Pros: Quick to collect and return. The car was fine. Many other reviews state the charges about cleaning the car, which is not standard for car rental companies, but they do advise you on collection.

It is difficult to find somewhere to clean the car in a new city/country. They charged me for fuel, when the fuel upon collection was only at a quarter of a tank. I have waited over 1 month for refund to be processed and still not received.

Cons: On arrival, our booking didn't show on their system. This was eventually put down to the fact that we were just over an hour late picking up (after flight delay). Even though we had paid in full in advance (for a 10 day hire), we were told the car was no longer available and that the only option was to book a different car costing twice the price. There wasn't a cheaper option at this point, so we had to go with it - feel like £150 was basically stolen from us.

Cons: Lot of issues with customer service right from the beginning. 1) Our credit card wasn't accepted because numbers on it weren't embossed (new issued cards don't have embossed numbers!) which resulted in the increase of the car rental price by 5x!!! 2) our debit card then was charged twice this higher new price. No customer service whatsoever! For two weeks we tried to call and sent multiple emails... No answer or aknowledgment. Had to visit their office in person to get this resolved.

Second, we were charged a very high cleaning fee for some very minor imperfections and the car was not very clean when we picked it up. The pictures provided were black and white and not clear. One picture was of a little water on the floor mat. The other was some spilt drink on the seat very quick to clean as part normal process

Not the most friendly customer service, the advertised phone numbers are notoriously not answered. We were charged almost twice the daily rate we were paying for keeping the car a few more hours, despite attempts to notify or speak with the company.

Cons: So, my flight was late. I was at the rental desk 1.30h after the time I booked the car. I was told that my booking was cancelled because I was more than 59 minutes late. Another car was provided, which was obviously more expensive. Was also charged for the 2nd driver. The chaild seat for 2 year old was old, ripped all over and dirty. No installation instructions or help from the agent to install. Had to wait 30 mims for the seat and took me another 30 mins to figure out how to install.

But if had entered my flight number you would have kept the car for 3 hours? This does not make sense. I paid Discover Cars.com £72 for a VW Golf which I wasn’t aloud to receive, but was then charged almost £300 for a similar car from Flex to Go! All because I didn’t enter my flight number, this is daylight robbery in my opinion.

Cons: Despite purchasing insurance via discoverycars website, agent tried to 'sell' the different options of coverage during the pick up which were very costly. There is a requirement to return cleaned car (inside and outside)- needed to go to car wash just before entering the airport as it was raining on the way and car got a bit dirty. This is not very convenient. Not sure if customers are charged if car is not sufficiently cleaned on the outside.

Did have the car that I booked weeks in advance. Didn’t very care about the customer service really. The only good thing was that they were able to give an other after I came back and complaining about the fact that didn’t give the right car in the first place.
