Centauro at Alicante Airport

Pros: Nothing!

Cons: The only thing I liked about Centauro was leaving them behind at the airport. There is nothing positive I can say about this company.

Cons: Centauro, kept trying to get me to take out their insurance on top of yours. They didn't succeed. On going to the car, found it to have many minor damage issues. Took photographs and went to speak to an attendant. Who then downloaded a proforma with all the damage indicated. This should have been provided at reception. I expressed my disappointment that it was not given to me at the initial interview when given the key and location of the car.

Cons: They pushed their insurance very aggressively. Also they do not accept debit cards for deposits, even though it is stated on their page.

Pros: Generally efficient especially booking.

Cons: Drop off a little chaotic.

Cons: The car - it was under powered and extremely basic. The passengers in the rear could not fell the air conditioning which was needed for August in Spain

Pros: Always fair and good staff.

Cons: Pick up service was very slow. Waited two hours before speaking to one of the agents.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Excess insurance hard selling, agent attitude, giving incorrect information in relation to my own excess insurance. Would avoid this company again. I have been hiring cars from ALC since 2003. This was the worst experience with a hire car company. I welcome the investigation recently announced and hope the culprits, including the agent we were unlucky enough to deal with, are dismissed.

Pros: Very professional company. They provided me an unmarked clean car and did not try to invent "scratches" that I didn't make. I am so pleased that you use this company as they are always my favoured choice whenever the price is good. There are some car hire companies at Alicante Airport that I will never use

Cons: Nothing whatsoever. They have been outstanding whenever I have used them.

Pros: car and drop off area people very professional even whne i was collecting the car in the parking area they were really helpful

Cons: lady at desk was rude and aggressive, wsas forceful with sales and I didnt need the insurance, left waiting for approx 1 hr in arrivals hall while people that arrived after us got seen before us

Pros: In the terminal car pick a short walk...perfect

Cons: The condition of the car was poor the wipers didn’t work properly to clear the rain on the windscreen and the one on the back window was broken off completely. The agent who spoke to us when returning the car was extremely rude and accused us of having someone else drive the car which was ridiculous as he could clearly see that wasn’t the case.

Pros: The car was in a horrendous state with over 100 scratches and bumps and a whole door bashed in. Window wipers perished, rear reverse light out and battery in keys needed replaced after 1 day. Car steering also pulled to both the left and right.

Cons: The experience with Centauro was the worst customer service I have ever had. minimal help and information. Online booking not adhered to, rushed and rude staff. No-one would help us with our problems, unhelpful in collection area. Zero customer service in collection area and no handover of car with instructions. Merely threw the keys across the counter. Also contacted them twice to ask for help and no-one got back to me!!

Pros: Easy to find the desk and no queue. The definition of a damage is clear. No need to interact with staff when returning the car

Cons: Need to interact with staff when picking up the car for the check-in. Incomplete kit to repair car. Inaccurate damage report sheet in the contract, but harmless fortunately

Pros: Quick pick up and quick drop off Prices dropped a month or two before our trip so I cancelled my old booking and got it half the price!

Cons: Forced to pay for the car fee on my credit card (same one as the fuel and deposit) so got charged by my bank

Cons: Insurance premium is very high double of the rental. The queue is organised but we have to wait over 30 minutes to my turn to Come.

Cons: Young lady that dealt with booking at Centauro rentals desk had a bit of an attitude and didn't explain things when directly asked to !!

Pros: Centauro are usually up front about their charges and this makes them look more expensive than competitors, and this means smaller queues.

Cons: They still try to sell you their insurance even if they know you're covered.

Pros: We broke down on the second day of our holiday. The customer service was excellent and a second hire car was organised for us. Both Torrevieja office and Alicante airport staff were great. Even though we had problems, everything was sorted quickly and efficiently.

Cons: Unfortunately the rental car we collected from Alicante airport broke down on the second day and then we had to spend a day of our holiday sorting out a new hire car which we had to collect from Torrevieja office.

Pros: It was just very easy and collection/return at the airport

Cons: Would of liked someone to of checked car over to confirm ok rather than someone just taking the keys

Cons: Did not give details of damage on car only by e-mail. No reception in car park and no wi-fi in office. Had to get office to print form out for me to check all the damage on car before taking car on arrival, this slowed the earlier efficient service received and held us up a lot.

Pros: Helpful staff and simple document production supporting hire. Told we could return car empty or full, and they would replace any used and charge only that amount [hopefully, my card will confirm that is correct, when charged!]

Cons: Being bullied into biting insurance we sis t need and then bro f forced to pay €1200 da age waiver and also €36 for fuel which we had already paid for.
