Pros: Estaba dentro del aeropuerto

Cons: No volvería a alquilar un coche en Active, me sentí engañada y decepcionada, antes de entregar el coche tuve que pagar 180€ de más, no nos acompañaron a la entrega del coche, te hacen pagar por cambiar de país, por la limpieza del coche, llevas contratado un seguro y te meten miedo para que hagas otro, no entregan el coche lleno de gasolina, pagas 100€ por entregar el coche en otro aeropuerto, por si quieres ir alguna isla..cuando sumas el total es muy caro, te sale más económico otras empresas.

Pros: Good car, free upgrade, very appreciative staff at the drop off because I reported the damage to the police and to them in advance properly. Good ratings on discoverycars and Google also gives more peace of mind.

Cons: The 30 euros I was charged about the ferry permit was not well explained. I didn’t quite understand if it was insurance, or permit, or mandatory. It was just not cool that when I asked if it was mandatory he only said “you’ll have a lot of trouble if there’s any damage in the ferry” but any customer would rather hear black and white what they are paying for. Something to improve. Other than that he was a good guy and he gave us a good car.

Cons: They have a cleaning fee of the car in addition. Though luckily they didn't charge this from me as I said I can either pay in the end or wash the car myself. But not a fan of additional charges. Also it sucks that they are allowed to take your id card and driver licence and make copies of it similar like in hotels. This is prone to forgery and identity theft.

Pros: Everything was great, honestly, apart from the below.

Cons: There is a "clean to clean" "policy" that they've recently introduced. I was told when I picked up the car that if it's dirty then there'd be a €20 cleaning fee. Fair enough, but a strange thing to mention since I've rented cars all over and nobody has ever explicitly mentioned it. General expectations is that this is part of the service that the rental company provides. If it's obnoxiously dirty, then it's probably fair enough to charge for that. Cons: Child seat was out of stock so they offer to go to Europcar to pick up one BUT I had to pay cash a Europcar for the seat and the seat was really old and they didn't have time (active or Europcar) to explain me how to install the seat. After looking for tutorial online I was able to install the seat safely and my kid in it.

Pros: They were very helpful and informative. The car was the same size as promised and they properly noted the pre-existing damage so that it was not an issue when we returned the car.

Cons: Nothing. It was great. Discover should tell you when you purchase their insurance that the rental company will charge you a large deposit since the insurance you have paid for is not through them. That was the sole disappointment of the rental process

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 800.00), Theft Protection, Winter tires, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 22.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

For vehicles in groups Economy, Mini a driver license issued at least 2 years ago is required.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains, Wi-Fi.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 90 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 12 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
