Pros: Easy to find and option for free 2nd driver.

Cons: Underpowered car, smaller than expected, multiple dents and scratches were documented but the loose random internal rubber mats did not hide the state of the inside. Handbrake was also very stretched/loose. We’d actively avoid Hertz in future.

Pros: Only one operative at collection. Customer in front of queue was exceptionally slow to deal with their collection. Could do with another staff member on at busy times or when difficult customers to deal with.

Pros: The service provided was quick and efficient. They did not push the sale of extra insurance / equipment etc., to a great extent which was much appreciated. Both pick up and drop off were efficient and the car was very clean in good condition.

Cons: Insufficient information was provided about where to return the car. When I did return the car I was asked to sign a form without confirmation that no extra charges would be made [I did ask and there were none, but clarity should have been given]. The car provided was new and in good condition but it was a basic model with no extra equipment such as a media/navigation screen or parking sensors etc.

Pros: Dropping off the car was seamless

Cons: I don’t understand why we could pay for the rental with Amex, but we could not leave the deposit using Amex. Equally, I really don’t like when the company is trying to force me pay for the insurance without even saying this is what they are doing. I was offered to pay twice as agreed and leave no deposit or to pay what I agreed with a deposit, however it could not be done via Amex…

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 670.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Premium Location fee, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy

Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Wi-Fi.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
Underage additional drivers are also subject to a young driver fee.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

The first additional driver is allowed free of charge.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 2 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
