NUCarrentals at Keflavik Airport

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Moved facilities between pickup and dropoff without alerting customers. Morally questionable practice to rent lightly damaged vehicles that they photographs themselves, but demand you to produce your own photographs to not charge you for that damage.

Pros: I would use them again. They were accommodating.

Cons: The car was pretty rough... old, covered in dents and rust.

Cons: 30 min wait at the airport to be taken to the rental office. 1 hour wait for the car. 2hours wait for dropping off the car. They only had 1 person working for pickup and dropoff.The office was so crowded we had to wait outside in the cold. We finally took a taxi to the hotel instead of waiting for the shuttle.

Cons: - pickup and getting the car took 2,5 hours . The car was rubbish and had a lot of problems. It was returned the same day. The second car was usable but still in a bad condition.

Pros: I did not like anything about the service. Rude people with no respect for the customers. Will never rent through NUCARRENTALS

Cons: Nothing. The guy at the disk was so rude and charged us double for the insurance. DO not rent from NUCARRENTALS

Pros: Efficient return of car and the inclusion of airport shuttle after this.

Cons: Lack of clarity on hidden fees and during the handover of the rental car (at least 15 people waiting, no line, no organisation apart from a ticket number system which isn't made clear as you enter). I also suggest the tunnel fee in Akureyri should be mentioned during handover of the rental car to avoid huge fines and a bad surprise at the end of the trip.

Pros: The people working there were professional, friendly, and working really hard.

Cons: It was a very slow process to get and return a car, they only have one shuttle, so we waited a long time for it and it was stuffed with all the people and luggage who had joined the waiting line. The car we got needed an oil change and the engine light was on the whole trip. But it did work and we drove around without incident.

Pros: It was terrible. I hated everything. Super bad organized.

Cons: No informations. We waited more than one hour for the pick up in Keflavik. The shuttle bus was only arriving every 40 minuts, and it could carry 8 persons, and we were many to be picked up. Low information about everything. A car with a lot of lamps in the front panel. We tried to call NUcarrental to talk with them, but no luck.

Cons: The windshield wipers need replacing

Pros: Return was OK, quickly and good transfer back to airport

Cons: They did their best but were understaffed and worked slowly, so took much too long to pick up

Cons: Impossible to reach the actual rental desk in Iceland - nucarrentals doesn't actually have direct information, they tell you contact the rental desk (which is actually "City Car Rentals," and City Car Rentals literally never answers their e-mails, & is only available by phone during Iceland business hours, & only after extremely long hold times on an expensive international call. They should not be ignoring their e-mails.

Pros: Transportation from and to the airport

Cons: The time it took to get the car. The car itself, was not in the best condition.

Cons: 1) Landed in airport - no instructions on where to find NuCar or agents 2) Initial car was leaking fluid 3) Replacement car was old (over 220K KM) with many dents, key fob didn't work, plastic on key was broken making it difficult to remove key from ignition, steering wheel shuddered when braking

Cons: Old tired car, warning lights the whole time, long wait for van from airport to rental station.

Cons: It took forever at both drop off and pick up. Very inefficient! Made for a stressful morning worrying about whether we would have issues getting to our flight

Cons: They ignored my requests to replace the car which had broken sensor.

Cons: We waited in the airport about 30 minutes for the agent to arrive, and no one answered the phone at the number we were told to call. When picking up the car, there were only 2 people working at the agency and they were having computer problems so we were there over an hour to pick up the car, despite being one of only about 4 customers there. When they emailed me the rental agreement and info, it didn’t come through until much later that afternoon due to their computer issues.

Pros: exchanged cars when we the original car had mechanical issues without any problem

Cons: a more appropriate name for company would be "rent a wreck". Very old car had done quarter of a million kilometers, was scratched and dented all round with a front light missing and had a burning oil smell when stopped. Had to wait almost an hour at airport for pickup.

Cons: They rented out cars that had headlights and break lamps that were broken and the first car they offered smelled of smoke. The window broke at one point, where it stopped going up and down and we had to take it to the shop.

Cons: HIGH KM ON CAR. LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ALWAYS ON. HEADLAMPS NOT AIMED CORRECTLY-COULD NOT DRIVE AT NIGHT. TOLD AGENT ABOUT THESE ITEMS AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS NORMAL TO HAVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING BECAUSE THEY CHANGE THE TIRES OFTEN. THEY WILL LOOK AT THE HEADLAMP WHEN THEY GET A CHANCE AND ADJUST IT

Pros: Very little. If I wasn't in the country having already spent substantial money on the car, and planning to drive around Iceland I wouldn't have continued with them.

Cons: The car I wanted and booked wasn't available, the car when given to me was filthy, I was charged extra insurance despite having booked comprehensive cover. I had to pay a deposit because I protect myself by not having a credit card.

Cons: The fact that We couldn't pick-up/drop-off the car at the airport but rather at the nearby office. Most importantly though, the fact that not all of us were taken at the office to pick up the car so we had to go back to the airport after picking up/dropping of the car to collect / leave the passengers.

Cons: The car wasn’t horrible but the damages found were significant and later played a part in its convenience. The driver door was clearly hit and no longer could close properly. The car was clearly leaking oil, and the spare tire was used/worn. The car shouldn’t have been in driving condition but time was limited and they claimed they were “fully booked” so No other options were available.

Pros: Decent rates on late model cars with high kms.

Cons: It took almost 2 hours to drive away with car.

Cons: It was a little confusing that I made the booking with NuCarrentals but when I got to Iceland I went to a building that said City Car Rental/Nordic Car Rental. It would have been less confusing if the names were the same.

Cons: huge deposit fee, cigarette burns and stains in the car, petrol wasn't full when I picked up yet I filled it on return, they chose to keep some of my deposit for no reason (40 euros), waiting time, the car generally, broken rearview window wiper, broken A/C, long waiting time during pick up and drop off, disorganised team.

Pros: the people working there were nice.

Cons: Our car was terrible and the gas gage didn't work so we never knew how much gas we had left in the tank. When we returned the car and told them about how disappointed we were about the gas cage not working, I asked to get some discount for the inconvenience and they would not give me a discount. They did not provide good customer service.

Cons: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Basically ruined the first day of my trip. My flight was delayed and as soon I found out I let the company know. However, they had nothing available and every company was booked. AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND

Cons: I paid for the rent of the announced rent, it's a robbing company, we never rent them out, we're even haggarding them!
