DiscoverCars.com is proud to announce another recognition — this for winning the Business Intelligence Group's 2026 Artificial Intelligence Award.
About the awards
The Artificial Intelligence Awards are one of multiple awards handed out by the Business Intelligence Group, an independent organization that has been recognizing other organizations with various awards since 2012. Examples of BIG's awards that DiscoverCars.com has been recognized in are the Best Places to Work Awards and the Excellence in Customer Service Awards.
The process
Companies are invited to apply for the awards by submitting evidence of the impact of AI on their organization, product, or individual performance through concrete measurements or analysis. The entries are then judged by a large panel of experts with direct experience in AI.
What makes this achievement special
DiscoverCars.com has always wanted to use every opportunity to make the car rental experience better for travelers. We have put a particular focus on using AI in this regard over the past year.
We've long placed an emphasis on using AI in all aspects of our team's work, and have members of our team share their knowledge with all others. The culmination of this was hosting an AI hackathon at the end of January this year.
Our AI hackathon was similar to a traditional hackathon, but with a focus on using AI to solve practical problems for our company and customers. This means that all team members, no matter their role, not just software engineers, were able to participate. In fact, we had over 100 team members in around 25 different teams participating. And every one of those teams produced a working solution by the end of the two days.
So it's particularly special to be recognized by the Business Intelligence Group for our use of AI for automation. This award will keep us going forward in the direction we've already been going.
