Cons: The car they wanted us to take had no cover for the luggage area(we were planning to go around with suitcases). The car had no spare wheel but had tools to replace it-strange and not helpful. We asked to downsize or upsize just to get a car in satisfying condition but they say they don't have(the parking area was full of cars. Finally we canceled the deal and didn't take the car

Cons: It wasn't easy to find the shuttle to the pickup depot. There we no signs, and I had no way of contacting them. Only by chance, a security officer called someone he knows there. We had to wait 20 mins in the middle of the night. All the car interfaces were in Japanese, including safety-related messages. Price is too high for this type of vehicle.

They expected you to call them when you arrive but it was not written as a requirement so I did not know. Returning the car took 45 minutes since there was only one representative working with plenty of people either renting or returning. The car key battery was low and we sometimes had problems starting the car.

Friendly and helpful through the whole process, always there to give you a hand when you need it and make your stay and trip easy.

Cons: The car needs proper maintenance. On Sunday it didn’t start. The usual outsource repair man only works part time on Sunday. The call center, according to what he said, reached out to his boss to get a solution. 2 hours later, no call, nothing happened. One of the windows cannot be closed as well. We fixed both issues with the help of one of our neighbours.

They didn’t charge for the petrol used in the first car. The second car was the same make and model but was fine.

The pickup vehicle is not marked in any way and the pickup spot is not the same as other rental companies and also not marked. When asking why the agency didn’t show up to get us on the agreed time, the response was simply that they were busy with other customers.

The car also did not have a mobile friendly stereo, meaning that without an aux cable and adapter to plug into current smartphones which do not have aux ports there was no way to play music from a mobile phone through the vehicle speakers. There was also no screen for navigation. These are nice to have but relatively standard from any rental place even for the cheapest options.

The original rep was there and said it was ok, she wasn't happy about this, then she said I owed €37 Euros left to pay, I got my paperwork out and said I don't think so, the original rep said she was looking at another invoice, and I owed nothing, I feel she was out to make a few euros out of me,

I will uoad my concerns to both facebook sites for visiting cyprus and ex forces cyprus/uk as they need to be made aware of this practice.

Pros: Not the first time we rent a car from Auto-rent Cyprus, and we are always happy to do so. Great value for money, always available with 24/7 office agents to assist you with any problem arising regarding your rental, and always able to find a solution when things go wrong (last time the platform cancelled our booking without letting us or Auto-rent know, and they were happy to assist and provide us with a great value for money last-minute booking). Definitely recommend!

Cons: The pick up instructions / speed. There was no agent / information board present in the airport. We waited 15 minutes after the allocated pick up time, we then received a whatsapp message. We then contacted Auto Rent and had to wait to be collected. The process took about 40 minutes.

Cons: Our experience with this car rental service was disappointing, starting with the airport shuttle. Unlike other providers, there was no sign or designated spot for pick-up, leaving us confused about where to wait. We had to call multiple times and ended up waiting nearly an hour for the shuttle. When the driver finally arrived, she was extremely rude. Later, we were told that the car we had booked was not available. The agent didn't offer any alternatives or options—he simply assigned something!

No customer service at all .No help to put bags in car, no communication at all - said hello just looked at us and straight open boot door and close and then back to his driving seat. Pick up direction not clear online - you will need to wait around the Costa. The car rented was absolutely a banger (damage to cosmetics, no phone holder, charger. Old portable ster but you get what you paid for.

The helpful staff and efficient service made my rental experience pleasant and hassle-free.

Cons: Not offered the car expected. Booked a Kia Ceed (or similar) Given a smaller Kia Rio!! Chaotic when car was returned, a long wait for the transfer bus almost caused a missed flight. However fully understood that the problem was caused by the traffic hold up near the airport.

Car battery twice flat need bump start, coolant level to low giving red triangle dashboard light, light bulbs issues giving orange triangle light when switching lights on at evening and night travel, the wors was tyres quality totally worn need a bin ASAP an low tyre pressure.

Cons: The agent at pickup treated us awfully. Saw us as three young girls who he could take advantage of. Tried to force us into having extra car insurance and when I refused became really agressive and gave us the worst car in the lot and refused to give us the free additional driver as promised in the deal. The car drove awfully - the car stuttered as we went downhill, the brakes were loud and smelly and the steering wheel was all over the place. Car had 30km of petrol when told it was 1/3 full.

Cons: The address on the documentation, for the location of autorent but slightly incorrect. However, after calling them, they immediately sent out the correct address.

Pros: Jim was lovely start to finish when dealing with us, explained everything and all terms and conditions & was very helpful. No issues with the car at all and easy to contact when we needed help.

Pros: Used app to do most if the rental paperwork in advance, making pickup very easy.

Cons: Wasn’t shown round the car by staff on collection. Was left to look for scratches etc ourselves. When we arrived at our destination we found the drivers door wouldn’t lock or unlock with the fob. It had to be locked and unlocked from the inside by reaching over from the passenger seat. When reported to them they said they didn’t have another vehicle to replace it with. Hence we had to put up with the inconvenience for our 20 day rental period The car was 9 years old, expected something newer

Cons: Time to be collected from airport. The car was slightly damaged which we couldn't see in the dark and didn't show up on our photos. In the morning when we notice we sent a text. We didn't get charged so I guess it wasn't a problem in the end but other companies have not been so easy. Thank you
