Cons: There was no-one waiting at the airport as per the agreed plan. We had to wait for 30 minutes after calling to find out what was happening. The person who turned up did so in a small vehicle that couldn't fit everyone so one person had to stay at the airport and wait for her to collect afterwards. They gave us a smaller car than what we had arranged but nothing else. The following day they brought a larger vehicle that was in a poor condition and was 15 years old.

I am very carful with my cars and buses and had I of damaged the car I would have said so. Would I use Elephant again probably not and wouldn't recommend especially on how i was treated when returning the car.

Pros: Seamless experience - despite arriving early the agent was ready to collect us and take us to the rental place. Car was ready to go and spotless. Returning it we had no issues, we're taken back to the airport and deposit refunded back to my account the next day despite it being a Sunday and only processed at 9pm the night before. Rental place took photos and emailed to us and we took photos and emailed to them.

I mistakenly provided wrong drop off time, called the number and despite the fact that my car was already rented to another client i received replacemwnt for another few hours of my stay in Cyprus. The gentleman that felt with me was very nice whilst we was in Paphos - car was checked for damage on return, o took photos and a video of returned car and clearly no damage was on the car. Then the following morning I received several messages stating I’d damaged the car and how was I going to pay??? I immediately rang the car hire and sent evidence of the “no damaged car” to be told he saw the damage when I drove in the car park,

Pros: There are car rental companies out there that look for any excuse to grab the excess deposit. Thankfully this is not one of them. We were picked up at the airport as promised. The car was reliable and well serviced with excellent tyres and brakes. It was very clean inside and out with a full tank of petrol.

Cons: We wish they had stated at pickup (in the dark - so unable to inspect car) that there are minor marks, dents and scratches around the car that are known about and acceptable. They did say that they would email pictures the next day but they were all from a distance and none showed the various touch-ups, scratches, minor dents, paint peel and scratches which was a worry regarding excess deposit, so I spent a lot of time the next morning photographing these in case of dispute.

Unfortunately, with a few days left in our rental period it developed an issue and while it was still working fine, a check engine light came on. They generously offered to either let us drive the car while taking responsibility themselves over any engine issues that might occur, or to directly change the car to a new one. We took the second option for peace of mind, and they made efforts to match our schedule to deliver it.

It wasn't a problem for us but partially limited where we could drive as there are many dirt roads in Cyprus. Elephant actually remove it from your account and then re deposit it to your account, which actually cost us over £55 in foreign exchange fees. We tried to contact the company to arrange the deposit to be paid back in another way to reduce the cost to me in having to pay the foreign exchange fee again, so reducing my losses. They ignored my email and so ending up costing me again. THANKS!

Cons: Discovery cars states that you have to leave a €900 deposit when collecting the car, elephant Cars told me if I had booked direct I would only have had to leave a €350 deposit, which didn’t make any sense as they were the ones taking the money and refunded it. They do not put a block on the credit card for the deposit, instead they take the money off your card and refund it when you return the car without any damage. This means you then incur a credit card charge for conversion.

Any small scratch = e150 fine (about the same as my 8 day rental).

Cons: Off-road driving policy. there's a 150€ penalty if you drive in areas they "marked" as off-road, including North Cyprus

Pros: Quelle efficacité ! De tous mes voyages je n’ai jamais passé aussi peu de temps entre le moment où je récupère mes bagages et le moment où je suis au volant de la voiture ! Et au retour, cela a été encore plus rapide. Vraiment incroyable !!!

Cons: Seuls petites choses à revoir : l’ordinateur de bord était en… japonais !!! Et pas un mot sur la possibilité de se rendre dans la partie turque de l’île en voiture.

Pros: It was great, and everything went expectedly.

Cons: First of all,when we dropped off the car,they have tried to blame us of driving the car off road and more specifically at Akamas. This never happened as we actually went to Famagusta and never been to Akamas! The agent was rude and was convinced that we went to Akamas so we asked that he shows us the GPS route. It turns out it wasn't us who went to Akamas but someone having the car before us. They tried to blame us for scratches below the car which we haven't done to the car and we had proof.

Pros: Super Agent wait for us at 2 am o clock at the airport.

Pros: Lack of fuss at drop off. Deposit went back on my card without any hassle

Cons: Information on GPS tracking and the use of dirt roads should be visible at the time the contract is signed.
