Straight away we went back, apparently the person I was dealing with is gone already, so I told the other staff about the issue and she ask me a question have attached to the windscreen . My reply to her was no. I said ok I'll give it a go, and still dropping out, said to my wife it's late will do this tomorrow. The next day, my wife went to explained the issue , and she said there were issues with the navman, hence they gave my wife a new navman,

Cons: The condition of the car as indicated by the desk staff did not allow for a number of pre existing scratches on both lower rear flanks. I sent an email to reservations but had no confirmation of receipt. Also had no communication since drop off 2 days ago that the damage deposit sum would be repayed

Cons: The stuffs at Sixt counter Queenstown airport sounds like not quite familiar with the procedures of damages covered by insurances for a customer who bought the fully Insurance through Discover Cars. When I returned the car key and told the stuff a small pebble hit car window and probably a paint chip on engine cover and She demanded customer should pay $3000 for that. I think it will make customer feel comfortable that SixT due wth Discover Cars for any damages rather than to customer directly.

Pros: The car was booked through a third party. When we collected the key and did the paperwork they said I would be charged the $4000.00 excess if there was any damage to the car. I proved by the paperwork I had that I had paid for full insurance. Their computer system was down and we had to pay for more insurance to make sure we were covered. This is just not good enough and feel we are owed the original insurance that I paid for. Interestingly their computer system was still down when I returned.
Cons: They did not have any of the make or model I booked. I was very specific about this as it was for a special occasion. I am a customer of Giltraps and learnt when I had my car serviced the week before that they own this company.

Pros: The agent at drop off asked if I filled the car, then advised to fill it up rather than them as it would be cheaper for me. That advice I really appreciated! Saved me money and fortunately I arrived a little earlier than expected.

Cons: The insurance part. When your online it tells you to watch out for the staff that want to sell your more insurance. When arriving sixt sold me more insurance as it made the excess zero, as the excess online was $3000???

Cons: I was charged an extra $133 two days after car was returned in the same condition we got it. I emailed to question it and three days later still no reply !!! I was told I’d get my $250 bond back 4-5 days after returning the car, it’s now day 6 and still no bond ! I’ve also emailed to follow up on it and yet still now reply ! Absolutely shit ripoff service! Will not recommend and use your service again !!!

A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
The deductible/excess amount is 4600 NZD.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
The following payment methods are accepted: Visa Debit Card, MasterCard debit card, American Express Debit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: PIN verification; cards without this capability will not be accepted.
An administrative charge of 2 % will apply for payments made using the following credit card(s): MasterCard, Visa.
An administrative charge of 4 % will apply for payments made using the following credit card(s): American Express.
Cash, Diners, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.
Adding additional drivers is allowed.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
