Avia Rent A Car at Split Airport

Pros: Pick up at the airport

Cons: Penalty although I returned clean car. They wanted the car in the same condition as when picked up (it was still wet from car wash). The only way to do that is to use the car wash at the airport when returning the car. They should've told me that. Its summer and drought and the roads are dusty. I wont be using this company in the future. Matter of principle and fairness.

Pros: And they swapped the cars. The issue was on returning, we only drove the car once and had no incidents. The agent on return was feeling under the front bumper and trying to charge me for a scratch! I was a little shocked. Poor and over the top in my opinion, just trying to make money on top of the already over priced rental.

Cons: As above, agents not being honest about the pick up delay and trying to charge damage on return

Pros: Efficient.

Cons: Tried to charge for car wash on return even though inside was immaculate. Not realistic to expect outside to be clean after a tourist holiday with no way to clean. Car had multiple points of damage which were hard to verify on pick up. Tried to charge for a tiny dent on the fender at return which was not us. Stressful experience, would not use Avia again.

Pros: Everything was good except car locations. It was little difficult to find especially dragging heavy bags around the corner in the dirt road.

Cons: Service was very professional .

Pros: Same as any other

Cons: Insurance ( unhelpful)

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Service & car provided

Pros: Overall, the customer service representative at the counter was friendly, but it felt as though they were simply following the company’s procedures.

Cons: At Avia, they tried to sell us every possible additional service: insurance, a refueling service, and even a car wash. The car wash requirement came as a complete surprise, as their website only states that the vehicle must be returned in clean condition. We were charged €12 for the car wash, which essentially means that the customer is paying for the car to be cleaned for the next customer. I have never encountered such a car wash policy before. Avia also refused to accept my Bank Norwegian

Cons: There were so many hidden fee’s. Particularly a cleaning fee that was sprung because we did not detail the car prior to returning it.

Pros: Option to return the car with an empty tank (and charging for full tank less than at a gas station)

Cons: Excessive fees for car damage (yet car was full of dents and scratches so it's unclear how they use the money they charge from the clients), salt stains on the seats (never heard this before) - yet they charge for cleaning the car.

Pros: It was horrible, from start to finish. The girl at counter said new car but it had a huge dent on passenger side from a car wreck. We got penalized for not cleaning properly which was hilarius because of all the scratches on it

Cons: Asking about where to drop it off was so confusing

Pros: Not a lot!

Cons: Hidden car cleaning charges for a car rental???? Concept of Mastercard from a non high street bank is less secure than from a high street bank????

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Nothing. Rude staff.

Pros: Very bad device and rude workers, also hodden costs and lots of tries to sell you insurance which are not really working

Cons: Serve was horrible, especially the women working in airport station in Split for AVIA

Pros: Quick service good price

Cons: Stuff wasn’t friendly

Pros: Charges that are not reasonably expected. Inside cleaning if messy is understandable. Outside, small, few minor bug spots is a Con. It's like a hotel will charge a cleaning fee after a hair is found in the shower.

Pros: They arre justt out too scam you for as muchh money as possible

Cons: As above

Pros: Good drop off process

Cons: Overcharged me massively for insurance I did not need

Pros: The car was as specified

Cons: The additional 248 Euros I had to pay as mentioned earlier. A complete con.

Pros: Nice comfortable car

Cons: not keeping with the requested service terms (drop off location, cutting down on time) charging for washing the car after returning, this is something I never encountered anywhere else in the world

Pros: easy to pick-up, clean and good car

Cons: lots of selling extra stuff. Renting price was actually just small portion of the real price. For example there was "car cleaning fee". The whole process of picking up the car was stressful and full of intimidation about accidents, penalties and fees.

Cons: Price on the website for rented car was very attractive but once you arrived at the agency, you are charged for several additional costs (additional insurance, car wash, …)

Cons: Car Tyre punched on highway, call for help. But in the end, I have to find towing myself and workshop myself to fix the tyre. And avia charged me 605 euro, for missing tyre. Didn’t provide a good solution for client

Pros: The agent on site was a great guy.

Pros: Lovely experience with Avis as always. Great car, clean, well maintained, friendly, efficient and professional staff. It’s a pleasure renting from them.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: I went to the desk with a credit card in my name from First Direct Bank. The agent wouldn't accept it. Then she refused a card from M&S Bank. I was stranded at Split Airport at 1930 needing to be 2.5 hours away.

Cons: Ridiculous policy on credit cards. Appalling service from the ignorant agent who didn't care in the slightest. Apparently 98% of people have credit cards from a high street bank in the UK. I can guarantee they don't. Avia just stole my money.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nothing, were unable to rent the car as my credit card was not accepted.

Cons: Agent was dismissive and unhelpful. Have not received a refund yet for money paid for rental. Ended up going to a rival company who were able to sort me out a vehicle in less than ten minutes

Pros: Car was perfect.

