Elephant Rent A Car at Paphos Airport

Pros: Very simple … felt they were trustworthy

Pros: Representative was waiting for us despite long flight delay. Car was perfectly prepared, clean and undamaged. I liked the fact that when I returned the car, they thanked me for looking after it. Great company

Cons: Can’t find any fault

Cons: No beach access roads allowed; agency charges 20 EIROS to return the car to a parking 2 minutes away from the agency when it is closed. Unfriendly staff

Pros: All was really good until the end

Cons: I still haven’t received my deposit back after 4 days

Pros: Third time hired this year

Cons: Delayed at pick up due to another family faffing about

Cons: Warning regarding Elephant Rent a Car Paphos (Booking D014746075 / TEY 633). Fraudulent supplier extorted €200 for pre-existing underside bumper damage. I have timestamped Pixel 7 Pro pickup photos proving it existed, plus photos of chassis damage. When challenged, owner C. Touloupos physically threatened my son in Greek. Predatory inspection scheme, financial extortion, and criminal intimidation. DiscoverCars must investigate and issue a full refund immediately!

Pros: Used this company many times always great to deal with

Pros: Everyone was nice and friendly and helpful. The office is really close to the airport and picked us up really quickly

Cons: Couldn’t collect our whole group from the airport. Drivers only. So we then had to go back to the airport to pick up the rest of our group which incurred parking charges. Cars were not the best. Given a vehicle with only 1 headlight working & water started leaking into the footwell during the rental period. Dashboard was cracked & door seals hanging off. Security deposit money was actually taken and didn’t sit as pending like normal meaning we had two lots of charges & exchange diffs

Pros: Fantastic customer service. Prompt collection from airport. We had an issue with the car which was resolved quickly and effectively. Check in was very quick. Highly recommend

Pros: Really easy to sort out, the car was perfect for our needs and whilst not a new model was perfectly good. Used Elephant a few times now and Ben we had a problem. As always check the car out but you can send any issues the next morning if you arrive late.

Cons: You have to get a shuttle but that’s fine.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Great service many thanks

Pros: Agent called me a day before pick-up to inform me that I have additional booking that wasn't visible on the DiscoverCars my account.

Cons: Drop-off wasn't smooth. I called couple minutes before that I'm arriving and it suppose to be fine. But when I arrived there was no one inside, so I had to call again and wait for a member of staff to come. Afterwards, it went smooth

Pros: No long paperwork to be done, quick drop off and return

Pros: Speed of collection and pick up from the terminal.

Cons: Waiting after drop for other people to get into the vehicle back to the terminal.

Pros: Very helpful and simple both for pickup and return of the vehicle

Pros: Good car, nice company to deal with, recommend!

Pros: Price

Cons: Everything Else

Cons: There was no-one waiting at the airport as per the agreed plan. We had to wait for 30 minutes after calling to find out what was happening. The person who turned up did so in a small vehicle that couldn't fit everyone so one person had to stay at the airport and wait for her to collect afterwards. They gave us a smaller car than what we had arranged but nothing else. The following day they brought a larger vehicle that was in a poor condition and was 15 years old.

Pros: Very good value, good car and it was very quick to to both pick up and drop off the car

Cons: They charged me damage for a dent that i was not responsible for. I have been hiring cars for 30 years and never encountered this before. Its a scam in my opinion!

Cons: Very efficient

Pros: Elephant rent a car provide me a perfect service. Thanks them a lot!

Pros: Highly recommended

Cons: Fantastic service

Pros: Super friendly staff.

Cons: Nothing. A bit older car, but in great shape.

Pros: The person picking us up from and dropping us at the airport was quite ok.

Cons: The car which was Toyota Passo was in a very bad condition. It was unstable in curves at 35-40 km/h. There is no sign indicating that elephant rental is in their location only from other rental companies. No menu in English in the car. The sound in the car was horrible. All in all a terrible experience

Pros: Excellent service from start to finish would highly recommend

Cons: The staff were very helpful great service all round

Pros: They were helpful

Cons: Waited a long time in the airport to be transferred to their office to collect the car

Pros: The company came an collected me from paphos old town and took me to collect the car

Cons: When I returned the car, I was told I had damaged the car which in face was un true. I have had a driving job since I was 16 years old and am now 54. I am very carful with my cars and buses and had I of damaged the car I would have said so. Would I use Elephant again probably not and wouldn't recommend especially on how i was treated when returning the car.

