KEM RENTAL CARS at Paphos Airport

Cons: workers were not at the office when I was dropping off the car, I had to go to the airport by myself and just left car in front of their office

Cons: There was no car, there was no service, the company's phone was not answered. Total no-show!

Cons: Bad Service, had to wait 2h in the sun to drop off the car because noone was in the office. Had to leave the car and the keys at some point to go to the airport.

Pros: flew to Paphos with a small child, waited for the car for one hour, no one called and said that there would be no car! In the end, I called KEM and they told us that there was no car and there was nothing they could do. They said take a taxi and go wherever you want or that there are other offices at the airport. I was shocked! And no one returned the money!!!!

Cons: We didnt like that we were not informed prior to coming to Cyprus that they don't have the car for us and that the fully pre-paid reservation/voucher was cancelled. We are still waiting to receive the refund!!! Please send us our money back

Pros: DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! The car didn't turn up and I was left alone at the airport at 1am in the morning.. no one answered the emergency numbers I was given, after waiting 2 hours I left by taxi which was 50 euros. Later that morning someone eventually answered the phone to say 'we ran out of cars so no point coming to the appointment'!!!!! I had to hire locally... On my return to the UK I have emailed for a refund and have had no correspondence back at all!!! ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS.... 😡

Cons: overall condition of the cars not excellent, but not too bad. be prepared to have a bit worn car. in case you will face technical issues helpline is not that helpful not easy to find office on your way back in the dark. Ppahos location is not right on google maps.

Pros: After got Nissan Note we asked new one but agent said that she don't know anything and if we did not like it she can trop us back to airport. It was midnight. We made calls for two days and we got Nissan Latio from another KEM agency.

Cons: We booked KIA seed and got "similar" Nissan Note. They advert KIA seed models but they don't have any of these. All are old cars.

Cons: Arrived at Paphos airport. the hire car company failed to turn up with shuttle and there had been no communication. We managed to get through by phone and they told us they didn't have a car available and and there is nothing they could do about it. We then had to hire a car from the airport at twice the price. Appalling customer service and left me considerably out of pocket.

Cons: Unfortunately it happened again in the Troodos Mountains and the Paphos office said to phone Limassol.. they took ages getting back to me so I contacted a local mechanic who sorted it, it then happened again on the day of dropping the car off. The car was very cheap to hire so and the lad in the office was very helpful. Hire from here but probably not a budget car

Cons: when we arrived at the airport the representative wasn't there - had to phone him to get him to come. When we got to the car compound we found out that we weren't in their system and there wasn't a car available for us. We hung around from about 1am till 3am before the representative gave us a lift to our accommodation - not much fun for young children. The car was delivered to us the next day. No upgrade, no discount even though we didn't have the car we had paid for for 12 hours.

Cons: We got picked up by KEM agent eventually, to be told that as I did not have a credit card to secure the booking we could not take the car, despite my friend having a valid credit card and I had a debit card with funds available. The pick up office is in the middle of nowhere and the only option they gave us was to take us back to the airport. It was extremely late and dark.

Cons: Two sucked in tattooed children picked up the data, they were naughty bored and smelly. I didn't get any help. I booked a car online KEM did not provide any way to get from the airport to the container called the office. By taxi it was 10 euros. I booked the car from 7 pm, when it turned out that my credit card was not good to cancel, so I lost 46 euros. I would not recommend KEM to anyone under any circumstances !!!!!

Pros: Staff very helpful!! We had a mix up with our rental, the booking had not been inputted on the system. The team did all they could to rectify the problem and provided us with an upgrade free of charge. Even though we experienced this mishap, it would not stop us from using KEM on our next visit.

Cons: Due a mix up with our booking and a system error, there were no representatives waiting for us. We had to call 3 times and had to wait 40 mins at the airport. By the time we were in our car and off on our holiday we had experienced an hour long delay.

Pros: They were quick, efficient and thorough in marking down the cars flaws. Very easy to find to drop the car off and quick to take you to the airport.

Cons: Forgetting to pick up client from the airport due to being with a customer. Car had many scratches and dents which ,as I believe was a 7 year old car ,was probably ok if not paying to hire it. Overall the car was tired.

Cons: The representative was 40 minutes late collecting me and I had to call them twice. Once we arrived at the depot there weren’t enough members of staff to handle the amount of customers waiting. I was meant to be collected at the airport at 11pm. I did not drive away with the car until 1am. Very frustrating as I paid for 19 days, but only had the car for 18 days.

Cons: Collection was a joke, no one in the arrivals part of the airport which meant we had to call them (costing me money for phone call). We were then told 20 minute wait. When we got to the car rental depot, we were told that our booking had been cancelled as our arrival time was supposed to be 12 (which it wasn’t - it was booked and verified on our paperwork for 9pm). They therefore said they are ‘doing us a favour’ by letting us use a quashquai which was not the 7 seater I had booked.

Cons: They didn't pay back my deposit money ( 550Euros) more than one months! I tried to speak them, they told me and promised, I will get it on 18th of JUNE... Now 19th of JULY still I don't get it! Cons: Car provided was bigger than I ordered or wanted and was awkward to park in my small parking space and heavy on petrol. Also central locking system didn't work. On first car offered boot didn't open and second car hadn't been cleaned and central locking didn't work. KEM appeared a bit chaotic and understaffed.

Only quarter of tank of petrol not full as stated had to find a garage at 10.30 pm in a strange country tried to charge for full tank when we too it back, very rusty and scratched, back end different color to front think it has been in an accident and repaired.

Cons: Awful company. We hired 2 children’s seats. They were damaged and didn’t hold the children in properly, I asked for another seat, they replied “ don’t really need a seat for the children”. I did eventually get a different one after a long arguments. Children are 2 and 3. When returning the car, they tried to charge me for dents that were on the car originally, I had the paperwork for, plus tried charging for fuel although car was full. Awful company

Cons: The car had a warning light on from the start. I returned as soon as I saw it (5 mins after leaving) and the rental was deserted. Rang the number and explained and the man said to just ignore it. The car was sluggish and lost power on hills which was not good for Cyprus. It also guzzled fuel and was leaking a fluid from the engine.

Took 40 minutes from the time I dropped the car off to being taken to the airport, where I had left two disabled passengers!