Cons: It's Discover Cars as much as Avia I am not liking the service of. I don't have a credit card that operates branches. None of my 3 credit cards do accept MBNA is owned by Lloyds, hence why I tried to pay deposit with this. I was not going to take out a new credit card in a branch simply to satisfy an antiquated car hire policy. Absolute scam.

Cons: They would not accept my credit card. They used an excuse it was an online card but it wasn’t. Felt like a scam.

Pros: very efficient service at a competitive price

Cons: tried to sell me further insurance cover by telling me i was not fully covered (i was aware that they may do this)

Cons: Tried to get more money out of us on arrival.

Pros: The offered car was excellent, well equipped, neat, I have no complaints, I was satisfied with car...

Cons: Service advisor on reception was pleasant, but conditions that were offered spoil the mood and ruined whole beginning of the holiday... I felt fuck up... On reception I was surprised (not only I there were other customers) by the conditions written in small print, that Visa Credit is suitable, but it was not fully explained that "Cards from online-only banks Not accepted"... For example Revoliut is not considered as bank and is not suitable... The result - insurance instead of 90 € cost 450 €.

Pros: Everything went smoothly

Cons: I am aware of Avia's location so it was easy for me. Some not familiar might have some difficulty finding it initially.

Pros: I made a claim about this rental and explained my horrible experience with this rental. Discovercars have still not responded to me.

Cons: Refer to the claim

Pros: Good vehicle, helpful staff and efficient

Cons: Shame that the agents demeanour changed when she realised we did not want the products she offered

Pros: No fuss

Cons: The car location is off airport and a bit of a walk from the airport. This wasn't made clear at time of booking.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Pros: All good (you simply need to read terms and conditions completely not to be surprised) despite the fact that I do not understand why I had to reveal my credit card CVV code. There is a walk needed to pick-up a car but it is 300m, not a mile (as I read in some reviews). An 1100 EUR deposit on my credit card was fully returned within 3 days (I did not have any new damage to the car and it was normal clean after my 1000km made on Croatian roads).

Cons: You need to reveal credit card CVV code (for me this is not required when I am physically present with my card at the counter; it is need for card-Not-Present transactions).

Cons: Very disappointing experience with Avia Rent A Car. I would not recommend this company. When we arrived to pick up the car, the staff at the counter informed us that the full coverage insurance we had already purchased via DiscoverCars.com would not be accepted. They refused to give us the car unless we purchased their own full insurance, which cost almost half the price of the rental itself. We felt pressured and had no choice but to pay the extra fee, even though we had already arranged cove

Pros: Unpolished people! We couldn’t have the car.

Cons: We had to pay 2x210 EUR as we only had my Eurocard along in which the reservation was made. The two driver of the two reservations we had made only brought visa debit. No flexibility to just even change name of driver at one of the reservations to save just 1x210 EUR. This was very poor service and understanding for the situation.

Pros: We had to pay 2x210 EUR as we only had my Eurocard along in which the reservation was made. The two driver of the two reservations we had made only brought visa debit. No flexibility to just even change name of driver at one of the reservations to save just 1x210 EUR. This was very poor service and understanding for the situation.

Pros: Great car, as described in booking. Helpful agent with very good English Very quick and easy drop off

Cons: Directions to pick up the actual car were poor. Car had to be picked up off the airport terminal which was not advertised in the booking.

Pros: It was fast and everything was very well explained.

Pros: There is an ongoing issue that needs resolving as my credit card was not accepted and I had to book on the day with another company at great expense

Cons: There is an ongoing issue that needs resolving as my credit card was not accepted and I had to book on the day with another company at great expense

Pros: Brand new and a bigger car than we ordered

Pros: No complaints about the car.

Cons: I was forced to pay additional €350 euros for maximum insurance because I was not allowed to cover the deposit for the excess on my Tesco bank Mastercard credit card as Tesco bank it is not a ‘walk in bank’, they would however accept this card for the insurance payment and so this was my only option to be able to rent the vehicle. This is a scam

Pros: Nice car, quick pick up

Cons: AVIA car rental charged me for 2 tiny scratches on the rims of the wheels 525 euros. When I asked how the tyre was not scratched the agent agreed this would normally show signs of damage also. The pictures taken by the company were not on the same day and due to a delayed flight we picked up the car in the dark.m Again the agent agreed the damage was hard enough to see in the sun light but advised I should have used torches. Sadly will not be using the company in the future, or recommending

Pros: I had a really nice car, almost brand new

Cons: had to walk to a different car park to collect the car, slow check in process, should be able to check in online to speed things up.

Cons: Hidden payment for car cleaning. Hidden payment to drive on the islands (which are part of Croatia, the country I hired the car in). Hard to find pickup place.

