TopCar at Fuerteventura Airport

Pros: No credit card required. A debit card is sufficient.

Cons: There is nothing to fault.

Pros: Simpatia e compreensão dos colaboradores

Cons: Estado geral da viatura que foi entregue

Pros: Easy to find check in and drop off

Cons: 3 hour wait to collect car. Car had not been cleaned and interior was very dirty

Pros: How quickly the return was

Cons: the queue in the terminal took a while as only one staff member at the desk

Pros: Fast

Cons: Damaged cars

Pros: On the car started showing engine check light so top car has no problem to replace car with the new one. So much satisfied and thank you.

Pros: Rapide

Cons: L'état du véhicule à revoir

Pros: Nothing

Cons: I preboked Citroen C3 aircross, when we arrive TopCars try to give me Toyota Yaris witch they sayd is the same class which it was not obviously, after a lot of arguments and arguing they give me Toyota Corola which it was nearly the same as the Yaris and then they say do you want insurance with us it will cost you £125 I say I already have premium insurance and they refuse to accept it..... So long story short I will not use Top cars again I like to recive the car that I booked not different.

Pros: Not much.

Cons: Pick up very slow, desk attendant spent 10 mins doing paperwork before helping us. Also tried repeatedly to obtain money for CDW even though we had taken out a policy. Tried to sell it on the basis that an unnecessary 1800 euro policy was cheaper than a 1600 euro deposit. They haven’t refunded the deposit yet. Car was very dirty inside and out and missing rear wiper blade.

Pros: All good, easy to use and very straightforward!

Cons: None at all!

Pros: The agent meeting us did a good job, but not really the happiest of people

Cons: I had an engine management light come on the car in the first week. I spoke to an agent via whatsapp which was good, but they asked me to drive the car in. I would have expected working for a large vehicle sales and repair company myself, that they would have offered to come out and swap it over. I was on holiday so my time is limited and what if the vehicle broke down. I wouldn't ask our customers to drive the vehicle in. I also realized that the wiper blades had worn down to nothing!

Cons: As above, unacceptablly long pick up time and car dirty inside and out on collection.

Pros: Topcar se retrasó 45 minutos en la entrega del coche cuando había una reverva y gente para atender a la cola de personas que habia. No tenian ganas de atender y deberian priorizar las reservas.

Cons: Impuntualidad, descortesía y pasotismo.

Pros: Easy and cheap

Cons: Wait twice - once at desk in airport and second at kiosk in car park.

Cons: L’utente che era al banco, non si è resa disponibile nonostante ci fosse una nostra prenotazione a nostro nome, ci ha comunicato non avere alcun voucher. Abbiamo dovuto chiamare il call center di discovercars per risolvere. Imbarazzante.

Pros: Friendly and quick

Cons: Nice to get conf re return condition before departure

Pros: The overall communication was excellent, both at the counter and via email, responses were clear and prompt. The pick-up and drop-off were quick and straightforward, and the car I received matched exactly what I had booked, with no unexpected substitutions or surprises.

Cons: The car had quite a few pre-existing scratches and dents when collected. While this didn't affect the drive itself, it did cause some unnecessary stress over whether any of the existing damage might be attributed to me on return. My advice to anyone renting with TopCar, or any agency, is to thoroughly photograph the entire car before driving away, just to protect yourself.

Pros: Easy access in the airport terminal and car park for pick up and drop off.

Pros: Professionalism and helpfulness.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Fast

Cons: Car was not clean inside (needs valet) or outside. Also car was old and run down with many scratches and dents all over the bodywork.

Pros: Great little car, and very quick and easy drop off

Cons: Very slow pick up, initially one person at the counter with a long queue of customers.

Pros: Fast, easy and with smile. Good beginning of nice holidays

Cons: Better cleaning needs

Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful and I didn't feel they were trying to pressure me

Cons: it was all good

Cons: The car was quite scratched and dented, and the boot rattled, but overall the experience with using Topcar was excellent.

Pros: Everything. Nothing else to say!:)

Cons: All good and thx and see you next time!:)

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff at airport counter

Cons: Car was damaged and scuffed. No maps given to support rental trips.

Pros: Super fast pick up and drop off, nee car.

Cons: The car was not clean inside.

