At the rental place, the workers were rude and did not care. If you asked them questions they said they just work here, send an email. The car was all dented and we had alarms and signals going off. We had to change the car. The second car was missing a letter in the name, a door was a different colour, a bumper off

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

And at the end of the pick, they charged me an additional 280,000 ISK for damages to the side of the car they said I was responsible for and had to pay. Pros: The car itself was incredible for the price. The guys in the office were also very nice and friendly.

Cons: The information given beforehand does not explain that they accept only credit cards and literally nothing else for deposit. It creates problems during pick-up for customers and lots of delays (which affect both pick-up and drop-off times, since the desks are not separated). Also, if you fail to bring the credit card (and only credit card), you are forced to pick one of their insurance programs (they are unable to freeze your deposit without the credit card)

Cons: I would not recommend this rental service. The customer service was awful; we waited for an hour to be dropped off at the airport. When I asked about the shuttle bus's departure time, the Polish staff were extremely rude. They were also yelling at other customers, threatening legal action if they didn’t pay for extra insurance. This experience significantly tainted our trip to Iceland, which would have otherwise been perfect. I will definitely not rent a car from here again.

The car had a loose bolt holding the door together and then when they saw that it had come off when returned they charged us $1,500 to fix it and to repaint the tiniest chip of paint. Ridiculous!

The vehicle had over 250,000km with numerous issues that almost left us stranded. Fuel gauge was at 1/2 tank when we stopped to take a photo near GullFoss, after the few minutes for the picture we returned to vehicle and were welcomed by the fuel warning light and the gauge now blinking at zero. Cons: They didn't want to take my CC CDW insurance. They said they were not affiliated with Discover cars. The car was 6000KM over the oil change, had 2 alerts on the dash board, was unbalanced, and the clutch (and I drive a standard) was shot. The studs were flat w/ the tires. The trunk didn't latch securely. And the windows were filthy inside and out. We picked up in the rain. We were parked in a puddle, the doors left open so the car was wet and steamy. It was take it or leave it.

Cons: They didn't give us studded tyres for winter and it was a nightmare to drive only with the winter tyres that they offered. They gave us a very old car at the beginning that it was not the car we booked. I have to come back from reykjavik to change the car for the model that I booked. But one more time it was without the studded tyres and are really necessary everywhere. in iceland all the cars we saw had the studded tyres and it was very irresponsible for the company yo put our lives in risk.

Not being able to have the whole party in the shuttle was a little inconvenient and lastly the shuttle driver was preoccupied reading his notes than driving causing more swerving in the snow.

Due to the draft and the wind in Iceland the back of the van could not be warmed. Not a big issue but this could have been dangerous if we would have had an accident.

Cons: During the rental period, the rear bumper was scuffed, however, the rental company claimed the bumper was moved and forced us to sign an acceptance form or miss our flight stating if we refuse they will not drop us at the airport. Considering the location of the rental company, this left us with no choice other than to sign and pay the excess of +700eur for a surface scuff. When collecting the car it already had 2 dents and a chipped window.Pay close attention to the Insurance packages offered.

Cons: The process of shuttling people to/from the airport to the rental facility needs some serious improvement. There was only one driver working and he took people in the order in which they approached (or found) him, rather than in the order of their flight arrival.

His attitude was extremely poor and working in the service industry myself, I was stunned by his lack of patience and his insistence that I paid the extra to proceed.

Car had multiple scratches, pits in windshield... I was supposed to photograph them, but it was raining and there were so many that didn't even show up. With a car with that many scratches, they might think about only looking for something really major in terms of damages.

When we arrived, we were told clearly that our "comprehensive" insurance wouldn't cover any driving on unpaved roads (nor a list of other things like wind or animal damage that we would have little control over). This should be spelled out in the car descriptions, as we would probably have rented a smaller, cheaper car if we'd known that our 4x4 wasn't going to offer any additional driving flexibility.

Cons: The condition of car they provided is not that great. When I asked for a better car. They simply refused claiming the car is in a good condition. The car was wobbling while breaking, A/C not working, oil change indicator came up, fog light was broken. They claimed it’s a fairly new car, but it can guarantee it’s very old and has already been used up a lot. It’s not a car that could be rented to the customers especially when the customers would be driving in the mountains where help is difficult.

Pros: The service was quick, efficient, and they didn't waste much of my time by trying to sell me various add-on insurance packages. They provided useful information on Icelandic driving condition and weather websites.

Cons: I had a couple questions about the vehicle which weren't covered in the vehicle hand-over discussion, but I was able to ask the Icerental representative and get those questions answered quickly.

Cons: The car already had quite some mileage (210.000km), which was noticeable in some minor defects: passenger window could not be opened, because it would come loose from its rubber guidings, after 3 days we got an amber 'change engine oil message', so the car should have received regular maintenance to change oil (filter). However, the car did what it had to do, and brought us safely to all our destinations.

After spending an hour and they thought that we are not going to give up they find a right size vehicle for us. When we return the vehicle they came up with there is few scratches/ damage by upper rear bumper which we might have missed when we picked up the vehicle. Same issue with one Senior Lady they claimed you have 42 scratches. NO NO

A map of all parking lots requiring payment not made clear (only a couple were told about) as I got ticket at one with no signage that I could see that you needed to pay (very expensive service charge as well). Would be nice to get a type 2 to type 2 plug to plug in at charge stations for hybrids like I had.

Cons: The previous vehicle damages the company reported on the form during pick up were inaccurate. Despite informing the company of the additional damages noted within an hour after pick up AND taking timestamped photos of the damages, the drop off agent was giving a difficult time about the pre-existing damages that the company failed to properly document. This raised suspicion of whether the company tried to scam their customers.

Cons: Almost everything was terrible! - Cars provided have high mileage (+180000km) - Car quality is atrocious. Our car had scratches and broken parts everywhere. Broken USB plug, broken passenger window, the chassis underlay fell on the ground, the wheel alignment was off, the car interior lights didn't work. - The customer service is atrocious. No customer focus, our car lost the chassis underlay at 9pm. We called the rental agency straight away who directly accused us of breaking the car withou it.

Cons: few dents around the bodywork and on the wheels, but was a bit slow on the collection of the vehicle due to not enough pickup vehicles coming to the airport which meant that my wife had to wait for the second vehicle to pick her up but I went ahead to sort the car out.
