off

Cons: Nothing at all to complain about
