AutoRent Cyprus at Larnaca Airport

Pros: Polite and explained the way the any insurance claim worked if needed- which somewhat surprised me.

Cons: Not offered the car expected. Booked a Kia Ceed (or similar) Given a smaller Kia Rio!! Chaotic when car was returned, a long wait for the transfer bus almost caused a missed flight. However fully understood that the problem was caused by the traffic hold up near the airport.

Car battery twice flat need bump start, coolant level to low giving red triangle dashboard light, light bulbs issues giving orange triangle light when switching lights on at evening and night travel, the wors was tyres quality totally worn need a bin ASAP an low tyre pressure.

Tried to force us into having extra car insurance and when I refused became really agressive and gave us the worst car in the lot and refused to give us the free additional driver as promised in the deal. The car drove awfully - the car stuttered as we went downhill, the brakes were loud and smelly and the steering wheel was all over the place. Car had 30km of petrol when told it was 1/3 full.

Cons: The address on the documentation, for the location of autorent but slightly incorrect. However, after calling them, they immediately sent out the correct address.

Pros: Jim was lovely start to finish when dealing with us, explained everything and all terms and conditions & was very helpful. No issues with the car at all and easy to contact when we needed help.

When reported to them they said they didn’t have another vehicle to replace it with. Hence we had to put up with the inconvenience for our 20 day rental period The car was 9 years old, expected something newer

We didn't get charged so I guess it wasn't a problem in the end but other companies have not been so easy. Thank you

Hired vehicle with enough space for 2 cases in boot & paid extra . only fit one resulted in a multiple problems for us on our holiday. Car covered in dints, side mirror did not open fully, dirty interior, hub caps held on my cable tie, lost one on the highway luckily nobody behind us at the time, car would not lock, fan belt screeching. Pros: The car was quite old- oldest car ever rented on holidays however that didnt bother me, but it was not technically maintained- glove boxes kept opening and making bang while baby asleep, the boot start lock itself and coudnt open for long, disturbing ratling noise from air-con fan.

Expecting you to bring back the vehicle with the same amount of fuel that was in the tank when you collected it.

AutoRent was waiting for us at the Airport timely, and the employee Nick offered a great level of needed information and usage instructions. His kindness, pleasant personality, and high level of professionalism are very much appreciated and we are very grateful for that.

Cons: Drop off the car was absolutely atrocious! Staff present rude, ignorant and disrespectful. There was 3 other cars and I understand that he may have been busy but does not give anyone right to be rude. Very unpleasant experience

Cons: When I arrived to collect the car I expect a car newer than 2016 with 113km on the clocked. When ordered the car I asked for a Manuel car but was given an automatic, also on the paper work your fuel policy was full to full but when I collected the car it was only half full. Also the air conditioning wasn’t working correctly which would have been beneficial in the Cypriot weather.

Pros: Very good service! We had a small car which was perfect for getting around the island. The staff was very accommodating and helpful.

Cons: Guy who rented us the car had very little knowledge and all of our details were incorrect. Was painful. On the way back they tried to sting us for a scratch on the front of the car but luckily we had taken videos of the damage when we picked the car up.

Pros: Was relatively quick, considering the was only 1 person doing the pick up from airport and all the necessary paperwork needed for the handover of the car, but it was 2:30 in the morning so it's understandable especially with very few flights arriving on the night I picked up the car

Cons: Collecting the car took a long time. The member of staff was new and took over 40min, not great when we had had a late flight.

Pros: When I landed, they texted me where to go and meet their shuttle to the office. They took care of me and got me out and on the road pretty quickly.

Cons: When I returned the vehicle, there were two agents both working with customers and each took more than 30 minutes and didn’t acknowledge others including myself waiting, or even try and help us. I had a flight to catch as I’m sure others did too. The mid efficiency level upon returning the car wasn’t very good.
