Pros: In terminal desk for easy admin. Car was waiting for us in the open air car park outside. Car was what we ordered, new and clean. Speedy return to the terminal car park. Member of staff provided excellent service trying to resolve a local parking ticket from the Police Local in Arrecife. Top Car were brilliant compared to the front desk man at Police Local or the Town Hall who basically said go away!

Pros: Easy out of hours drop off and quick return of the deposit

Cons: Arrived 25 minutes early and agent said car wasn't ready and offered an upgrade for 10 euros, I said I would wait for the booked car. No one came to the office whilst I was waiting and at the designated time I got the keys and went straight to the car park. I opened the hood and the engine was cold so the car had been there all the time. Bit disappointing as I've used Topcar many times without issue and always found the staff efficient helpful and friendly.

Pros: Drop off was quick and easy. The car was great for our needs as a family of 5. It was easy to find and the staff were friendly.

Cons: We had to wait for 30 minutes to collect the car - after the agreed time. Our paperwork also suggested that an agent would walk us around the car to note existing damages but this did not happen. We were given no assistance with the user instructions or how to fit car seats.

Pros: The car was clean. I have got my deposit back which is good, but I had to doo several videos and photos to make sure that all scratches were included. In their form I was given they highlighted just few of them.

Pros: They were quick, and didn't try to rip you off by "finding" scratches at the end. Just checked for anything obvious and the gas.

Cons: Signs to find their area in the car park would be good. Also, they don't mark any damage on the documents so you have to take photos in a dark garage with limited space. To their credit, they don't try to take advantage of you on the way back.

Cons: The car that we originally picked was different from what we received (the form did say or same) However, the suitcases didn't fit the car they gave. Once I spoke to the team they gave us the orginal car which we requested which was available.

Pros: Easy to find TopCar desk, as soon as you come out of customs. Really liked that they didn't try to sell 'extra' insurance etc. The car was very good, a couple of scratches but clean and fairly low mileage. Also a good spec car, far from a basic model

Cons: Only issue is that rather than just putting a 'hold' for the deposit on my credit card, they actually took the whole amount. It was refunded quickly at the end of the rental, but due to Credit Card companies exchange rates (i.e. they have to make a profit at each transaction), it ended up costing an extra few pounds. Why can't they just put a 'hold' on that amount - most companies do...?

Cons: I called them on the day of drop off (10 am) to ask about which car park to return the vehicle but nobody answered. I can't imagine what I would have done if I had been for an accident. The vehicle was larger than the one I requested 3 months prior to my arrival and they weren't available to change it.

Pros: Reasonable value for money, but the car did not reflect what was booked. A Fiat Panda without air conditioning versus the Fiat 500 with air conditioning which was booked

Cons: Lengthy queue to obtain documents and keys. Car did not have air conditioning although the reservation was specifically for a car with air conditioning. The queue was too long to go back and request an alternative after a long flight.

Cons: I had booked a 7 seater car. The agent did not tell me that they didn't have any 7 seater cars available and gave me a 5 seater without saying anything. When I questioned this they said they had given me a 'free booster'. I said this does not make up the difference in price as I had booked a higher class of car. Finding the agent who was actually providing the rental took a while. The queue was long and the agents took a long time to get through people.

Cons: Discover Cars deceives you into buying insurance that (you only find out later) is not from the car rental but from them. Therefore, when you pick up your car the car rental company makes you get their insurance (or leave a 900 deposit). Thus you end up paying double insurance.

Cons: We were provided wrong information about which bay the car was parked in. Car was also supplied with a tyre pressure warning indicator on and tyre was completely flat by next morning. Took over 5 hours to supply a replacement car after initially being advised it would take 60-90 minutes. We were therefore stuck in the villa for this period with 2 children. Not a great start to holiday

Cons: The car was a disgrace. It displayed a ‘service required’ light, and drove as if there was no suspension in the vehicle. I feared for my safety in the car and consequently did NO touring, using the vehicle only for hotel transfers. Extremely disappointed in this vehicle

Cons: 1. topcar gave me a death trap. No tread on outside tyre walls (I have photographs). 2. topcar clearly dont check the cars over as I would never been given this car. The tyres dont end up like this overnight. 3. Topcar were totally dismissive of this when I returned the car. I will be making an official complaint.