Cons: Lots of add on costs made me feel ripped off - I would never use them again. It ended up being more expensive than using other providers - it cost 150 pounds to drive into Bosnia- this was not in the small print and a friend using another company only paid 50 euros

Pros: Very comfortable and easy to get the car

Cons: Not able to provide car same morning instead of evening as our plan change , keeping deposit for one month knowing that all parking fine if they are, can be shown in 7 days. Not renting again from them

Pros: Nothing they fuck me up to pay extra money, because I was late 2 hours to pick up the car

Cons: They were bad no helping me with the airplane delay, but changed me 18 euro fo each day because of the delay.

Pros: Nothing special

Cons: Hidden fees. Got charged 12e for “car cleaning” when returnung a wet car on rainy day.

Pros: Absolutely great service!

Cons: Absolutely great service!

Pros: Quick check in and drop off..

Cons: Car is brand new and covered in scratches and scuffs! That you are asked to get it cleaned! Never heard of that before, that’s what we are paying for! Maybe why there are so many car washes in Croatia, a bit of a con..

Pros: Fast pick up and drop off.

Cons: Ordered a medium car, but I received a VW Golf that could not hold three bags, one big and two smaller ones.

Pros: Booking was straightforward. Check-in office was at the airport. Clean car and was the car we had booked.

Cons: Whilst the office was in terminal, the collection was 5 to 10 min walk away which isn’t great when you’ve been up since 3am and it’s 30 degrees and have large suitcases. We took out the additional insurance however Avia would not let us hire the car without taking out additional 3rd party insurance which cost us another €500

Pros: very easy to book, pick up and drop off.

Pros: Good

Cons: Try to sell onother insurance where I had already booked one on your booking side..

Pros: I recently rented a car from Avia Car Rental in Split, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, their service was professional, efficient, and incredibly customer-friendly. The booking process was seamless, and the staff at the pickup location were welcoming and helpful, explaining everything clearly without any hidden fees. The car itself was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as advertised—perfect for exploring Croatia’s stunning coastline.

Cons: What really stood out was their transparency and honesty—no surprise charges or pressure to buy unnecessary extras. The return process was just as smooth, with a quick inspection and friendly farewell. If you’re looking for reliable, affordable, and stress-free car rental in Split, I highly recommend Avia Car Rental. They made my trip so much more enjoyable, and I’ll definitely be using them again on my next visit! 10/10 – Exceptional in every way!

Pros: Clear, transparent and professional

Pros: no waiting, fast service, bigger car

Cons: all good

Pros: Professional care about customer, friendly and helpfull staff in agency SPU (Split HR)

Cons: all was fine...

Pros: Perfect service

Pros: Not much

Cons: Our flight was delayed so we had to pay a €40 fee to pick up the car late. Then we were charged an additional €40 because they had to wash it when we returned it.

Cons: Very often you don’t get a car you hire. Often you get something similar

Pros: Almost new car. During the travel the car machine produced some noice and the machine was lightly overheating.

Cons: By drop off I informed Avia but the person working there did not believed me, because he just was looking how to find something more I have to pay to Avia. And he fined…if you take a car from Avia follow Avia rules.

Pros: People are great, the cars are new. I've been renting here for years and never had an issue.

Cons: Nothing

Cons: They blamed me for the damage under the car which I have not done. This behavior not only calls into question the integrity of their inspection process but also gives the impression of a premeditated attempt to charge me for damage that was clearly not my responsibility. I view this as a serious breach of professional conduct and customer trust.

Pros: Nothing really.

Cons: I frequently rent vehicles when visiting the Split region, but this was my first experience being charged a "winterization" fee for winter tires—something that was not clearly disclosed upfront. Additionally, I was charged a cleaning fee despite returning the car in excellent condition, with only a few drops of snow on the exterior. To make matters worse, I did not receive the car class I originally booked. The agency’s location was also not as indicated on the voucher. Horrible experience.

Cons: Agent don t want to help, triple extra charge in Split

Pros: For one hour extra (late due traffic jam at the border) I had to pay 37.50euro.

Pros: the ladies who received us were rude, unwelcoming and the rates were incredibly high compared to overall overview on internet booking.

Cons: Aggressive staff. Overpriced insurance for which we had no advance warning but took under threat of police costs/reports.

Pros: The worst rent a car house ever . Motherfuckers

Pros: Allways fast and good service there

Cons: We always getting smaller car than expected, based on the advertising web site

Pros: Professionl and kind team.

Pros: Price & choice of car.

Cons: Lack of signage in & out of the terminal as to where the pick up was. Also lack of directions in written information. We spent a good 30 mins walking around trying to find the place. Not good.

Cons: Refused to let me hire the car I oaijd for because I arrived an hour after my reservation time

Cons: How they try-out to purchase an extra insurance. Because I did not have a pincode on my creditcard I couldn't leave a deposit from my CC and ended up paying almost double the rental price.

Pros: Effective, new car.

