Cons: have booked top car through you before and always had a very nice new car washed and ready . This time however the car wasn’t washed the windscreen was dirty and the car was left in a waste ground car park . TBH it has put me off Top Car again . We should have rejected the car but wanted to get to our accommodation . The car wasn’t washed drivable and ok but just not to the usual standard we expected .

Agreed that the car would be Full tank on collection and empty on return to make it up to us but we got a text to say we were being charged for NOT refuelling and had taken money from my card (It has now been returned)

Cons: I did email the company on the day of my arrival to express my concern regarding the state of the car and my dissatisfaction. The response I received suggested I applied to make a claim. I wasn’t looking for a claim, I was looking for a solution to the issue and support to put it right. I also offered a solution myself, as I was returning to the airport to pick up family and was happy to cooperate with any support that was offered. No support was offered, just a suggestion to make a claim.

Cons: The last minute extra costs for insurance- you have to have their insurance or pay 900 euros extra regardless. There was a delay in picking it up as it hadn’t been cleaned yet. There was no attempt to point out the existing bodywork damage (scratches on paintwork) rather this part of the car hadn’t been cleaned (though the rest of the car had been), almost masking the scratches.

Pros: The company which our hire car was from was Top Car. On arrival, their desk was really available. After a little paper work and securing a deposit, the pick up of car was fast and efficient.

Cons: I didn't take any insurance, being covered by my credit card (which is in Canadian dollars) so I had to provide a deposit of 1200 Euros from my credit card, which is normal. Instead of "freezing" this 1200 Euros, they took it and reimburse me a couple of days later. With the currency change, at the end, I lost 118,73 CAD in this process.

Cons: Car difficult to find at pick-up, because it was parked on a street rather than in a TopCar compound. On return, the agent would not inspect the car, and merely asked if it was damaged in any way, which it was not. I offered to show photos which I had taken of damage noticed at pick-up, but he was not interested in looking at them or inspecting the car with me. I trust that the damage deposit will be refunded fully.

Pros: Competitve pricing and easy drop off process. Used this provider in Tenerife last year as was same there too.

Cons: Car was very poor by comparable standards with other providers - old, clunky navigation interface, Car Play didn't work, car rattled and was under powered fo the hills of Lanzarotte, bodywork already battered, over 50,000 km on the clock and seemed every bit it's age. Uncomfortable and not the model that was booked.

Cons: The child seat booster was not in the car, needed to pick from somewhere else. Took me 15min to find the car as no one told me where it was. The agents are not very useful

Pros: The lady who greeted us was super friendly and helpful and the cost was low compared to other countries.

Cons: not enough agents to cope with the check-in (which I always find strange because we have to include a lot of info at booking stage and it feels all the same questions and info are repeated. The hire company who gets all this right would always have repeat bookings. To wait over an hour to pick up a car after a 4 hour flight is just not a pleasant way to start any holiday.

Made me laugh as they had a fair point. Returning car was simple, drop keys off job done. Would definitely hire via top car again