Pros: Yes

Cons: Sign for drop off, thought gone wrong first.

Pros: Nothing!!!

Cons: When we came to return the car, the guy from the agency looked at us and immediately, without even talking to us, went under the car and found 2 scratches. Only then did he looked around the car for other scratches and damage. The quickness and the way that he noticed in which car we drove makes me wonder if they do this stunt to other customers.

Pros: Smooth and no hard sale for added extras

Pros: slightly bigger than expected

Pros: Used Elephant rent a car numerous times, never had a problem. Our definate go too car rental.

Pros: All was good

Cons: At return a member of staff tried to say damage was done by me, but it was already done and on pics taken by them. That annoyed me.

Cons: Difficult guy on drop off. Felt he was trying make unsubstantiated claim.

Pros: There efficiency

Cons: Notapplicable

Pros: Pick up was easy and quick.

Cons: The agent found a small scuff under the front bumper and treated it as though the car was a write off!! A very arrogant and unpleasant gentleman to deal with and then had to share a min bus with him to the airport when he just totally ignored us. A very sorry ending to what was our best holiday in Cyprus.

Pros: Excellent service from Elephant, met at airport, good car, speedy pick up and drop off. Recommended.

Pros: I always use elephant cars great service

Pros: Friendly staff, no pressure selling of add ons such as extra insurance or sat nav. Quick car drop off and refund of deposit, no wait transfer to airport.

Cons: On arrival.had to call them as I could not locate the person who was picking us up, they definitely were not stood with a sign. I don't like the fact they take a large deposit on a old car, this is unfortunately what a lot of hire company's do these days, but not 900 euro I think 500 is plenty .

Pros: Very friendly staff and very efficient.

Pros: My scores above says it all

Cons: All very good apart from paying a bit more for the fuel where tank was not given full by me

Pros: Friendly staff, ease of everything from pick up to drop off.

Cons: Nothing

Cons: After pick up received a message saying that an error had been made by a new employee who had not charged me the senior driver fee and I had to pay an additional fee of 50 euro at drop off which I did I was under the impression that your quote included the senior driver fee as I had given my age on application This was also confirmed by avideo I received from you after picking up the car I phoned your contact numberwhich your agent did not fully understand saying senior driver fee payable

Pros: Very friendly staff ,,, John ,,Alan and another John

Short drive to the collection point, our car was waiting and bags transferred straight across, paper work was completed before we had a full explanation on where all the controls were. On return staff were very helpful in helping us make pur transfer back to the airport as easy

Pros: Can't praise them highly enough. Speedy, efficient and on our way in double-quick time. Even quicker on the return! Well done.

Pros: See above

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: None all good

Pros: Friendly ex uk army staff

Pros: The courtesy of the staff, they welcomed me on time at the airport, the speed of service...

Pros: Seamless experience - despite arriving early the agent was ready to collect us and take us to the rental place. Car was ready to go and spotless. Returning it we had no issues, we're taken back to the airport and deposit refunded back to my account the next day despite it being a Sunday and only processed at 9pm the night before. Rental place took photos and emailed to us and we took photos and emailed to them.

Pros: Very easy from pick up to drop off. Excellent

Cons: Very friendly staff and great service

Pros: The car might have be a couple of years older than the bigger name companies but it was still perfect.

Cons: I

Pros: Great value, So friendly staff, very efficient service.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Messaged me just before start of rental

Pros: The best car rental experiance I had in Cyprus (we visit island very often). I mistakenly provided wrong drop off time, called the number and despite the fact that my car was already rented to another client i received replacemwnt for another few hours of my stay in Cyprus. On arrival member of staff was already waiting at the airport and drop off was amazingly quick as well.

Pros: Friendly honest reception and car was well prepared and maintained. Bring car back with same amount of fuel.

Pros: Everything went very well. Can't fault them.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very helpful and efficient

Cons: Leaving the car at the airport without speaking to anyone, as it was before their opening hours.

Pros: Team member met us and bring to the office very quickly. She showed everything in the car. That was great, we never had such a service, usually it takes a time to find everything in a new car. All formalities were done very quickly. We were very happy.

Pros: local Staff was very polite and helpfull. Administration was done efficiently.

Cons: General quality of the car was weak. The inspection of quality at start wasn’t possible because of darkness and no effective light on pick up zone. Drop off zone and office was closed. After waiting 20 min and a call we could drop the car at airport parking . Send sms to confirm these. Didn’t got any answers from office site .

