Cons: The service we received from Active was shocking Charged an extra 30 euro at time of booking for an out of hours service but when we arrived at the desk no one was there. Person before us had been waiting 2 hours for the representative to arrive. No answer on phone and only way we finally managed to speak to someone was by calling the accident line. Representative finally arrived after over an hour with no apology when finally got car completely empty and looking for petrol station at 4am!!!

Cons: 1. I find that 800€ euros insurance money is too accessive and that it should be reimbursed soon after car is returned. 2. Car should have been more up to date and more reliable. It was me and my daughter and we were lucky it didn't stop during the night or in a less frequented road. Being tourists it was upsetting that we had to cancel plans.

Pros: The car was OK.

Cons: I left the keys there as agreed with the agent, but I don't if they have found them.. If the offices are open (8-20) atleast one person should be there at 16.30. Also we already paid an extra fee to pick up the car at 23 and we had to pay another extra fee because the flight was delayed. I didn't like that, it was not my fault if the flight was late. They give me back the money in maximum one month and I think it's too much time for a 3days rent.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 800.00), Theft Protection, Winter tires, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 22.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

For vehicles in groups Economy, Mini a driver license issued at least 2 years ago is required.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains, Wi-Fi.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 90 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 12 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