Cons: Next time I won't pay for the gas in advance. it's not worth it.

Pros: Nothing they are incredibly rude and overall con artists.

Cons: Nothing they charged me 10x the original price of the vehicle in add ons.

Cons: the extra insurance I had to take out because I didn’t have enough security deposit

Pros: Close to the airport

Cons: Unfriendly and unhelpful. Ending up costing us more than 40% more than the original price.

Jawne oszustwo!!! Nigdy więcej nie wynajmę z tej wypożyczalni!

Pros: Horrible - rude, looked to make money where ever they could. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. From start to finish.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The service was shocking, not accommodating to try help or assist in any matter. Extremely unfriendly agent

Cons: There was no service The company also wanted to charge a deposit of €1700, where other companies charge €200.

Pros: The 1hr late pick up is unnecessary

Cons: Late pick up fee and no sign posts to rental station at airport

Pros: Coche de categoria superior

Cons: Empeño en contratar seguros

Pros: had to pay 80 euro for EACH car for returning the car 3 hours EARLIER

Cons: had to pay 80 euro for EACH car for returning the car 3 hours EARLIER

Pros: had to pay 80 euro for EACH car for returning the car 3 hours EARLIER

Cons: had to pay 80 euro for EACH car for returning the car 3 hours EARLIER

Cons: 1 member of the group (we had 2 cars booked) was charged 295 euro for apparent new damage UNDER the car. What we did notice is that the representative went straight away running her hand under the car and stopped at a point under the bumper. She then showed us a photo of 2 scratches on the underneath of the bumper. Our thinking was that this may only have been as a result of a scratch on a kerb when parking which did not happen on our rental period. Car had many scratches already.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They ripped me off for a scratch that was underneath the car. I was extremely careful with the car I did notnhitnoff anything. I was told it was my responsibility to check under the car before renting it...how can I possibly check under the car if a irs not hoisted up?? I was forced to pay under threat of legal action

Pros: The car was comfortable and in good order, and the customer service was good.

Cons: It was a bit unexpected for me that every tiny speck and dash on the car's body is being monitored.

Pros: La voiture

Cons: Les arnaques à l’assurances. 340e d’assurance demander à l’aéroport alors que nous avions une carte Crédit/Debit..

Pros: The overall experience was awful, staff were rude, we had to end up paying double of what we anticipated. Would not recommend to anyone

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Fast service

Cons: We did not appreciate the pushing and trying to scare us in order to buy extra insurance when picking up the car

Pros: Great service. Very helpful

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good spaceous car as desired. new car with options as Android Auto and Cruise Control

Cons: A lot of questions and a bit of pressure to buy more insurance. Unclear and unexpected fee of €50 for visiting an island in Croatia where there are many islands.

Pros: Check in is quicker for a repeat customer, not too pushy with extra insurance etc.

Cons: Every panel on the car had scratches that weren't recorded, had to check the car over very carefully before driving away and take pictures of any damage. On return, not all the damage I had pointed out had been noted on their system so was questioned on a few scratches, luckily I had pictures to show they were already there.

Cons: there were many scratches and dents on the car. We therefore overlooked a couple of barely visible and superficial scratches when we picked up the car. Marks that could have been improved with light polishing, but for which we were billed 225 Euro. We experience this as deliberate exploitation on AVIA's part, and we strongly advise against this rental company

Pros: The agents attitude was extremely poor. I asked for another driver to be added to the booking as that would have been cheaper and they wouldn't amend the original booking. I had to pay for an entirely new booking and lost the deposit I'd already paid to discover cars as he said I can't cancel it it's paid to the broker.

Cons: Avia charged me hundreds more than the original quote from discover cars.. Total rip off will never use again.

Cons: I think that the staff was very thorough with car when we picking-up and drop it off. I think that was very good thing.

Pros: excellent price, good car

Cons: far too much time spent at car pick up with agents phiotographing every last tiny scratch on the car.

Pros: Quick and new car

Cons: car was cheap but insurance almost 5 times the costs of the car, good to know this upfront

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: Paying a service charge for after 9 even though we were in a queue before the time

Pros: Car was tidy

Cons: All the additional charges that you'll end up paying, amounts to more than what you paid for the rental itself

Pros: Very Nice employees! Quality cars. Easy check in and check out.

Pros: Drop off was easy quick since there were no issues or damage

Cons: Unfriendly, very pushy regarding extra insurance, at least 10 signatures on docs no one has or takes the time to read, leaving you with a feeling of unease and possibly being framed at the end

Pros: Quick, efficient service. Great prices

Cons: car had 62000km on odometer and low battery on key remote .... was not able start car because of this few times. Also I did not get answer from agent - car is 100% your responsibility and if something happen (and it is actually happened car did not start few times) they not going to help me

Cons: The hard sell for extra insurance and information about having to have police reports for any damage..for example a 2 cm scratch was terrible.

