Cons: They don't block the deposit amount on your credit card, they charge it, so when you get it back, you get less money because of currency exchat charges. Long story short I lost aroung £50 because of that.

Pros: The service provided by topcar was one of the best I have ever experienced. The staff at both the collection and drop off were extremely professional and helpful. If I have the opportunity I will definitely use them again.

The car was clean but windshield of the car was old, there was a lot of glare and it was difficult to drive driving during sunny hours.

Cons: Het mega lange wachten om de auto op te halen, ruim 1 1/2 uur bij de balie gestaan, de dame werkte zo tergend langzaam en niet efficiënt. En er werd gezegd alle kosten zijn inbegrepen maar of je nog wel even je eigen risico wilt afbetalen. Je vult thuis alle gegevens in inclusief creditcard en rijbewijs gegevens, of je bij de balie dit schriftelijk weer wilt doen. En dan gaat de dame handmatig alles verwerken in de pc, of een wel erg langzaam tempo.

Cons: We were told if we didn’t take extra insurance we’d have to leave a £500 deposit. We took the extra insurance. When we went to our car it was scuffed and dinted all around the car. We went to the staff and said we wanted it noting. He said have you taken the extra insurance? Yes we said. Then it’s fine don’t worry he said. All I can say is that if we didn’t take it, I dare say we would have been charged the deposit of £500.

Cons: There wasn't much of an inspection when picking up the car so had to make sure to picture all the evidence myself as though bigger dents in the car were listed there was a lot of big scratches to the car that were not, they didn't question them when I returned so I assume they don't care much about scratches

I did complain and got told I would receive no compensation despite paying more and getting less of a service and car. Recommend not using this company if you can avoid it!!!!

Cons: Was supposed to be a VW, got a Dacia (not an equivalent in my book) was the worst car I've ever driven, red fault light came on after 2 days, they wouldn't believe it was a red light, had to drive it back to the airport, 60km round trip and ended up with a Peugeot (again not a VW in my book)

It was only when they gradually moved away we could see a small sign on the desk saying to go around to the other side of the kiosk. We then had to join the very long queue on the other side.

Cons: Insurance arrangements are always confusing, I bought full insurance when booking but staff tried to sell me something extra. Don't undertsand why I had to sign a E500 deposit. It all feels like a scam to get us to buy something we don't need and makes car hire more difficult than it should be. It makes me feel suspicious of companies - actually all of them, not just you.

Pros: The car was available at the airport and it was not too busy either. I preferred that agent offered me additional insurance but did not push for it.

Cons: There was no information shared about the existing damage on the car, this is kept on the system and not shared with the rental customer which is silly. I had to take pictures of all scratches and dents instead of getting them all on a paper and look at exceptions. The cars were not very clean on the outside and the wiper did not clean the glass properly.

Cons: The car was a cheap budget car with very basic engine and terrible suspension and steering in the corners. Also was very dirty when picked up and full with scratches and damages.

Cons: A more efficient collection. In this day and age, paperwork should be gone and it should be tablet based. Uploading of ID and details of where you are staying could easily be obtained prior to the trip. Would speed up the collection process. An hour spent in a queue after travelling all day is the last thing you want to do.

Pros: Easy pick up and even easier drop off. Cars situated right at the airport. Car was clean and reliable. We opted for an upgrade at a very reasonable rate. Deposit was returned promptly.

Further, they provided a car that did not work properly. Less than 24 hours after hiring the car, it would not start. They sent a replacement car and have now charged me, essentially charging me for 2 cars because the first one they sent was no good.