Pros: Efficient friendly service

Pros: i have used Elephant many times thro Discover cars but i will never use them again we book 5 to 6 car hires each year in Cyprus

Cons: The car was booked in my wifes name because she is under the age of 75 When we picked the car up i was put on as the main driver & i am over the age of 75 i queeried the extra charge & that is when i was told that it would be waived & there was no extra charge put on the invoice which i paid When we dropped the car off we were told that we would have to pay the additional charge because i had been put down as the main driver they took the money out of the insurance holding deposit

Pros: Everything about this company is absolutely brilliant. The staff are polite and very helpful and the car was spotless...thanku

Pros: Good quality car and overall service

Cons: Depot not manned for the return of car without phone call

Pros: Friendly and competent.

Cons: N/A

Pros: Not a lot

Cons: Very rude and aggressive when collecting vehicle, advised to pay excess in Stirling instead of euros as we would get the full refund on return, £7.97 under paid on refund. Car was an old vehicle with paint chips, scratches and dings, promised photos of vehicle which never arrived, caused me several emails to resolve. Being charged extra because you are over 75 is a rip off. Taking the excess from your account immediately is terrible. Will not be using again

Pros: Everything. The agent was vaiting for us on the airport, the lady on the desk was profesional and helpfull

Cons: nothong

Pros: Goede service en super vriendelijk !

Pros: The car which I have got was at least a class bigger than expected. I have booked Ford Fiesta or equivalent and I have got Kia Sportage. Nice surprise :)

Pros: Very old car but worked fine

Cons: Being charged 50euros for giving the wrong time but the correct flight number

Pros: Easy

Cons: It was supposed to be full to full but it wasn’t.

Pros: Staff was nice and helpful, everything was processed and explained clearly and promptly. As well when dealing with claim, it was explained clearly.

Cons: I ordered smaller type of a car (Nissan note or similar), we got much bigger 7-seater instead which was harder to manipulate within cities. Normally I would appriciate upgrade but this time we were just a couple, not whole family. It would be nice to communicate it ahead at least. Representant wasn't waiting for us at the airport as written in instructions, we had to call and wait for them.

Pros: Pick up all the time. Fast and easy check in and check out .

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Fast pickup and a good clean car, no pressure to buy extra insurance, or upgrading.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Everything

Cons: N/A

Pros: Good price and value.

Cons: Finding rental desk

Pros: Very disappointed with the service after I returned to the UK. The gentleman that felt with me was very nice whilst we was in Paphos - car was checked for damage on return, o took photos and a video of returned car and clearly no damage was on the car. Then the following morning I received several messages stating I’d damaged the car and how was I going to pay??? I immediately rang the car hire and sent evidence of the “no damaged car” to be told he saw the damage when I drove in the car park,

Cons: Rude staff who called me Back the following day and I believe lied about seeing any damage when o drove in the car park, as why would you refund my €900 deposit

Pros: Fantastic service always. Super friendly chap picked us up and dropped us off. Great value and great little car.

Pros: Evry think

Cons: I like it

Pros: Service was excellent, agent standing outside with board waiting and taken to the office only 5 minutes along the road.

Cons: Can't fault anything, everything was smooth.

Pros: They answered rapidly to our car request. My husband forgot his wallet in the car and someone brought it to the airport immediately. So, thank you, I definetly recommend this car rental.

Pros: They deliver my car in few minutes. Everything went very fast. It seems that they really want to help you.

Pros: There are car rental companies out there that look for any excuse to grab the excess deposit. Thankfully this is not one of them. We were picked up at the airport as promised. The car was reliable and well serviced with excellent tyres and brakes. It was very clean inside and out with a full tank of petrol.

Cons: We wish they had stated at pickup (in the dark - so unable to inspect car) that there are minor marks, dents and scratches around the car that are known about and acceptable. They did say that they would email pictures the next day but they were all from a distance and none showed the various touch-ups, scratches, minor dents, paint peel and scratches which was a worry regarding excess deposit, so I spent a lot of time the next morning photographing these in case of dispute.

Pros: Never a problem with Elephant

Cons: Difficult to find rep on arrival

Pros: Minimal waiting time, very efficient staff

Pros: The staff were friendly and efficient.

Cons: There was nothing to not like about Elephant car hire.

