Pros: Car was reliable.
Cons: Customer service were inflexible when trying to rectify a mistake not of our making. Representative at pickup clearly did not enjoy their job. Would not book Europcar through a third party ever again.

Cons: I didn't like being bullied into agreeing to charges being added to the Hire agreement in excess of $800 above the pre-confirmed, fully insured agreement price. They refused a cash payment insisting on use of my credit card. They refused to allow the car to be dropped off at my ultimate destination, Auckland, from Queenstown. No prior knowledge of this restriction, no ferry crossings. I was forced to alter our travel plans to suit their requirements. The re-issue of a car in Wellington was delay
Pros: Friendly, professional and supportive of the vehicle required for our travel.
Cons: The vehicle windscreen was not cleaned, or washed upon collection. Lots of bugs left on the windscreen.
Pros: Picking up car can be more efficient if desk can be manned by one more person

Cons: We hired a baby seat and upon arrival at the car it was shoved in the back seat and not installed when we were promised weeks in advice that it would be installed. They proceeded to tell us that we do not install the seats for you. Also the seat was disgusting. Dusty, old and looked like it hadn’t been used in 10 years. There was no way we could put our 7 month old in this disgusting chair. How anyone could actually think is ok is beyond me. We had to call up a car seat company to help.

Pros: Was easy to find except the airport where their desk is closes at 5pm, luckily someone was able to let me in and the agent had left a message on board with a cell number.
Cons: Rental desk is within another airport building which closed at 5pm, was pure luck there was another person at one of the other desks that was able to catch their attention and let me in.

Pros: The staff was helping plus the car (even though not the promised one) was clean and in good condition
Cons: As mentioned above, giving customer the wrong car is seriously unprofessional. Further I didn't have an option to change it to a sedan once I saw the car even if it meant paying additional amount since you didn't have any.

Pros: It was quick and efficient, especially when I found the car they initially tried to give me had a flat tire in the car park.
Cons: It was much more expensive compared to the car I rented from Auckland through a different rental-finding service and different rental company the week before. Also disappointed the office was closed when I dropped the car off, because the rental company is claiming damages. If they were made while in my possession, I didn't realize, and having someone present to check the car in would've alleviated this stress.

A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
The driver license must be written in English alphabet.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, flight information, full G driver license.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack, Snow chains, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Cash, Cheques, Debit cards, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
