Pros: very cost effective and very friendly

Cons: their check in service took a long time since it was all self entered. credit card verification mostly required an active phone number. Hard for international vistors.

Cons: They didn't have enough staff at drop off. There was confusion about who was driving the shuttle back to the airport. It took 45 minutes. Luckily we had allowed extra time

Cons: We did not get the make and model of the car that we booked. We were given a smaller car that did not meet our expectations. It did not have cruise control. It did not have GPS connectivity. Very high humming sound when ran on battery power. It did not appear to have power steering (too hard). We requested several times over the phone and via email to swap the car, but no response from the staff. We visited your office personally, but the staff said you did not have a car with cruise control.

Cons: Hao rentals acted disgracefully when returning the car which was also old and in an unsafe condition. The car was already full of paint chips that had been painted over, however when we returned the car they pointed out a tiny mark and demanded we pay $1,500 or we would not be allowed leave the country or be dropped to the airport, my wife and I felt threatened and extremely intimidated by the staff on site. Upon researching the company further we discovered they have done this to others before.

Cons: The in-car GPS didn't work so we had to use a phone. There was a bracket for this and an in-car charging lead, so it wasn't a big problem.

Fortunately this was picked up by one of the other staff & amount was refunded - Great 4) No 12volt charging facility that worked - very frustrating trying to work while on the road - had to buy " Power Banks". 5) On returning the vehicle I made mention of the "No charging facility"- Didn't they give you a "Blue" charge cable - NO

Pros: I had an excellent experience renting a car from Hao Rentals . The booking process was easy, and I was able to secure a great deal. The car was in perfect condition and exactly as described. The staff was very friendly and efficient, making both pickup and drop-off smooth and quick. I definitely feel like I got great value for my money. I highly recommend Hao Rentals and will definitely rent from them again next time with their full insurance options and not through any online agencies!

Cons: - car wasn’t in the bestest of condition although it was good for what we needed. - drop off was bad. got there before our drop off time and the office was closed at 8:30. called multiple times and there was no answer. after 10 minutes a shuttle showed up but it was very confusing and left us worried we could miss our flight we were calling an uber. would recommend better response time. - too many numbers to choose from in calling for assistance it was confusing

Pros: The hybrid car was an excellent choice for NZ with fuel prices around NZ$2.85/ltr. Fuel economy was around 5.4ltrs/100klm.

Cons: The car's manual was entirely non English so it was impossible to find out the finer details on how the car operated. There was no way to convert the on screen warning display to English. You have to check if the car has a spare. When we picked up the car they had already loaded our bags on top of the spare, so I didn't check. 20 day later, we realised that we had no spare. We were very lucky not to have had a puncture.

This was ridiculous with no option to change. - We rented a GPS system which did not work at all. It needed a nail & hammer to touch and operate. - The car's engine condition was very poor. - At the drop-off, the representative was mindlessly argumentative when we highlighted the issues.

Cons: It was not disclosed how far away from the airport this company is actually situated so that was a big waste of time. Also, I didn't get the car I ordered which was a Nissan. I got an email the day before pick up telling me I was collecting an MG. If I had wanted an MG I would have selected one. I did not want one and they had zero other options available. I don't even believe they necessarily had the car I wanted, probably just give everyone an MG because they have so many because they' cheap.

Cons: I asked for an AWD drive, after I booked in online I was provided with an 8 seater van which was quite unsuitable - I asked for an AWD specifically as we wanted to travel up to the snow. when we went to drop off the car there was no one there. service was to open at 8am - we arrived at 8.30am. I tried calling for 15 min and no one picked up, I then emailed and someone said they would come in 5 minutes. I felt this was very unprofessional.
