There are a number of phones in the Arrival Hall and no coins are necessary. Calls are free unless you use a mobile phone. You will be directed to the Pick up point, which is a short walk away from the terminal.

Pros: Didn’t realise discovercars was a third party agent I paid all the insurance asked for then when I got to Queenstown was informed I needed to pay extra $150 insurance or anything wrong with car $3200 would be taken out of my account instantly would definitely not use again

Pros: There was only 1 guy on, seemed like he was doing the pick up- drop off of the cars as well as handling the reception desk. He was super chill & although there was some miscommunication he was pretty quick at dealing with the situation

Cons: The communication giving on email was incorrect, the option of the number was not 5 but 4. As instructed I called the rental after getting off my flight to get a free shuttle but that was not the case.

Pros: The staff were efficient, but they are just too busy.

Cons: The car was from the Scotties Rent A Car and all their cars are so old, not in a good condition. I heard many customers having problems with their car. Also there was only one staff at the office serving all the customers, including picking up and dropping off at the airport! So you can imagine how busy the staff was.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 1520.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 20 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver's license printed in a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) must be supplemented by an official translation issued by an embassy or other authority.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours

If the customer is late for a return for more than 120 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges. The supplier will hold the vehicle for 2 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
