Pros: Absolutely nothing

Cons: We arrived into the airport and the agent wasn’t there with our car had to phone them could hardly understand them said they would be there in 15 minutes. They didn’t show up so I ended up renting a car from Hertz. I would never use this outfit again my payment, when I get back to Canada, I will be phoning them and giving them shit

Pros: Agent was informative.

Cons: Car was older than any we’ve ever rented. The windows wouldn’t roll down and some of the buttons on the panel didn’t work. But we made it!

Pros: Service ok.

Cons: The car was very dirty. All kind of scratches and dents. Driven 250000 km When I picked up the car I specifically asked about condition of spare tire. Before leaving Reykjavík I checked spare tire again. It was flat! Had to drive back to Kaflsvik to have it replaced.

Pros: It was a four wheel drive as booked. Easy to return.

Cons: Hard to find the pickup agent at airport. Waited a long long time to be picked up at airport. The SUV we rented had high mileage and wasn’t in that great shape.

Pros: Excellent customer service - everyone we spoke to was polite, very cheerful and spoke very good English. Everything was easy to manage and efficient. The car we had was almost brand new, had plenty of boot space and was easy to drive. Would definitely use Carwiz /again.

Pros: It was drivable.

Cons: Poor car condition. 287k on odometer. Scratches, rust and dents all over the car. Car was drifting off the road and had poor alignment. The representative did not believe me and wad adamant otherwise.

Cons: Car was old, not particularly clean & we waited a long time for shuttles from/to the airport. Didn’t have satnav tho I’m sure it said it should have. Not clear from the info I received that a shuttle to their office was required. It said “pick up outside terminal”

Pros: Very good little 4x4 car that handled very well in the snow.

Cons: The rude front desk agent was very dogmatic and seems to know nothing about customer service. I know that he does this all day everyday but that's what the rest of us do at our jobs and we don't treat people like idiots.

Pros: It was an affordable option with effiecitnt and easy online booking and check-in

Cons: The car rental provider was miles from the airport and it we waited over 50mins for a shuttle to pick us up, which was then overcrowded so the rest of my party had to wait at the airport whilst I picked up the car, which took another 40mins due to the short- staffing of the operation and number of people waiting.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 2500.00), Third Party Liability (TPL), Premium Location fee, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 20.

Maximum rental age is 99 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
The following payment methods are accepted: Cash, Prepaid cards, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard debit card, American Express Debit card.

Visa Electron, Maestro, Cheques is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Wi-Fi.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 4 additional drivers.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
