Cons: The amount blocked on the credit card was greater than expected, 1400 rather than 1100
Cons: Ordered online and opted for full comp insurance. When picking the car up, i was basically told that was no good and they would have to charge my card over £1000. They started to tell me all things I would be for damages if I didn't pay for a higher insurance even though fully comp online said I was covered. Never had this with other rental companies, this is twice it has happened with gold car. Online I was due to pay £180, ended up over £400

Cons: Goldcar agents were rude & pushy because we didn't take the extra cover. The car was dirty, beaten up & didn't sound healthy, thought we would breakdown every day. Watch out for all of the hidden charges, we were charged €60 with no explanation. Finally got an answer 3 months later but it was after lots of call & email, seriously poor service, that is why they tend to be the cheapest, they have to be for the lack of quality cars & staff
Pros: They person at the counter was really friendly and helpful. I was not pressured into buying an additional insurance.

Cons: For some unknown reason they charged me extra off my initial deposit with no explanation why as the car was in no accidents and returned full of fuel but seemed the need to charge me £46.78

Cons: We had to pay more for the car than expected due to financial issues. They tolk the deposit amount from my account and back again but used different exchange rates - so that cost me. Also they tryed to cheat/ or made a mistanke in calculation

Cons: I didn't like that I have to pay 50 euros to this website and goldcar didn't know about it and I'm still waiting for more than 1000 euros deposit back.
Pros: The drop off of the car was quick and easy process
Cons: Slow service when picking up the car, took one hour also had to check the car over for damage ourselves and had to go back into the terminal to report damage to bodywork which wasn't logged. Gold car appeared to be short staffed one receptionist one manager doing something else, no one in the car park.

Cons: When we got to gold car they gave us a dirty, damaged car saying we couldn't have anything better as we'd booked via an agency and not direct. At the end of the rental even though the staff checked our car and signed it as no damage etc we were charged over £200 on our credit card

He made me buy an extra insurance which was very expensive telling me 20 times that the one I have from dicover cars will not cover anything if something happens. He was so rude and told me that he dosent care about clients opinion. I will never rent a car in goldcare again. That was the worse expierience with the rental car that I ever had

Cons: The company provided (GOLD CAR) actually took the deposit money (Euros 1531) from my credit card account rather than just place a marker against it and says it may not be returned for up to 30 days!!! They have confirmed that the car has been returned satisfactorily and full of fuel. Furthermore, the car was in an awful condition on receipt: - windows had to be cleaned before I could drive away - The report showed just one scratch on the bonnet - whereas I found 15 further issues that I raised

Cons: I felt like I was hoodwinked into adding the €120 extra insurance. He made it sound as if it was €5 euros extra and the whole thing was €120 euros but it wasn’t. It was very unclear and I’m convinced he knew exactly what he was doing. The car wasn’t very clean on the outside and on the inside the window screen was smeared so had to use a cloth to see out of it properly. I also ordered a Ford focus or something similar and got a Hyundai i30. I would say this was akin to a fiesta not a focus.
Cons: The company are thieves and your good partners. We had to pay at pick-up 87.79 EUR but we were charged and payed 304.08 EUR. I presume you will immediately reimburse us the difference (216.29 EUR). OTHERWISE I will approach the supervising British authorities. Prof Bruthans

Rental car desk is the first people you see when you go on vacation and you don't want to struggle from the beginning so you are not careful enough, that is well thought from the start from this guys...

Pros: Efficient customer service, even with a language barrier (as my Spanish isn't strong), the agent was fluent in English. The CoVid safety procuedures were very well explained and felt secure in the knowledge that those were taken very seriously.

Cons: I have been deceived. I rented a car with goldcar with full insurance. on the spot, on the pretext of paying a deposit, I was ordered to take out additional full insurance and other additional fees. Instead of paying 100 euros for the rental, I paid almost 300 non-refundable.

And didn't want to take the deposit from it. It's unreasonable for them to retain deposits for 20 days

Pros: I did not rent the car as the policies were abusive I ended renting the car with another company and losing my deposit. It was a total waste of time.

Cons: very expensive, they try to scare you into taking the full insurance out as if you go on the off road tracks the police will fine you, we had a small amount of sand in the car (beach holiday) charged us £40 to clean it, it ended up costing us nearly £80 per day for the car !

Cons: Extreme high pressure to sell me their insurance policy. Using scare tactics & threats. Upon return of the car I asked twice for it to be inspected & the guy told me he ‘does it later’. I had to go inside terminal building & queue at the desk to speak to a different representative to insist the car was checked for damage & to check fuel levels whilst I was there.
