Key Go Rent at Alicante Airport

Pros: The vehicle was clean and tidy. Drove well.

Cons: Customer service, particularly on drop off. Very slow and limited information.

Pros: Drop off was very quick when returning car and shuttle drop back to the airport.

Cons: The free shuttle service failed to pick up, I was at the pickup point for 45minutes and there was no sign of the van. I asked other companies and told I was in the correct place, I saw Enterprise, Drivilla & all the others pass by 3 times, but no sign of KeyGo, tried calling the office but no one answered. Finally fed up of waiting, had to go back up to the taxi rank to get delivered to their site location at a cost of €10, as it was not close to the airport. No apology by the assistant!

Cons: Process and procedures that don't work. A flat tyre cost me around 800 euro mostly because KeyGo had registered it wrong and roadside recovery would not attend

Pros: It was fairly priced and I've used before, which had been good

Cons: Had to wait 40 minutes for pick up and was lied to on phone about van being on way more than once. Also they queries a mark on the car when returned, but I had photos and video (numerous dents and scratches), which I'm careful about after prior experience elsewhere. Pick up was biggest issue and I'll probably not use them again.

Cons: It was 9pm when we picked up the car. It was dirty inside and out . We took pictures as it had few scratches and a smashed fog light. I told the staff . They said it didn't matter as we had full coverage. I said I wanted to let them know we didn't do it. They said it didn't matter. As we drove off there was no windscreen wash. Which made us worry if there was also oil. We checked everything ourselves the next day

Cons: I found the bus location relatively easy but then I wasn't sure on process so I called the number on the email and spoke to a lady who said someone would pick us up shortly. Maybe emails could clarify if bus comes regularly or if you call to arrange as that was a bit confusing

Cons: Could not find the rental when dropping car off, directions would not come up on sat nav. when contacting KeyGo they were no help basically saying to google maps it after telling them it’s not coming up. After driving around the airport and loosing petrol that they then took it off of my deposit as the tank wasnt full on drop off. They eventually sent me their live location as I told them they were no help. Quite miserable staff

Pros: The staff were very efficient & helpful. There's always a fear with car rental companies that one will be charged extra for something unforeseen. Fortunately, we'd had no bumps or scrapes & were careful with where we filled up with fuel on return, so it seems that the blocked money (the car hire co's insurance), will be unlocked (this hasn't happened yet!). Tatiana at Key Go Rent was really helpful when hiring the car initially & Jasmina was quick & efficient & very pleasant when dropping off.

Cons: The waiting for the courtesy pick when we arrived at Alicante airport took some time and there was no direct number to call. This was very bad. The no. we were given did not work.

Pros: After bad experiences with other airport rental companies in Alicante I was dubious. However they proved to be very good.

Cons: The car was black and in The heat of Spain it was not pleasant. Also in the dim late evening light at pickup it was very difficult to see any previous damage. I apparently picked up a dent from a car door opening on us. However I had already taken out Excess Damage cover which I think is a must.

Pros: Straight forward pick up and drop off of rental car. Car clean and in good condition. Got the exact same car as booking form which is quite rare. Previous experience with other rental companies we always got something different in the same type of car eg economy or compact etc.

Cons: We had to wait a fair bit of time for the shuttle bus at the airport for pick up. I had seen other companies shuttle come and go 3-4 times and eventually called to make sure we were being picked up. From there everything was straight forward.
