Autounion at Zagreb Airport

Pros: The pick-up went pretty smoothly.

Cons: The car by Autounion got caught on fire. We weren't compensated for all the loss of time, effort, and not to mention the days that we weren't able to use the rental car for (The accident had occurred on the first week while we had paid for three weeks.)

Pros: Paula was very good on email correspondence during the hire time when I had questions. Although a little late to the arranged drop off time the drop off personnel was professional and understanding.

Cons: At pick up we were told there would be a person with our name on a card at arrivals. We couldn’t find the office and asked another company where they were. They said we had to call them. If this was stated on the form then it would not have been a problem but stating there was someone to meet us put things off to a bad start. Understandably the pick up agent was at the end of his long shift but it was clear he just wanted us to hurry up and bugger if either car, pushing through the transaction…

Cons: In the contract with you it's one thing, with them it's another because they don't recognize your insurance, so I paid four times more for everything, including their insurance. I feel cheated.

Cons: They were late They weren’t at the office when we did return the car we waited almost 1 hour and no one showed and we did almost miss our flight

Pros: Great guys! They keep their promises and always so considerable towards everything. Very quick on tje pick up. Much quicker then collecting car at the airport

Cons: Used rental service for family trip. Requested SUV for luggage, baby gear, but got Opel Mokka instead of Crossland—too small. Promised airport pick-up but redirected to off-site location late at night, leaving family stranded. Poor lighting made car inspection impossible; had to sign paperwork blindly. Pickup location incurred extra charges. Car not clean despite having baby onboard. Disappointing experience overall.

Cons: No pick up at arrivals, needed to call them to pick me up, needed to wait for other groups to travel with me in a van to the rental car, got a dirty car, dashboard light for maintenance was on, did not receive a full tank and needed to fill it exactly to the right stripe, gas station miles away, wanted to charge me EUR 40 to get 5 liters of gas via the system or EUR 20 if I handed over the money in cash. gas costs EUR 1,40 everywhere in Croatia, so I did this myself as it felt like a rip off.

Cons: The extra fees for early pick up and return

Pros: We thought the staff were friendly and efficient. Also, when we had some minor issues during the trip, they were easy to reach via email and text.

Cons: When we followed the GPS address on the business card, it took us to the airport. Oneshould be given the actual GPS address for the car rental company drop off to make it quicker. Also, several times the tire deflation warning came on and we had to re-inflate the tires. I expect this has been addressed. Finally someone must have scraped the car when we were parked, very minor, we had not noticed it. But we still had to do a full damage report.

Cons: The car we rented had no proper service and we lost lots of time in the first 4 days of our holiday in Croatia. The battery went dead on the first day. After the first pit stop the screen started to showing an alert because the car was overdue for an oil change. The hill assist didn't work. Tire pressure was between 2.1 and 2.2 instead of 2.5 bar. We could get a replacement car of our class only on the 4th day of our journey. It was a really disaster. Never ever Autounion!!!

Cons: Not necessarily an issue just with Autounion but be aware that there is an extra cost if you want to drive the car to any of the islands by ferry.

Cons: Car was dirty, smelled on cigarette smoke and weed, half of front lower fascia missing causing road noise. Car was also very scratched and lots of minor damages not documented in the initial documentation. I requested a replacement car due to excessive smoke/weed odour and dangling front fascia. Replacement car was in good driving condition but very dirty, with lot of scratches and unrecorded minor damages.

Cons: Change the services staff. The two Christian and the girls are rude and need to learn customer services

Pros: The employees were very kind. I had problems with the flight, a lot of delays, but the Autounion employees were extremely accommodating and helpful.

Pros: the people were kind and explained every thing very well. The car was exactly the one we have choosen when we have booked. No bad surprise.

Cons: I will never get back the 10 days (and counting) of conflicting direction, verbal assault, and misplaced customer blame that they put me through.

Pros: There’s supposed to be waiting me At the airport nobody show up ,they got me the wrong car i paid for automatic and they want me to take a manual car then they didn’t have a car at the time they said that the car had accident day before nobody contact me nobody email me I would never recommend this company ,The agent was really rude when I told him that I didn’t want the manual car and i told him that i have paper what i pay for thes don’t care They charge me more money

Pros: Good value for money. Straightforward booking experience.

Cons: The car wasn't the brand expected but more importantly it was really badly maintained, although with only a little over 30,000 km. The engine was loose, making strange noise. The fuel tank was only 2/8 which complicates returning the car with the tank filled at the same level. In the contract it was mentioned that the tank will be full. The outside of the car was very dusty, with a big bird poop on the windscreen. The inside not vacuumed. Hence, the car wasn't clean. I could write much more...

Pros: They did not have the car I asked for, so they gave me an upgraded car at no extra cost.

Cons: The car had 1/8 of a tank of gas when it was given to me. It also told me to change the engine oil every time I turned the car on-- 0% oil life.

Pros: Very personal, easygoing and efficient. Made sure to check half way during the rental.period to see if everything was alright. There was a small issue with the car, stipe offered a free upgrade to accommodate so service was great

Cons: Car was not clean but in the company's defence my reservation was very last notice and on a Sunday which left them with no time to clean the car properly.