Cons: They overcharged me for pick 10min after 9pm. They wanted to charge me 100€ for some dust in the back seats, it was a bad experience and I don't recommend Avia to other people.

Pros: Service was good and kind.

Cons: Very expensive full coverage insurance.

Pros: The car was a good car

Cons: Their service level is absolutely rubbish! They charge 50 euro for coming after 21:00. You have to pay them 1800€ that needs to be reserved or they will take 120€ to decrease that to 600€. Furthermore, you can't return the car outside of their opening hours even though they have a key box!! If you want them outside opening hours, then you have to pay 80€ fee for that. They check the car for every small detail when you return the car but only runs lightly through the car when they give i!

Pros: The car suited our needs

Cons: Extra fees for absolutely everything, horrible customer service.

Pros: Quality staff

Cons: No directions on how to find the rental location which is off airport, though not far and easy walk. Weren't interested when I advised some minor issues on returning the car, doubt they will be addressed.

Pros: Trying too hard to sell insurance… she tried to intimidate me

Cons: The rep when picking up car… car was very damaged no windshield fluid

Pros: Provided a nearly new good quality car in good condition; it also was a higher value car than I expected

Cons: As explained to me by Avia staff, any breakdown would have been treated as being my responsibility and Avia would have been under no obligation to provide any assistance. DiscoverCars said I would have the benefit of unlimited mileage. In actual fact it was limited to 400 km a day. Avia said it could take up to 30 days for the security deposit to be returned under its terms and conditions. This was not made clear by DiscoverCars. Normally, the deposit is returned as soon as the car is returned.

Pros: They are very friendly, take time for the clients and we got some damage but they helped us very nicely. They were sorry that they had to charge it. Not a commercial renter.

Cons: The car's engine was a little weak.

Pros: I really liked every aspect, the one thing that I do recommend is to take a short video of the entire car to document any previous damage. I didn’t and had to go over damages with manager and he did make it ok. He didn’t have to so I’m thankful.

Cons: Cant say I found anything I didn’t like. Overall very pleased and would use them again.

Pros: Avia was not helpful and only interested in selling more insurance and setting up for charges on return.

Cons: Made us feel very angry and feel like we were ripped off. Not a nice organisation

Pros: Excellent new car,no damage,

Pros: Excellent car - Audi Q3

Cons: They seemed incredibly picky when looking at scratches - made us a bit paranoid when we took it back but all was good. Clearly keen to sell the extra insurance.

Pros: The car was very new, washed and cleaned. The hours of pick up and drop of very flexible, the process went smoothly, no good nor bad surprises

Pros: AVIA DID A FINE. JOB. ITS DISCOVER CARS THAT DID US DIRTY ON THE RENTAL. WHEN WE SELECT FULL SIZE VAN IT DOES NOT MEAN 5 PLUS 2 IN ANY WORLD.

Cons: Unable to get a vehicle that suit3d our needs.

Cons: We had to pay an extra fee when picking up the car, Because our flight was delayed en pickup time had passed.

Pros: The man I returned the car to was lovely. No one else who worked there showed any humanity.

Cons: ReSons listed above. Additionally it is some distance out of the terminal. They charged me £80 to return it out of hours and the whole time there was a key box there I could have left the key in. I really can’t put into worlds just how terrible this experience was.

Pros: Nothing to like they were rude and overcharged me for plane late arrival

Cons: Nothing to like

Pros: We were very disapointed that when checking out the car cost us 35 eur in penalty because we were 3 hours later than planned because of flight problems. We have rented the car from a specific time, why should a penalty fee charge us if we picknick it up within officehours??? Redicilous Peter Lindbäck

Pros: Car was good

Cons: The agents

Pros: Clear instructions, helpful directions to car rental location from the airport

Cons: Little montonic in exaplining the cover policy and the moment you refuse it, they say few things to scare you.

Pros: The guy at the service rental would not rent me the car, onless i payrd an additional 474.08€. That is stealing my money. I am very upset abort this.

Cons: There was no service

Pros: Return agent was nice and it was quick

Cons: All the extra charges Welcome Agent was not helping and almost rude Not pleasant at all, do not recomand Was suppose to get a WV, althought they add some in the yard they didin't want to provide it

Pros: Efficient and friendly staff

Cons: Overall pressure to take out further insurance, if you provide the full insurance it should cover everything

Pros: It was a nice car

Cons: We had to ask security guards, and saw others doing the same, for directions to where the car rental was. It was outside the airport but there were no signs. Once there we waited about half an hour in a queue as the admin process to get the car was slow. The insurance was steep. Extras meant 80 euros to enter Bosnia (even if a simple day trip to Mostar) and to use a ferry (even a short ride to another Croatian island) another 50 euros. It all adds up.

Pros: They drove us back to the main area of airport so we could inquire about renting another car.