Pros: uncomplicated and friendly staff

Cons: The car was dirty (not only full of sand - inside and outside - ok it was windy fuerteventura, but even an open old water bottle inside the car - means it wasn't even cleaned after the last rental)

Pros: No hassle and good value

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nice n easy

Cons: Nothing really

Pros: Friendly helpful and efficient

Pros: Easy and relatively quick pick-up from terminal and the car was in excellent condition and as per booking

Cons: Online check-in would help speed up the pick up process

Pros: Vehicle not washed.. but not dangerously dirty. Several minor dints & scratches that were "okay we know about the damage" without checking with me.

Cons: Only the way they dismiss any prior damage without noting on documents, and the delay in returning the deposit.

Pros: Un solo operatore in aereoporto un’ora di attesa per il ritiro .

Cons: Auto dentro sporca vetri interni soprattutto, spazzole tergi obsolete e senza liquidò detergente.

Pros: The speed of process

Cons: Car didn't appear to have been cleaned internally

Pros: Staff very polite and helpful, easy pick up and drop off,

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Car was nice, agents were nice

Cons: Car was too dirty on pick up, we had to wait at least 30 min for pick up

Pros: Took over an hour to pick up the car, with only 2 staff members on the desk. One even took a 5 minute call when I was at the desk.

Cons: Deposit wasn’t refunded in full yet the car was returned as it was taken

Cons: Didn't get full refund on security deposit

Pros: Not much, but the car worked👍🏻

Cons: Over 1,5 hours before we got to the front of the line and a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes until we got the car. Worst ever!

Pros: Not a lot

Cons: The almost two hour collection wait

Pros: Lots of dents and a major scrape by the rear wheel arch

Pros: Good choice of cars competitively priced

Cons: It wasn't clear on the booking form that Top Car was the hire company so it took about 20 minutes to find the pick up desk

Pros: Ladies in a drop-office

Cons: 2h waiting to get a car, I paid for SUV and I've been given VW polo first but I went to the drop off office and luckily very nice ladies there quickly arranged me a bigger car which I needed and swapped from polo to tiguan

Pros: Back window wiper wasnt working, there was no water in the window wipers and lights kept flashing on the dash

Pros: Nothing

Cons: 2 hour queue to collect

Cons: Info line does not work at all. No one is picking up the phone. We have tried to extend our contract calling for 2 days few times with no result. There is automatic phone box but even we left the message with request for contact no reply.

Pros: The speed of picking up and returning the car and the possibility of paying by debit card instead of credit

Cons: The windshield was dirty and the car had no water for the windshield wipers, so it would need some more checks before being rented to the next customer.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Nothing

Pros: 2 Cars from the 3 were in bad conditions

Cons: They deliver a cars with problems, first I had to drive back to their office (3 hrs) and the 2nd time they replaced at the hotel only after being very clear about their quality they come in action, and they charge me for the replaced of their own lousy car.

Pros: Right wiper peeling off and not cleaning properly

Cons: They want to sell you extra insurance even after you told them you are fully cover

Cons: Huge queues to collect the car - almost two hours with people pushing in at the front

Pros: TopCar was super easy for our family vacation.

Cons: The car had 54K KM on it and made some odd mechanical noises. I think it was due for a checkup. It got the job done but definitely on the older end of rental cars I’ve ever had.

Pros: Not much

Cons: Long queue.. car not very clean.. car not in good conditions , broke down in the middle of our trip

Pros: Pick up and drop off was quick and easy.

Cons: We felt lied as we had been tricked into paying more for the same car other providers were offering.

Pros: Not much

Cons: Poor overall

Pros: It's cheap for a reason

Cons: Long queue to get car assigned, then had to wait another 45 mins to collect car because it was allegedly being cleaned

Pros: Drop of was oke

Cons: Pick up whas really slow! Only 4 people in front of me in line. Took about 1 hour! After a long flight this was not pleasent. Car windshield was dirty on the inside.

Pros: Pickup was delayed 45min

Cons: Car was scratched and damaged when paperwork says different

Pros: Easy to find desk and car

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Correcte afhandeling

Cons: Bij het inleveren geen controle van de auto bij het afgeven sleutels

Pros: Easy, quick and friendly

Cons: Pick up time took nearly an hour. Some damage to car

Pros: The agents themselves were courteous and as efficient as they could be , there just wasnt enough of them!!!

