Pros: Pick-up and drop-off were quick and easy. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional throughout. The car was clean, well-maintained, and drove beautifully . Overall, I was very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend this service to others.

Cons: They charged me 80 euros to cross the border, when I know for a fact others charge 10 or 20. Also, why even charge extra?!?! And they wanted to charge me for cleaning the car, when a dragonfly got stuck in the front of the car. Cleaning should be included in the price. I would understand if I brought the car back and it was stained with ice cream and had crisps all over, but this was petty and the car was clean!

I said well I don't plan on leaving garbage in the car. That was the end of that conversation. I was charged 12 euros for " dirt on wheels". No ...

Pros: The car offered a good driving experience but it wasn’t the car I originally chose though it was in the same class

Cons: We did a mistake due to not having a credit card ( we thought a debit card would be a good alternative ) for which we rightly paid very dearly. This said the agent at the Avia desk was utterly unhelpful as he took advantage of our helpless situation to convince that the full coverage insurance we paid online to discovercars.com was completely worthless as it was not recognized by them had we had an accident. Never again neither discovercars.com nor Avia .

At same time they were pressuring another family to pay a cleaning fee which they also refeused as car was clean. Mostly I would not use AVIA again as they charged us euro120 for 2 extra days and would not consider this was actually day 15/16 of our rental. This day rate was way over our previous day rate

Pros: They make a point of doing everything electronically (vs. being more paper-based) - this allowed for a faster pick-up and more importantly a faster drop-off / return process when it came to inspecting the car.

Cons: They charged extra for car washing - in that I needed to return the car washed or pay EUR 9 for them to wash it - I have never experienced this before when renting a car and felt like it was an extra fleece charge. I also needed to pay an extra charge to be able to take the car on a ferry to one of the local islands - again I feel like this is an excuse to charge more money. Neither of these charges were disclosed when I booked the car online and I only discovered this when picking up the car.

Cons: As per booking code DC-4437050 I booked SUV Volkswagen T-Cross or similar on January 12, 2023. For total amount of $1660.15 or 1.125 euros. When I came to pick up my vehicle, they at Zagreb airport prepared for me KIA XCeed which is Sedan, not SUV. They didn’t have any SUV to offer me, so I had to take AUDI Q2, because of limited time (17:30),I needed to reach Vinkovci (300 km) before night time. They charged me with extra 480 euros, 400 euros for upgrade and 80 euros for GPS which I didn’t get.

Make sure you book in the name of the person who will be driving

I normally drive on the other side of the road but this little beauty handled the variable conditions in Croatia extrmely well. The drop off was simple and friendly. Also, they charge €35 service charge to refill gas tank on top of the gas itself. On the end, I paid additional €115 for services that 99% of other car rentals do not charge. Enough to never book again with them and stick to other companies.

Pros: Great customer service, particularly as they had to stay later than their regular hours for me to pick up the car. The car itself was bigger and better than the one I had booked which was much appreciated with three small kids and a lot of bags. Dropping the car off was also extremely efficient. Took about 5 minutes total from parking to getting on with my day.

Cons: The barrier to exit the rental car park didn't open automatically. That was about my only complaint.

Cons: 1) I was charged 35 euros for winter tires which was never in the original contract with discover cars. I would really like to get that refunded. 2) the driver side collision sensor was malfunctioning. Even if the car ahead was more than 10 meters ahead, it would make a continual shrill noise saying there could be a collision, which was a big nuisance during the entire rental. 2) the second issue with the car was the sudden cutting out of the engine when in stationery mode when waiting.

Cons: They have charged me 490 Euros for a small dent on the door, that I ignored when the picked up the vehicle as it seemed trivial to mention, along with other small and barely visible damage, like I always do with other rental providers. I never had any issues, but Avia insisted they will charge me for it.

Cons: Didn’t honour the price shown on the website! Charged about 30% more at the pick up!

Pros: It's easy to find the Avia counter in the terminal, we waited a bit for the representative. Once it arrived, everything went quickly. We extended insurance through Avia. We received a car that we ordered, in excellent condition, clean. Our trip was to Slovenia and we informed the rental company about this in advance and we were required to pay a fee of 80 €.Back at the airport, we got confused with the signage for the car return location, but the representative was patient and waited for us.

Pros: Not good. There was nobody at the kiosk when we were picking up the car. Also nobody there when we were returning it. It would have been nice if they at least had a note on the door indicating when they would be back and where they were.

Cons: When we went to pick up the car there was nobody there and the doors were locked. After about 15 minutes and not knowing what to do 2 guys showed up. They showed us nothing about the car and left in a hurry. Car was scratched up and had dents all over.

Cons: When picking up the car from Zagreb the contract agreement was all in euro currency. However When we got there they charged kuna currency only. Which we were not prepared for and got hit with a big international fee. This was confusing as he quoted our insurance in euros prior to us paying. So we were getting quoted in one currency and charged in another.

Cons: I didn’t not like that my Mastercard was not accepted and that I had to pay 750 euros at the time of pickup as a deposit as they didn’t not accept my Mastercard and this money was not refunded on return of vehicle which was returned in perfect condition.

Pros: Fuel efficient, small size was good for driving on narrow roads but plenty of room for our luggage. Drop off was very easy at the airport.

Cons: car engine was "dead" (engine had no more restart) so impossible to drive in high Mountain area and very difficult to drive on steep slope street. Incredible huge amount (900 euro) take as deposit despite having take Discovery car full insurance (this deposit 'blocked half of my Credit on my Visa card) Lot of scratches on the car (far more than the one listed on the 'state of the car document' - so pick up check is taking time. GPS was not the one promised.

Cons: The hidden charges, we were charged 200 EUR as border crossing fee while other rental companies were charging only 75. We were charged 50 EUR for a fuel deficiency of 7 liters while returning the car.
