Avia Rent A Car at Split Airport

Pros: Car was perfect.

Cons: It's Discover Cars as much as Avia I am not liking the service of. I don't have a credit card that operates branches. None of my 3 credit cards do accept MBNA is owned by Lloyds, hence why I tried to pay deposit with this. I was not going to take out a new credit card in a branch simply to satisfy an antiquated car hire policy. Absolute scam.

For example Revoliut is not considered as bank and is not suitable... The result - insurance instead of 90 € cost 450 €.

There is a walk needed to pick-up a car but it is 300m, not a mile (as I read in some reviews). An 1100 EUR deposit on my credit card was fully returned within 3 days (I did not have any new damage to the car and it was normal clean after my 1000km made on Croatian roads).

The pictures taken by the company were not on the same day and due to a delayed flight we picked up the car in the dark.m Again the agent agreed the damage was hard enough to see in the sun light but advised I should have used torches. Sadly will not be using the company in the future, or recommending

Cons: 1 member of the group (we had 2 cars booked) was charged 295 euro for apparent new damage UNDER the car. What we did notice is that the representative went straight away running her hand under the car and stopped at a point under the bumper. She then showed us a photo of 2 scratches on the underneath of the bumper. Our thinking was that this may only have been as a result of a scratch on a kerb when parking which did not happen on our rental period. Car had many scratches already.

They check the car for every small detail when you return the car but only runs lightly through the car when they give i!

DiscoverCars said I would have the benefit of unlimited mileage. In actual fact it was limited to 400 km a day. Avia said it could take up to 30 days for the security deposit to be returned under its terms and conditions. This was not made clear by DiscoverCars. Normally, the deposit is returned as soon as the car is returned.

Once there we waited about half an hour in a queue as the admin process to get the car was slow. The insurance was steep. Toen ik opnieuw boos reageerde had ik volgens de man dat van €15/dag misbegrepen maar kon hij het uiteindelijk doen voor €20/dag

And I will certainly not book a car again via discovercars.com anymore. The customer service is appalling.

Cons: I found out by speaking with a representative from another car rental company that I had to contact Avia in order to be picked up from the airport. I did not like the extra 50 euro fees because I arrived after 9:00pm at the rental car location & I surely did not enjoy not being compensated for the mistake made on my reservation.