Pros: auto melo najeto pouze 25.tis.kn

Pros: Nothing arrogant only interested in robbing you blind

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Bad service

Cons: They could have called me, and looked for a solution so I could pick up the car at my arrival

Pros: Avia gave us a brand new car

Cons: Paperwork was very fast and guys were professional

Cons: Charged for a sat nav that was poor, car had android auto so I could have used my own phone. Extra fees for things that should have been included, despite taking out extra insurance.

Cons: Overcharged for a late pick up when system defaulted time to 9 O Clock

Pros: Flexibel

Cons: Ze probeerden je een extra vezekering te verkopen van €170 en zeiden dat de verzekering die ik bij Discovercar had afgesloten niet voldoede verzekering bood.

Pros: new car

Cons: not in terminal and no representative visible - firm a further 5 mins walk past car rental at end of a busy road - long ques and pushy untrue sales on extra insurance

Pros: No transfer from airport

Cons: Reasonable personal

Pros: Good service, got what I could expect

Pros: Smooth, patient

Cons: Not the exact car was given according to discover cars but no issues there.

Pros: Patience

Cons: Location abit hidden and no signboard and road to the place is rough especially at the end next to office

Pros: Niks.

Cons: Zie hierboven!

Pros: Really professional and excellent vehicle for great price

Pros: Nothing

Cons: It is a scam. Don’t use this rental company.

Pros: They were very helpful and this was a very smooth and easy experience

Pros: Fast pick up, possibility of picking up between several cars, flexibility for the return.

Cons: It's a bit away from terminal building.

Pros: No pressure in selling other products.

Cons: I had to hand the car back..

Cons: According to the rental agent the insurance bought online doesn’t cover anything, which is a lie. Also she made it VERY clear that even the smallest scratch to the car that you could barely see with a microscope (she even showed me) would be a minimum of 350€ and up to 900€ to pay if I didn’t get their expensive insurance. I almost walked away from the whole thing because she gave me the feeling they are thieves wanting to milk you for all the money they can.

Pros: Friendly agent

Cons: Not meeting us at agreed place

Pros: Nothing

Cons: 90% of it was poor! Felt forced into purchasing the insurance because booking through discover cars doesn’t actually cover anything, which I find extremely poor and disappointing! Wouldn’t book through 3rd party ever again.

Pros: Very helpful

Cons: Pushed full insurance protection

Pros: Our flight was delayed, called from Dublin to notify the agent. When arrived was advised to pay 35€ + €80 for the late pick up on yop of €150 for a week- crazy. Other eentals charge €35 flat no mater how late. Had no credit card on me, my own fault. But Avia were looking for €25 a day to cover insurance + full tank deposit in advance. Rip off, i just waked away at 2 am. Got a car in the airport, much cheaper, no hassle, no credit card. Would not recommend Avia as dont take care of customer

Pros: The people seemed nice.

Cons: I had my own insurance policy for excess. This has always been accepted by other car hire firms. I felt pressurised to purchase more insurance when I was told that I’d have to get a police report for a scratch! (I hire many cars each year and I’ve never been told this before.) It’s for this reason that I would not book with you again.

Pros: Clean modern and well looked after vehicles

Cons: High insurance options

Pros: newish vehicle

Cons: Pushy rep trying to sell extra insurance, being quite aggressive

Pros: Car was clean and tidy

Cons: Not inside the airport. Not clearly signposted where to go. Opened at 8am when we needed to check in the airport at 7am. Extra charge to pay if dropping earlier that 8am

Pros: The care itself was lovely.

Cons: There's too much to write in the word count you've given here. I shall write an email outlining my complaint.

Pros: Good and friendly employees. Cars are in well kept condition. Pay the extra for the 0 excess insurance for ease of mind

Pros: Nice people friendly efficient

Cons: Avia desk is a fair walk from the terminal - would have been a pain if it had been raining

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Unapologetic for no meet & greet blamed third party for sending wrong email

Pros: Fast, good communication.

Cons: Office was hard to find in Split.

Cons: The agent agressively tried to sell their insurance. He visibly shown his dissatisfaction/discontent that I didn't want to buy it. On drop-off, the agent was visibly irritated when I asked if and how I will get the confirmation that the car is okay and that I asked her to sign our copy of the documents.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: My father died and they would not refund anything. I know it is the rules, but I am sure they rented out the car, with the lack of cars these days

Pros: Car we got was new.

Cons: 1. Overall price with significant additional fees for pick up and drop off outside of working hours. This company doesn't appreciate that the client doesn't have control over flight delays. 2. Onerous process for pick up and drop off. 3. Avia policy that requires police report for any incident, including minor scratches or dents. This made for an overall feeling of discomfort to drive this car, as we didn't want to spend our limited vacation time getting a police report.