Cons: The waiting time to collect the car was almost 2 hours. Only 50% of the desks were manned at a time when several flights landed around the same time. Based on this I will never use Top car again. This delayed our arrival at the hotel on what was already a short break. A short break made even shorter !

Pros: Easy drop off

Cons: Not much to be honest

Cons: Excess was not what was quoted on booking

Pros: we had no problems, everything was fine, staff was helpful and explained all conditions. no complains

Pros: Picking was quick and easy. Deposit returned within 2 days

Pros: Great service at the desk very quick Easy to return

Cons: Car was dirty inside and outside, and pretty battered. We're not fussy people but it's not the usual standard we get when hiring cars at any price point.

Pros: car was good. drop off was super quick and easy

Cons: long queue for collection and took a lot of time. QR code did not work. waited and was told to go around to the other side.

Pros: Nothing. There wasn't any

Cons: The queues. The terms of the contract meaning I couldn't collect another day when it was quieter.

Pros: Easy drop off

Cons: Collection was awful - very slow with a huge queue, and poor communication between staff. I’d booked an automatic car, but got given a manual. I was told I could get an automatic car if I waited, but they had no idea how long that would be because colleagues weren’t picking up the phone.

Pros: No fuel and tyres where bold felt uneasy driving with my children

Cons: No fuel and car wasn’t to expectation tires where unsafe

Pros: Nice clean car, easy service, pick up and drop off

Cons: Car had not been fully checked with washer fluid, tyre pressures etc. But car was still fine.

Pros: Ease of drop off.

Cons: Very slow pickup at counter; had to wait around 30 minutes. Car was very tired; probably a scratch/ dent on every side. Hatchback boot lid only one strap.age of car. 48000k on an island that size!

Cons: Auto bei Übernahme ohne Wasser für Scheibenwischer und auch das Kühlerwasser unter Minimum...

Pros: Easy return of car

Cons: We waited 95 min to get the car key. All info already added to your system and the Topcar app had to be reintered at the counter.

Pros: Nice staffs, car condition, easy and safety

Cons: Prices was better slightly different after renting.

Pros: Simple to use

Cons: Website was a bit haphazard at times, with information entered on my search changing when i went to book - had to have customer agent update the information to originally requested

Cons: No one obviously available at collection point to address the issue of the car model being changed from that selected when ordering ( see point raised below) and also recorded small existing damaged area on collection form that did not represent the location of that subsequently identified. This issue was however satisfactorily resolved upon return of the vehicle. With full insurance cover having been selected and paid is it really necessary necessary to take a large deposit? Others do not!

Pros: Alles Prima!!

Pros: No queues at reception

Cons: The windscreen was very dirty on the inside when the sun shone on it it became impossible to see through so we had to stop to clean it as it was very dangerous. Also the existing damage was not recorded on any informative. given to me.

Pros: Very efficient, particularly the returns process.

Pros: All good

Cons: All was good

Pros: No issues by booking or collecting the car.

Pros: Have used over 20 times, always use TopCar on the islands

Cons: The car windscreen wash is rarely containing water

Pros: Short waiting time, great service.

Cons: Took nearly 1 hour to pick up very slow service

Cons: The Long wait to collect the keys

Pros: Every panel has damage tyres on the limit I got stopped for a alcohol test the policeman inspected the tyres very closely, advantage of having a damaged they're not so picky because they know every panels damaged and I actually prefer it that way I've got had cars damaged when I'm in possession of them but no near it

Cons: Please beware of the long delays when collecting your car. Fuerteventura collection took ages. We book a small automatic but was given a large car as they didn't have any small ones. Didn't have to pay for the upgrade. But doesn't help when you wanted a small one.

Pros: Close to terminal

Cons: Condition of the car, slow service

Cons: Car had a few scratches.

Pros: Not a lot

Cons: Massive queue for 2 hours on pick-up

Pros: Efficient and polite

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The car was damaged on the left side but the car information only had damage recorded on the right. So I had to take photos for evidence on return which caused me anxiety in case the didn’t believe me. I have had €42 taken by top car and no explanation why.

Cons: I paid extra insurance to discover cars at time of booking. When I collected the car I had to ether pay another €49 for full insurance or pay a refundable €900 if I return without damage. If I caused damage they would keep the €900 and I would have to claim back through the original insurance I bought. Extremely frustrating I have hired numerous cars and never had money actually taken off my credit card, and not it hasn’t been fully returned and I don’t know why.

