Pros: Niets !
Cons: Heel onvriendelijk ! 2 uur in een wachtrij voor een auto waarvan we een volledige dekking in verzekering hadden zonder franchise maar wel 1100€ waarborg moeten betalen bij ophalen ? Achteraf gehoord dat dit bij heel veel toeristen het geval was en bij de minste schade ze meteen 1100€ inhielden ookal had je een volledige verzekering zonder franchise … bedrog !
Pros: It was very easy to find the Goldcar office at Lanzarote Airport, it was the one with the queue snaking around the terminal. Having joined the said queue we waited for over 2 hours during which we moved forward approximately 3 metres and had seen only 3 people in front of us served. At this point we decided not to bother queuing any longer as our time on holiday was limited and we and the people around us estimated it would be a good 4 or 5 hours before we would be able to be served.

Cons: -El tiempo de espera en agencia -la poca amabilidad del personal que le suda encontrar solución para el cliente = te dice "bueno tiene que pagar más o no le damos el coche, pero que este contenta que al menos tiene un upgrade de coche", luego no te indica donde esta tu coche -Los gastos escondidos que no aparecen para nada en la web y por pasar por discovercars te dicen que las condiciones son diferentes
Pros: Easley desk access. Nee car. Clean car and good condition. Full to full fuel.
Cons: Hard sell service at the check in. Didn’t appreciate the 30mins arguments to get us to buy insurance.
Pros: Car was full of scratches,I had to go round the car with a representative to show him the scratches and made sure he made a note of them and for him to email the damage confirmation

Cons: Collected car from dark poorly lit building, told of multiple areas of damage (in excess of 20 areas), used car for journey to and farm airport and have been charged do an area of damage despite taking out all inclusive insurance.
Cons: Car was in a poor condition, very dirty and the tyre low pressure light was already on when I collected the car. I was charged over £1,100 deposit for a car that already had damage and scratches on nearly every panel. The car inside was disgustingly dirty. Why do you allow customers to rent vehicles in this state?
Cons: Parking sensors in the car were turned off
Pros: Easy pick up and ideal airport location
Cons: Tried to upsell insurance as expected. Car was covered in dents, not much left on front tyres and didn't run very well, gutless misfire but as used very little not worth the hassle of changing.

Cons: The cost was much more than I was quoted, even the rep that served me recommended I use Cicar in future.
Pros: Nothing. Never chose Goldcar again. On the second day the car was without engine oil, i had to go to garage and buy it myself; the car direction was dangerously loose; on the third day, a plastic protection frontal underneath the car fell out.
Cons: There was a huge line of people at Goldcar desk and only one person atending. We had to wait for about 30 min to pick up the car

Cons: Our car was hired through Goldcar. Never will i use this company for anything ever again. They found the smallest stone chip on the car and accused me of causing it when driving. As a result they charged me €86.15. This was done for the sole reason i refused to take their excess insurance as I have my own excess insurance cover. Total disgrace - How can anyone drive on a road and be accused of a stone chip ? If this was in the UK it would be deemed as fraud. Taking advantage of tourists.

Pros: Picking up and dropping off the car was really easy. Both the agents I dealt with were helpful and although they tried to sell me the insurance it wasn’t a hard sell. Very easy process picking up and dropping off the car.
Cons: The car was in a poor condition. Bumps and scratches all over it. It was very difficult to log all of the scratches on video and I was worried that I would be blamed for one of the many areas of damage (which didn’t happen to their credit). There were also no wheel trims on any wheel!

Pros: I hired again on lanzarote, it was so easy and helpful, like previously. A real pleasure. My only bad experience with goldcar ever has been in Amsterdam airport where they are not honest.
Cons: The Spanish sector has improved to very good standards and is very pleasurable.
Pros: Super fast service, very good explanation since it was the first time i was renting a car. I received the deposit back to my account after few hours I gave the car back. Well done!

Cons: We got the worst rental car in the entire Lanzarote. It was beaten up and dirty inside. The aircon hardly working. It should have not been in service in this poor condition.

Cons: I was deceived by the clerk on the counter for extra 180 eur payment. Nevertheless that I included on my online reservation full insurance option, she has managed to convince me, that for only 30 eur more payment I will not have to put additional 1.100 eur credit on my credit card. After a long flight and after waiting in line for more that an hour, I was tired and I believed her assurance.
Pros: Very easy to arrange online and find in the airport. The lady behind the desk was polite and friendly.
Cons: The car wasn't particularly clean when we picked it up

Cons: The wait to pick the keys up. However, this wasn`t Goldcar`s fault as there were a couple of what appeared to be awkward customers in front of us.

Pros: I liked the way we were treated and how the agent explained everything. Unfortunately we had not rented directly through Goldcar so we did not get the best prices, we got to pay extra fees that were NOT indicated at all on Discovercars. But the agent who took care of us explained everything well, even gave a courtesy call during our trip to ensure all was well.

Cons: We had to pay 210 euros more because the main driver did not have a mastercard. I had but because I was not registered as the main driver my card could not be used. When I asked if I could be the main driver that was also not possible.

Cons: The agent at the Goldcar desk was quite offhand and unfriendly. A large excess was taken off my credit card rather than just the credit card details. I haven’t experienced this with car hire before. I am unsure how long it will take for it to be refunded to my credit card, and this is an issue for me.

Cons: Damage on the car not noted on contract & agent refused to do walk around to confirm. Agent did not use confirmed uploaded data. Agent refused to accept my extra cover and insisted I must take her cover to be fully insured. Agent told me €1400 deposit would be taken in pounds Sterling the same day along with a fuel deposit that would have filled the tank 3 times over. I insisted it should be taken in Euros and was told it would incur a 7% charge. Neither deposit where actually taken.

Cons: Didn't accept my credit cards. 134 euro deposit for fuel!!! Didn't read it anywhere. Said that the insurance was not full insurance since discover cars communicate it as ful insurance. Made me pay the double to be able to have the car. The car was not in a good shape. Even without parking sensors. Overall feeled like I was ripped of very bad and couldn't do anything about it!!

Cons: Took long to get the car even though I had a reservation. There was a long queue and the representative wanted me to get a better insurance to also not have to pay a large deposit. I ended up accepting.

Cons: Never ever will I use Goldcar again. You should remove them from your discovercarhire. Total rip off, they charged me full additional insurance three times the car hire prices since they did not accept any of my credit cards. And the car was old and full of scratches and bumps

Cons: Very poor customer service.Staff are unfriendly and rude. Added an upgrade charge that we didn’t ask for and the car they gave us was what we had ordered and not an upgrade anyway. One member of staff told us this extra charge was the airport tax we said it wasn’t as it clearly stated upgrade and airport tax was showing separately.The prices we were quoted when booking were more when we had to pay.They make you pay in ponds and give a really bad exchange rate. Never refunded the fuel charge!!
