Cons: Very pushy and forced sale agent. The vehicle we purchased was supposed to be with automatic transmission and we got semi automatic vehicle. The vehicle was very old and barely was able to move. We paid a lot for a horrible experience including very long wait ln pick up and the worst agent and car we ever got.

Cons: The car had quite obviously been smoked in by the previous rental. It should have been taken out of service and valeted before it was used again with the previous rental charged for this. The light on the driver console fell out every time the car went over a bump. The service light came on mid way through the rental period.

Pros: Very helpful staff, prompt and polite.

Cons: The car's condition. It had the check-engine light on at all times and the engine trembled when in first gear and low rpm.

My impression is that Discovercars.com is a subsidiary of Sixt cars. If you want a newer car and happy to pay for it...go with Sixt (same people/same parking lot). If you're OK with a 50k mileage, older car then go with Discovercars.com.

Also, the car had a sort of android tablet integrated as a screen, which barely work. Also the rear camera was manually and poorly installed. Not really a good deal for the price we paid.

It was 1am and I had my family and young children in tow so didn't have the energy to argue with the Sixt agent at Larnaca airport but will add this is the second time they have pulled the bait and switch scam with me. It seems whatever group car you book they give you the smallest oldest and dirtiest car they have. I booked a Corsa and got a Kia picanto.

Cons: Flew to Cyprus excited for an excellent week ahead. Go to pick up the car and realised I’d left my driving license at home (my own silly fault) the agent (a British man with dark hair didn’t catch his name) was the most unhelpful human being I have ever encountered in my life. He put my details into the system and could see id paid in advance for the car and my licence was on the voucher that I provided him. He just looked at me blankly and said not a lot i can do and shooed me away. Just awful.

We did not receive a car for our trip.

Rental desk rep was super arogant, insisted it's the same class as Golf, offered no alternatives, only upgrade to Passat at a double of price I paid booking. Cons: It was difficult to find the desk in the airport. Its a small label inside the Sixt stand... and its located behind a wall from who comes in from the arrivals. It was necessary to walk back to find the label identifying "Get Your Car". If I knew that this would be a brand of Sixt, I would have picked up another rental car company.

Cons: The sign was very small and we had a bit of a difficulty in finding the agent. Also the car advertised and booked was supposed to be an SUV but in reality it was a small car and there was not enough space for the luggage so we had to upgrade it to a saloon car.

Cons: We were supposed to have a free additional driver but at check in we were told we would have to pay. We showed agent their terms and conditions ( which were confusing as they said free in one place and subject to a fee in another). They agreed to give FOC but said it was a mistake and they would get t & c's changed. A lot of unnecessary negotiation especially as we had clarified this with Discover cars at time of booking

Pros: Lovely car, very clean, easy to connect Bluetooth, good audio and drive.

Cons: The GetYourCar sign was very small - I was unaware that it was associated with Sixt so it was easy to disregard that kiosk even though I was supposed to go there. The desk agent was unbelievably rude. When I asked where I should go she gestured to the Getyourcar sign in disbelief. At times I didn't write understand what she was saying and she shouted "I just told you that" when I was querying a payment. I was calm and polite the entire time and was really shocked at the poor customer service.

Pros: Correct car machines and easy to use.

Cons: They must be fueled with 98 gasoline.

Cons: Car body work was dented. Odometer worked intermittently. Noise coming from front of car near front right hand side of car.

Pros: the agent was very pleasent (even though she realy tried to make us pay for an upgrade..)

Cons: we ordered the smallest and cheapest car (i think they didnt have it) so the agent realy tried to make us pay for an upgrade..and after we paid for the gps she gave us the upgrade for "free"

Pros: The car was fine and the pick-up location convenient.

Cons: Although the car I booked (Nissan Micra) was available, they said I had to pay 10 euros per day extra to get it, so I had to take a Citroen C1 instead. Also I paid for full insurance when I booked online but I was forced to take out insurance again (at 16 euros per day) when picking up the car.

Cons: One thing, it was not clear which company to address, there was no welcome desk, you had to shop around and ask, who is the car rental company

Cons: We are "forced" to take up further insurance by the local agent. Next time, we will not book through "Get Your Car" and will go direct to the respective local car agent, and they are the ultimate car and insurance provider. Too much trouble to claim through 3rd party, if there is any accident. Valuable lesson learnt!