Pros: Quick and easy to use

Pros: The first car we received was actually an upgrade from what we booked. Unfortunately, with a few days left in our rental period it developed an issue and while it was still working fine, a check engine light came on. They generously offered to either let us drive the car while taking responsibility themselves over any engine issues that might occur, or to directly change the car to a new one. We took the second option for peace of mind, and they made efforts to match our schedule to deliver it.

Cons: We saw no negatives. They had good services and were pleasant to work with. We even cracked a joke here and there :)

Pros: Picked up and dropped off to the airport. No delays and very professional service.

Cons: Absolutely nothing negative to say about this rental company. Will definitely be using again.

Pros: All round excellent

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Everything and all persons were perfekt for a nice trip to Paphos.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: No complaints except discover cars take a 900euro deposit even though we took full insurance 🤷‍♀️

Pros: Very friendly straight forward and clear

Cons: Actually having deposit taken off card not just held and having to wait for it to come back. Can be costly

Pros: Waited for us at 02:00 a.m.. Serious company

Pros: Excellent price compared with competitors. Very good/efficient pick up on arrival.

Cons: Seemed to be shortage of staff at drop-off so had to wait outside depot for 10 minutes for member of staff to arrive. Then 2 other customers arrived so, since only 1 member of staff available to check returned cars AND shuttle back to airport, we had to wait a further 15 minutes.

Pros: Terrible, I could collect a car and I had to find alternative company.

Cons: The worst car company. I have been regularly travelling to Cyprus for the last 20 years and renting car without any issues until I came across elephant car. I will certainly avoid them. completely unrelaiable.

Pros: Efficient to deal with. Only 5 minutes from the airport. Easy drop off and return trip to airport

Cons: Quite a hefty deposit that is debited to your card. However I understand that if booked direct this is a smaller amount

Pros: The staff was already at the airport waiting for us, a short ride from Airport to their office. After some paperwork filled up we where ready to go. The car was in good condition, we enjoyed our holiday very much. Dropped off the car at the airport as we had very early flight. Deposit returned on next day. Great servis. Would use them again.

Cons: Nothing. All went well.

Pros: Everything was smooth and perfect.

Cons: Wish they had more modern cars but it makes sense that they're older given the fantastic price.

Pros: I don't like them

Cons: Nothing

Pros: photo emails

Cons: car a bit underpowered for hills

Pros: The service was friendly' efficient & cheap

Cons: The restrictions of going to several places in Cyprus like Adonis falls

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Great car rental company,I would definitely recommend them.

Pros: Google

Cons: Very efficient, the car was perfect for our needs. The stuff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommending them to anyone who needs a vehicle in Cyprus

Pros: Pick up good car clean no return problems deposit refunded quickly

Pros: Lovely car, clean, tidy. Great value and good service.

Cons: They were very good.

Pros: Easy from start to finish

Pros: Friendly, honest, apologetic for not having my flight arrival time & details(which was not their fault)

Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Pleasure to meet them. Would recommend to friends and family and will definitely use again.

Pros: Great price.

Cons: No enough information on car pick-up location at the airport.

Pros: Very quick and efficient booking

Pros: Very pleased with all aspects of Elephant, Paphos. Great pick up, drop off, transparency of contract and courteous staff. Strongly recommend.

Pros: Everything was great

Pros: All good

Cons: Cars are from Japan and takes a bit of working out how to use radio as its in Japanese

Pros: Ease of pick up, friendly staff , good vaĺue.

Cons: nothing

Pros: Meet the owner who gave us exceptional customer service. Would highly recommend

Pros: English proficiency and fast pickup from/to the airport. I also liked the fact the car was much older with over 80.000km driven and already had few dents and scratches. Made me more relaxed that i wouldn't be the first one making one.

Cons: On Discovery car website, when booking, was missing an information about GPS tracking of the car and the fact one could not drive it on a dirt roads. It wasn't a problem for us but partially limited where we could drive as there are many dirt roads in Cyprus. Also it must be noted the deposit is actually taken from your account rather that 'locked'.

Pros: Great company

Cons: Definitely use next time in cyprus

Pros: Friendly, no pressure, quick and fair

Cons: All good

Pros: Easy pick up and drop off

Cons: Most rental car companies put a holding deposit on your card. Elephant actually remove it from your account and then re deposit it to your account, which actually cost us over £55 in foreign exchange fees. We tried to contact the company to arrange the deposit to be paid back in another way to reduce the cost to me in having to pay the foreign exchange fee again, so reducing my losses. They ignored my email and so ending up costing me again. THANKS!