Pros: Pretty fast drop off

Cons: Hard sell of additional insurance Difficult to find pick up location and no SMS directions until third phone call Painfully slow completion of paperwork despite no queue Slow delivery of car at pick up Expensive

Pros: Return collection representative was quick and efficient

Cons: The initial representative when picking the car was not how I would want the customer face of my company to act. Quite abrupt ant matter of fact. This was exacerbated by the additional unqualified late collection fee and the hard sell of additional Avia insurance which was not required.

Cons: The extra charge we incurred for a late pick up that was completely out of our control as the flight was delayed

Cons: Unfair extra fees were charged - pick up the car a little later than expected but still within normal opening hours will cost you 35 EUR per hour - unfair way to operate the business.

Cons: Car was picked up during non-daylight hours and therefore, there was no way of fully checking all damage to the car. When iot was dropped off, I was told there were two new damaged areas. There is not a chance that this was correct I had already increased the insurance so that any excess was reduced to a minimum when originally booking the car. However, I was informed that this did not cover me for everything and I needed to pay an additional 150 Euros to have full cover. Not particularly impre

Pros: The process was relatively quick and easy.

Cons: The instructions on picking up the car were wrong, nobody there to meet us as agreed, we had to call and find the office (no desk in the airport). Order a Skoda Fabia and was given a Dacia Sandero (without doubt the worst car I have ever driven). Glad I took out the extra insurance as when car was returned they highlighted a scrub on the plastic wheel hubcap. They wouldn't order a taxi for us when we picked the car up.

Pros: Nothing. Arrogant employees trying to sell us insurance we didnt need.

Cons: Everything. Will never use again. Hustler company.

Pros: Rep was friendly

Cons: A long walk from terminal. No personal meet although promised. Car sub standard. Request to add GPS unactioned.

Pros: The car was adequate for our needs

Cons: No meet and greet. Very heavy handed sales technique from the representative to take out an extra £200 insurance on top of what we paid. The sales pitch was intimidating, we felt we had no option but to pay the extra

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything, this is a fraudulent organisation that seek to extract the most funds possible from the customer even resorting to illegal activities like back dating insurance policies to days before the collection of the car. It also enforces the full-to-full fuel tank in hybrid cars because they know that its unlikely that the customer will consume the full tank in few days. Avia do not recognises the insurance bought @ discovers cars and forces to buy a second insurance. the customer ends with 2

Pros: I would advise never renting with Avia. A very minimal scratch which was caused by another car was charged for £250. Something other companies would not do. Not worth the savings.

Cons: See above.

Pros: Good at drop off in Dubrovnik ...helpful And efficient.

Cons: Slightly rude and generally unhelpful staff at split airport

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Trying to up-sell additional insurance even after insurance was purchased online and I explained that my credit card provided insurance.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: There was no service No apology for incorrect information Hard sell of extras Dacia supplied not Fabia, very badly designed car

Pros: Nothing - disorganized

Cons: Cra was fine

Pros: The car itself was all right. I got a good enough car. Almost new one. Small but good.

Cons: They did try to sell me all bells and whistles what they did find. Trying to get price up. They charged me even 47 liters gasoline as a tankfull even that amount does not fit in the gasoline tank of the car.

Pros: not much

Cons: see comment re insurance .. will avoid

Pros: Efficeint

Cons: Felt pressured a bit to buy insurance and permit that we didn't need. They also didn't tell us how dangerous to turn out of parking lot and to use road mirror. Almost got hit within 1 minute of renting!!!

Pros: Nice car. Drop off was smooth as was expecting issues after reading reviews.

Cons: Pressure to buy extra insurance. And no email sent after drop off as stated.

Pros: Drop-off was quick and easy

Cons: Front desk associate was very pushy for insurance coverage and tried to intimidate into purchasing a premium insurance. Car was clean but a large dent on one side in the car already. Also extra fees for entering another country which I was unaware of prior to booking.

Cons: I was effectively told the insurance I purchased through discover cars was useless and it was essential I paid another £200 towards Avia cars insurance to protect me, otherwise I would have multiple issues if anything was to go wrong. Between you, you need to figure out what a customer needs and stop fleecing customers of money. It’s a disgrace and puts a person who just wants a hassle free holiday in a very awkward position. Also the car seats/fitting were not isofix and fitted poorly.

Pros: Absolutely rip off

Pros: The car was almost brand new and very nice.

Cons: Was told that it was meet and greet in the arrivals hall but had to get a local to call the company and walk outside the building to get met.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Everything. They are thiefs

Pros: Clean car.

Cons: Hidden charges. Extremely pushy to take the additional insurance. Time to pick up and drop off the car.

Pros: Quick service

Pros: La femme au retour de la voiture nous a déposé à l'aéroport pour que nous ne manquions pas notre avion : Kvala

Cons: trop de temps perdu et informations sur le pétrole du véhicule incorrectes

Pros: Staff at Split Airport were first class, made me feel like my business and my happiness truly mattered to them.

