Pros: Nothing

Cons: Skyfleet is untrustfull. They are the only company which don't have a office at the airport in Mauritius, which means hours of waiting before they are there. - We ordered a childseat but we never got one even though we were charged for it. - They promised to pay back the deposit which we never got back!! It is an amount of 500 euros. - 3 weeks after the trip they said we damaged the car and they charge us but we never made damage. Never book here!

Pros: The person who came to drop the car on arrival was late by 30 min. I had to spent time with my small kids after a long flight.

Cons: I shouldn’t have to keep the security deposit slip, this is too risky if you are traveling with family, you may loose the slip and that would cause unnecessary hassle during car return.

Pros: Rental desk in building, ie weather not influencing picking up your car.

Cons: Taking too much time for refund of deposit held on your credit card upon returning the car when time is tight to catch your plane - especially early in the morning.

Pros: When we arrived everything was scheduled so we didn't have any unscheduled delays

Cons: I'm not so sure it was an issue with SkyFleet as much as it was across Mauritius, but there isn't much sense of urgency. Everything happened at a very leisurely pace so if you're in a hurry this could be aggravating. I would also recommend not getting the GPS system. The GPS is not updated. When we went to Port Louis it directed us to construction sites with road closures several times.

Pros: the customer service feedback

Cons: They charged a different amount of money on my credit card increasing of 10% more on the actual price from the one that was booked on-line. They put a different exchange rate. Very unprofessional and close to fraud.

Pros: The car was relatively easy to pick up and drive, although I had to spot the scratches and scuffs on the car and ask the agent to note them down! They were ready to sign off the car in its current condition without noting any scratches which would have caused hassle when we dropped it off.

Cons: We paid EUR12 a day for a GPS that wouldn’t work and wouldn’t give us the correct routes. When we asked for a refund they wouldn’t give it to us, and the agents apparently couldn’t do anything. Would not recommend this company.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 500.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: credit card, valid driver license, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with following payment methods: Cash, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
Underage additional drivers are also subject to a young driver fee.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers.
The first additional driver is allowed free of charge.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied. Delivery service is not available for rentals shorter than 5 days.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 90 minutes.
