Pros: The car didn't break down.

Cons: The biggest problem is that I didn't get the car I chose. It was said that it was a Hyundai i10 or something similar, but I don't think the Suzuki Alto is the same size, even if the agent lady thinks that both belong to the mini category. If the Hyundai i10 is 3665x1660mm, and the Suzuki Alto is 3395!x1475!mm (kei car), the latter is more of a micro car. 700km with this car on bad roads and lots of speed bumps was very tough.

Pros: The lady who picked us up was so friendly and took time to explain everything to us. I had asked for a manual car but she told me they didn’t have any and instead showed me precisely how to drive it (I had never driven an automatic before and never driven in Cyprus before!) She was polite and professional but with a personal touch. The man who brought us back was also very lovely.

Cons: Did not realise the pick ip location wasn’t the airport. I probably missed that in the small print!! Had to wait 20 minutes to be collected to get taken to where the office was. Sat outside waiting in the heat. Got to office to be told AMEX was not allowed for deposit and had to pay €10 per day for insurance. Water needed topping up in radiator, passenger window worked intermittently, all voice controls in Japanese. Then charges €25 to bring car back before 8am! NEVER AGAIN!

Rate excludes
The following surcharges may apply: Administrative fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 70.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 3 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): EU countries.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy

Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Winter tires are not mandatory in Cyprus.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 59 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
