I wont use Gold car again, pretty unreasonable , no picture, no proof, as If I would go to the trouble of arguing about 10 litres of fuel. I dont think I’ll use again

The second agent was constantly busy with other things like helping people with key-and-go (looks like a very unfriendly system if most customers need help with it. Also long time gone and then came back with a handfull of car-keys. Isn't there another employee who can bring the keys if there is a long queue?

Advised that the Insurance was €125& fuel deposit €250, Only received €125 fuel deposit refund. Agent scribbled various numbers on a sheet of paper, cross a few of them off and led me to believe that I could only get the car if I paid additional insurance and of the €370 charge I would get a refund of €250. Very disappointed and feel I was conned.

Cons: I use goldcar fairly regularly. The price is appealing. Firstly there is always extra marks on the car that have not been noted. Please always film the car with your flashlight switched on to pick up any imperfections. We have quite often being billed on returned to the UK. Those videos coming handy! Also on this occasion I was charged an extra £58 for not to return in the car with a full tank of petrol. I definitely did and they have since dropped the charge. I think they like to try it on.

Pros: I will say is almost level of scamming is going on here, I booked a car, car was full of damages dents scrapes you couldn't put a hand on and not have a dent but that wasn't all, I had my own deposit protection insurance so I didn't want extra insurance from them they asked for deposit I was fine with that,on purchase they add 4.5% mark up car rental was 115punds but they didn't mark up just they marked up deposit and car rental that made car rental 183punds would I recommend someone to you?

Cons: 1) We paid for a bigger car at discovery cars (Skoda Karoq), but they gave us a VW T-Roc. We had 4 bigger luggages and it was difficult to get them in the car, especially we were with 4 persons. 2) 4 other clients in front of me. Only 2 check in persons, and one of them was gone for some time. Also one helped other customer quicker than me (self check in didn't succeed by them, so he did it manually) even if they were later in the row.

The car had a loud engine rattle (when started) on collection and developed another rattle at speed over the hire period. Cons: Payment price was increased without prior notice from EUR 129.98 to EUR 148.05. The attendant was unable to change the price although agreed this shouldn’t have happened. The vehicle hadn’t been cleaned inside and was very dirty. The vehicle only had half tank of fuel on pickup. I was told to return the vehicle with the same amount but although I returned the vehicle with more fuel I was charged GBP 127.25 fuel fine. Goldcar accredited GBP 75.40 but immediately withdrew GDP 76.00.

Cons: Meer dan 2 u moeten aanschuiven voor de pick-up met misschien 15 mensen voor ons! Maar 2 medewerkers aan de balie waarvan 1 niks deed! De dame was ook heel onvriendelijk en toen ik info vroeg over de snelle pick-up die ze ook aanboden, snauwde ze: als het je niet aanstaat, annuleer dan en ga ergens anders. Ook andere klanten snauwde ze zo af. Na bijna 2u aanschuiven, kwam er een 3de medewerker en ging het iets sneller.

Cons: At check out (inside the terminal and in the car park) we were told to take photos of any damage, which we did. However, the same day we received an email of the original vehicle condition form, from “noreply@goldcar” saying that this form will be considered final if we had not reported any modifications. In fact we were not charged anything extra but receiving this mail is disturbing when one is on vacation

Pros: Drop off was efficient, and they checked the car over in 5 mins with no additional charges.

Cons: The server at the pick up desk was very pushy and tried to get me to add on extra insurance, which wasn't required as I had insurance trough Discover Cars. It would have been an additional £150 wasted as the car was checked at drop off and deemed in the same condition as when I picked it up. Luckily Discover Cars warned us when booking that this could be the case, so I am glad I heeded their advice!

Pros: The car was very good value for the week, and the location in Arrecife airport is very easy

Cons: ..her colleague and said, "it's him". She told me I was late, and she was under no obligation to keep my reservation. I told her I called and she said they got no message. She continued with this attitude saying I'm lucky she's giving me the car. At the end, when I received the invoice, I was charged an extra €52,69 for late check in. It was a terrible experience. Also, the child seat had no insert for infant (the baby is 3 months) so it was not very secure, and the seat was very dirty.

Cons: When I made an online booking I chose full insurance coverage. Once we reached the desk employee, she stated that she didn't know what I was talking about and when I showed my online reservation she said that doesn't count. Basically, I had to pay 200€ extra for full insurance on top of the 6€ per day... In the end it was twice as expensive as my friend paid at the different company.

Pros: They threatened me with police action when I took a photo of their booth to prove I was there. When I first arrived they were so terrible. Btw I normally am reactive to rude people however as I was looking forward to my vacation I was absolutely calm in my dealings with them

Cons: Heel onvriendelijk ! 2 uur in een wachtrij voor een auto waarvan we een volledige dekking in verzekering hadden zonder franchise maar wel 1100€ waarborg moeten betalen bij ophalen ? Achteraf gehoord dat dit bij heel veel toeristen het geval was en bij de minste schade ze meteen 1100€ inhielden ookal had je een volledige verzekering zonder franchise … bedrog !

Pros: It was very easy to find the Goldcar office at Lanzarote Airport, it was the one with the queue snaking around the terminal. Having joined the said queue we waited for over 2 hours during which we moved forward approximately 3 metres and had seen only 3 people in front of us served. At this point we decided not to bother queuing any longer as our time on holiday was limited and we and the people around us estimated it would be a good 4 or 5 hours before we would be able to be served.

Cons: -El tiempo de espera en agencia -la poca amabilidad del personal que le suda encontrar solución para el cliente = te dice "bueno tiene que pagar más o no le damos el coche, pero que este contenta que al menos tiene un upgrade de coche", luego no te indica donde esta tu coche -Los gastos escondidos que no aparecen para nada en la web y por pasar por discovercars te dicen que las condiciones son diferentes

Cons: Collected car from dark poorly lit building, told of multiple areas of damage (in excess of 20 areas), used car for journey to and farm airport and have been charged do an area of damage despite taking out all inclusive insurance.

Cons: Car was in a poor condition, very dirty and the tyre low pressure light was already on when I collected the car. I was charged over £1,100 deposit for a car that already had damage and scratches on nearly every panel. The car inside was disgustingly dirty. Why do you allow customers to rent vehicles in this state?

Pros: Nothing. Never chose Goldcar again. On the second day the car was without engine oil, i had to go to garage and buy it myself; the car direction was dangerously loose; on the third day, a plastic protection frontal underneath the car fell out.

Cons: Our car was hired through Goldcar. Never will i use this company for anything ever again. They found the smallest stone chip on the car and accused me of causing it when driving. As a result they charged me €86.15. This was done for the sole reason i refused to take their excess insurance as I have my own excess insurance cover. Total disgrace - How can anyone drive on a road and be accused of a stone chip ? If this was in the UK it would be deemed as fraud. Taking advantage of tourists.