Cons: Nothing, staff was perfect.

Pros: Reasonable price for quality of car

Cons: No one to meet and greet as was supposed to happen. Had to make phone calls before someone eventually arrived. Long wait to be returned also.

Pros: Friendly and efficient

Cons: Lack of transparency between Discover Cars and Avia regarding details of the booking and insurance conditions

Pros: A good car and quick drop-off process.

Cons: See the comment for the first question above.

Cons: I was charged more than 250 EUR for a tiny scratch that was clearly caused by a passing car. Unfortunately I had to catch a flight so I didn't have time to argue with them.

Pros: Friendly staff, smooth transaction, great value.

Cons: Took a very long time to pick up vehicle (90 minutes) but understandable as they were very busy that day

Pros: Good clean car

Cons: Should have explained additional expenses prior to rental.

Pros: Friendly and quick service

Cons: The booking said the representative would be by the arrivals gate, we waited there for 30 mins, only to find out by telephoning Aviva that he was waiting outside the terminal.

Pros: Car Condition

Cons: Customer Service

Pros: Was told false information and not explained too properly.

Cons: Nearly everything

Pros: Friendly stuff

Cons: Finding the Rent

Cons: We was meant to be met at airport had to make 2 phonecalls before someone turned up. Then we was left waiting in the heat whilst car was washed. We booked a Skoda Fabia and got an Opel Corsa kids had to have luggage on lap. Staff not really bothered

Pros: Nothing! It was horrible.

Cons: Everything. It was the worst car rental company I have ever seen. Rude!!!!

Pros: N/A

Cons: Desk was not in the airport with the other car rental agencies. Charges for 'damage' are fixed and non-negotiable. I got charged £150 for a scratch which was about 6cm (over their 5cm threshold) but barely below the surface and not below the paint, which would be the same amount charged to a large scratch that went through the paint. Utterly ridiculous and untransparent policy - can't recommend. Agents also very unfriendly.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: All. Worst experience renting a car. I have the feeling that they overcharged me, without any reason. I had to pay full insurance twice, as apparently the one that I paid before picking up the car was 'useless', using the representative words

Cons: I arrived late at the meet and greet (there is no Avia desk at the Split airport). As I was more than an hour late, my booking has simply just been cancelled and no money could be refunded. AVIA Rent A car said they couldn't do anything because my booking has been cancelled by dicovercars.com. Had I known about this cancellation policy I would have never booked through discovercars.com. And I will certainly not book a car again via discovercars.com anymore. The customer service is appalling.

Pros: These are a scam. I payed full insurance to Discover Car and Avia says its not valid??? So i end up paying two insurances!!! Discover cars sells a nonvalid insurance or Avia picked up320 euros extra. Humbug is what it is.

Cons: See other page.

Pros: Clean, good condition

Cons: Different information compared to Discover Cars. Needed to pay more for the car. Did not compromise. Difficulties finding the rental desk/ representative. Awful!

Pros: I liked the efficiency of the representative & the car condition

Cons: I found out by speaking with a representative from another car rental company that I had to contact Avia in order to be picked up from the airport. I did not like the extra 50 euro fees because I arrived after 9:00pm at the rental car location & I surely did not enjoy not being compensated for the mistake made on my reservation.

Pros: They were fine. Renting a car is always a bit stressful with all the options the companies try to present but they were much less pushy than others I have experience.

Cons: Only accepted credit card for the deposit which was a real pain as the only one I had with me doesnt have a high enough limit on it so ended up having to spend more money to reduce the deposit.

Pros: Garbage company.

Cons: Never again will I rent from them.

Pros: The car was completely new and it was great at handing back the car

Cons: They didnt pick us up although that was agreed. we had to call them before they told us where to go for pickup. Even after pick up we had to wait a long time before getting attended. All in all we had to wait almost two hours for getting our car although we had booked a time. Once it was our turn they were trying to force us to buy extra insurance and other additional fees which we had not booked. They were not helpful when we considered cancelling said we would need to go through Discover Cars

Pros: Car was ok. Dropping car was ok.

Cons: Nobody from Avia meet us in Airport. I had to call myself to Avia and they transported whole family to Avia parking lot nearby airport. Getting car took 2h. .

Pros: Things went smooth from pickup and hand back

Cons: Quite aggressive in trying to sell insurances. Also we had to pay a 50 euro additional fee because of traveling to an island, which felt a bit sketchy. Car condition was okeish

Pros: The car was clean and new. The staff on the desk was polite and quick.

Cons: Fuel policy on the site was Full to Full. However, I got the car with 3/8 of the tank.

Pros: Nice people

Cons: price for the longer period could be lower

Pros: nothing.

Cons: they were rude, unhelpful, additional charges that came from no-where, ie; the booking was taking too long so we needed to hand over another 50 euros. they were far from the airport.