Pros: Excellent!

Cons: Description of collection instructions not clear from discover

Pros: Prompt airport pick up

Cons: Deposit for car taken and then refunded hire cars at least 3 times a year in Paphos nobody else takes money just blocks card by taking the money inflating exchange rates meant car actually cost more than the other companies charging more at the beginning

Pros: They gave us the car before schedule, and were very efficient.

Pros: Nice car

Cons: Deposit to hi

Pros: Friendly and efficient staff. Car very clean. Very easy return.

Cons: Not sure where to meet rep at airport. Car ran fine but little niggles like seat belt clip missing and one tyre at legal minimum.

Pros: All great

Cons: Nearly new

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Easy to arrange

Cons: Bit slow to appear for pickup. Assume had left with others

Pros: Good and fast

Cons: non

Pros: efficient and no hassle

Cons: Taking the 900 euros on day 1

Pros: Quality vehicle , above expected standard . Condition as new.

Cons: No one available to greet us at arrivals / did not answer phone. Took around 30 minutes before someone eventually rang back to tell us where to wait as there wasn’t any signage on car park either.

Pros: Easy going and they solved my somewhat stressfull situation

Cons: The specific areas on where not to drive were not super clear to me. So I just stayed on the "main" roads just to be on the safe side.

Pros: Location, customer service , vehicle

Pros: No fuss easy pick up and drop off

Cons: Pity they haven't got a desk in the airport.

Pros: Fast service and nice agents

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Pick up and drop off. However, hard to find as they are outside arrivals hall and not so friendly once you are dropped off at the desk.

Cons: Discovery cars states that you have to leave a €900 deposit when collecting the car, elephant Cars told me if I had booked direct I would only have had to leave a €350 deposit, which didn’t make any sense as they were the ones taking the money and refunded it. They do not put a block on the credit card for the deposit, instead they take the money off your card and refund it when you return the car without any damage. This means you then incur a credit card charge for conversion.

Pros: Very professional, no long queue and quick transfer to and from the Airport. Car in very good condition and the full to full fuel policy. No pressure selling of additional insurance.

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Not at the airport to collect me

Pros: Very pleasant staff, seamless service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good value. Efficient pick up and drop off.

Pros: Overall smoothness of the pick-up/drop-off.

Cons: Some small details only came up at the desk. Like no off roading allowed, not even in an SUV, only 4x4s.

Pros: Very easy to deal with and very friendly no hidden charges which unfortunately others have a tendency to try and add on

Pros: friendly and efficient

Cons: Too much polish on the dashboard, reflected in windscreen making it tricky to drive in bright sunlight

Pros: Lady at the airport was nice.

Cons: Cheap to rent a car but obviously make their money by fining customers. My handover was made in the dark and no-one showed me around the car at all. They then sent images (not time or date stamped so I have no idea when they were actually taken). The return however was a very different story. Mirrors were used to see underneath the car and every single aspect of the car investigated. They will find what they are looking for. Any small scratch = e150 fine (about the same as my 8 day rental).

Pros: Pick up at the airport and taken to hire desk

Cons: None

Pros: Good WhatsApp support/ responsive

Cons: The car rental agent was outside the airport. This wasn't clear to me hence we didn't a while searching inside the airport on arrival. Perhaps this could be made clearer in the instructions or welcome text. Also full to full fuel policy is better than three quarter to the quarter please

Pros: the agent on site was very antipatyque, no smile when picking up the car and dropping off the car, I specify that their agency is located outside the airport, we had to look for 15 minutes for the person responsible for dropping us off at the agency. otherwise the car coresponded to my request.

Pros: Overcharge of holding deposit-should hold €900 not take and you loose on exchange rate- cost me £10 for nothing

Pros: friendly and efficient .

Cons: There were tiny pieces of filling falling out from the seat booster all the time. We had to clean the car every day.

Cons: You should not drive off-road, to so me forest, lake ...

Pros: Staff very polite and helpful

Cons: Arriving at Pahos airport could not find company

Pros: Driver who picked us up from Airport was very friendly

Cons: Service was a little slow when dropping the car off as there was only 1 member of staff working.

Pros: Pick up from airport terminal. Kindness of the personell

Cons: Off-road driving policy. there's a 150€ penalty if you drive in areas they "marked" as off-road, including North Cyprus

Pros: Brilliant staff no problem

Pros: Reasonable price, easy collection and drop off at airport, friendly staff
