Cons: Online check in to speed collection. Completed online, arrived at pick up desk and could find no record. Had to start from scratch and took longer than usual due to time spent looking for online check in details.

Pros: Nothing was an issue - car was fine just tracking a bit off and the driver before me must've been doing some wheel spins based on the tread. Ultimately, didn't impact my life and the car worked well. Staff were friendly and nothing took too much time, so happy with everything

Cons: Service at the counter was very frustrating. There was one server initially, and she was extremely slow with a customer. Lots of chit chat, which is ok to an extent but not when there are other customers waiting. She was at least 15 minutes with the customer. The car itself was clearly damaged, yet reported to me as not damaged. I took photos, but shouldn't really need to after a long flight, and in a dark carpark. I have no idea what the benefit of check in on line was by the way...

We discussed the excess, he threatened that meant I would have to pay thousands of euro, I clarified this was in the event of damage. He said this was inevitable. I kept saying no & he kept insisting I say that meant I would have to pay thousand of euro, I was fine with agreeing to the excess in the event of damage but he kept aggressively shouting I would have to pay

Cons: Don't understand why there was the car not ready. Told I was early. by10mins. wanted to know when I wanted the rental to start. From now or at the booked time. Seemed strange to need to confirm this. Car however was not ready as it was being refuled. Waited 20 mins only to find car with empty fuel. Complained and was sorted but having hired several cars abroad over the years. I have never had to wait for the car. Why did I not get a different car if mine was not ready.

Pros: The car was very new and drove well, the drop off was easy.

Cons: The wait for pick up was long. Almost 2 hours, no one in the car park when we got there so had to find the car in the dark.

Cons: Couldn’t find the car. Directions and signals were poor and it was dark. Instructions should have been a lot clearer and need more signs The car when eventually found was not in the allocated bay. Had to ask for help to find it. No maps provided like other companies

Cons: The very slow pick up. Long queue. Then went up for the car and had been given wrong details / keys so had to wait for someone to go back down to the office for new car to be allocated. Took well over an hour and a half from landing to getting the keys.

Pros: It is obvious that there is no cooperation between Discovery Cars and Avis/Budget. When I arrived, I was asked to pay an extra €220, and I was even told to call Discovery Cars myself—yet no one answered. This was clearly not treated as their problem, and it was a very poor start to my holiday.

Cons: • I spent over an hour on the phone trying to reach Discovery Cars, but no one answered. • It seems there is no cooperation between Discovery Cars and Avis/Budget, as I had to pay an extra €220 upon arrival. • I was told to call Discovery Cars myself, but again no one answered so if I wanted the car I already paid for I had to pay ekstra 220 euro. • Overall, the whole situation felt like cheating and made for a very bad start to my holiday.

Pros: Car is of medium condition but in line with what is paid for it and it runs. Deposit was returned properly after dropoff. Pickup desk is in the arrivals hall. Dropoff is across the street where you pick up the actual car. Drop off lady was quick and efficient.

Cons: Lady at the front desk lies in order to coerce you into buying a larger car. She says: If you take this small car, you are not able to visit the beach. A clear lie. There is no issue in going to the beach with the compact car. Do watch the speedbumps as with high speed, you can damage the underside. She scares people that for every small damage you have to pay 2000 euro. Maybe focus on the condition of the car (worn tires, cleanliness, replace windowasherfluid) before coercing customers.

Cons: Car had damages which were not noted on the form and should have been full of fuel but was only 1/4 full. We emailed Avis / budget on this but they didn’t respond. We had no issue when dropping off however.

Pros: Drop off was quick and friendly

Cons: Pick up desk lady very very rude and demanded I purchase their insurance for €400. I showed her my documents from Discovery but she said that didn’t cover anything. I stood my ground and she got very aggressive. Car roof, inside was splattered in blood and disgusting with stained seats and full of sands.

Pros: The guys at the car return were clear, kind, and very fast – truly professional and helpful.

Cons: Terrible experience at pickup in Fuerteventura. The girl at the counter tried to trick me by claiming I had no insurance included and insisted I had to pay extra for coverage. In reality, insurance was already included in my booking. Additionally, their portal clearly stated that American Express was accepted — which is the main reason I chose this company — but she told me they didn’t accept it. Only after I said it was my only card did she agree to take the deposit. DrivesCar was €350 take400

Cons: Car was not cleaned properly and the condition was poor. More scratches on it than initially declared and a tyre with low pressure - when I pointed it out I was told to just put some air in it and call if there is an issue. Also the fuel deposit turned out to not be a deposit but a charge. The so called no worry policy when there is a fuel station on site at the airport and to be told just bring it back empty for 80 Euros. I thought I would get the difference back - it's a very poor trick.

Cons: When collecting the car at car hire desk lady was very persuasive trying to get us to purchase breakdown cover for extra charge of 7 euros a day, telling us if we breakdown we will have to arrange our own way of getting car back to rental company, which meant ringing breakdown and being charged 105 euros! We have hired many rental cars and never had to pay for this before, it has always been included in the price. Just another way to try and get more money from you by scaring you.

Pros: The staff in the airport office was ok.

Cons: The person at pick up location was unkind and patronising. When I said that the car was dirty she was teaching me that the island is very windy and cars get dirty. I have been coming to this island for 9 years, never had a car that was dirty inside as this one. I have photographs. I brought it back cleaner than it was given to me. On the way back I was told to wait to hand in the key and someone to check that the car was ok. I arrived 20 minutes earlier than the booked time. Not impressed.