Pros: Ease of collection and drop off.

Cons: Our Topcar booking couldn't provide the car promised. We were offered a manual NOT an automatic. They offered us a free tank of petrol as compensation - when we drove the car away, it only had a quarter of a tank of petrol left. On returning the car, we were told to contact Head Office - I can't even find the right email address!

Pros: I was not happy with first choice of car and got another one very easily. Thank you

Cons: All fine

Pros: Efficiency, simplicity and location

Pros: Quick and easy pick up and drop off In terminal so very easy to find

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good quality price ratio

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the missing light on the ceiling. Was a mitsubishi space star red

Pros: TopCar clear in Fuerteventura Baggage Reclaim Area. Car easy to locate. Interior in very good condition.

Cons: External, lots of damage not marked up on the rental sheet. A thorough video and many pictures were taken before leaving the airport for our own peace of mind. Due to volume of marks/scratches etc it is uncomfortable handing the car back over.

Pros: I was charged twice for insurance so I am due a refund of 82 euros 🥂

Pros: Easy to book and to find in arrivals area

Pros: Very efficient service other than the time taken to do the paperwork when collecting the car due to long queues

Pros: New clean cars. Efficient drop off.

Cons: We stood in the queue to pick up the car for 1 hr 20 mins. this aggravated an ongoing health condition. This is unacceptable after a long journey. Had we been served promptly we would have driven to our destination in the day light.

Pros: They provided us with a good quality vehicle, the agent on collection was very friendly and helped us get the coverage we needed.

Pros: Value, location and drop off speed

Cons: Long queue at pick up counter - agent working for 3 companies including topcar

Pros: Friendly staff and a great car. The return was quick and smooth.

Cons: It took over an hour to collect the car. This was not any fault of the staf, who were really good and efficient, it was purely down to the amount of people waiting to collect vehicles.

Pros: Everything was fine

Cons: The queue at the airport to collect.

Pros: Efficient process for collecting and return

Cons: I thought I had ordered a small minibus and ended up with a 7 seater car, normally fine but with 3 large suitcases, it meant an uncomfortable journey for two of us x

Pros: They spoke fine English

Cons: Car cleaned by a person without interest in the customer experience at all :-(

Pros: Efficient and easy

Cons: Nothing to complain or make negative or constructive comment about

Pros: Value and efficiency of whole process

Cons: Car hasn't enough power to drive over mountain

Pros: I liked everything, especially that the agent was not pushy at all if it comes to extra insurance.

Cons: the long wait for the car collection. A lot of people is using this company hence the wait. it is probably because they are great value for money, though.

Pros: speed of all service

Cons: lower deposits

Cons: Temps d'attente très long à l'aéroport pour récupérer la voiture et le fait qu'ils aient encaissé la caution sans m'en informer, juste en me disant qu'il y avait deux façons de faire soit de prendre leur assurance ou pas.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Pretty quick and efficient. Would use again. Much better than Goldcar - which I will never use again.

Cons: Nothing. All good.

Cons: 1 hour wait at pick up. And they made me pay a late fee even though i was there 30 minutes before the late fee was due (as by the time i got to the front it was past 11pm). Not good practice

Pros: Overall, it's very cost-effective with a reasonable extra cover cost.

Cons: The drop-off process was rather intricate, and there was no option to drop off the keys during office hours. Instead, we had to wait in a queue for the inspection. Some people might prefer this method as it allows for a joint inspection with the agent, thus avoiding any unexpected issues later on.

Pros: Overall very helpful service

Cons: People should be aware the que for pick-up took an hour, which is far to long

Pros: Quick and easy, and a friendly service.

Pros: Upgraded car at no extra cost. Smooth process from desk to car.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Everything

Pros: Chip on windscreen. Car didn’t drive too smoothly.

Pros: Price over value.

Pros: Very easy to use agent very friendly

Pros: Friendly professional service

Cons: Unavoidable - wait time to collect car was long, but this is to be expected when you have several people landing at the same time all trying to collect their cars. The 2 representatives dealt with the queue as quickly as possible.

I contacted the Top Car office who stated they would provide another car (a 1 hour and a 1/2 round trip plus the waiting to get sorted of our holiday)which I thought was unreasonable. I asked if they would deliver a car to us and said they would but would take the £700 deposit which I thought was unacceptable so didn’t push the issue any further.
