Pros: Nothing - it is a complete scam.

Cons: Total scam - not only the typical attempt to get more money (2x the cost for insurance), but they lied and said the car we reserved was in maintenance (found out later it wasn't), downgraded our car, and would not honor the contract we already had. Told me to go find another rental if I didn't pay twice the amount in my rental agreement. Was absolutely horrible person to deal with - fake friendly, but trying to scam and held the car hostage. Didn't allow me to record extensive damage on the car

Pros: The friendly welcome.

Cons: They gave us a car that stopped being legal to drive half way through our rental period. The subsequent communication trying to rectify the situation was very poor. We had to pretty much sort it ourselves by driving to their branch in Uvita in a car that wasn’t legal to drive. They gave us a different car which was legal to drive. They promised to bring the marchamo paperwork/badge to us and didn’t. They said they sent it to an airport but it never turned up. Very poor.

Cons: I cannot discourage enough future individuals to rent a car with this company. I showed up with a booking made over a month ago only to be told that no car was available for me. Still no refund issued from DiscoverCars, no apologies received from EC Rent a Car as well as no solution. What clearly happened is that MY car has been given to somebody else, probably a last minute booking that they could grant at a much higher price. Disgusting behaviour.

Cons: We had problem in company ... we booked car with full covered insurance on discovercars., but in rental company told us its not full covered and pushed us to buy another insurance directly from EC rental cars. Elso told us that if we have some issue with cars(problem with tyres, car accident etc.) they would dont help us and we need to ask discovercar and maybe they help us. We told them them we expected that discovercars and EC rental cars are partners but they rejected it...

Ours didn’t and they slid around: this is dangerous as they get stuck on gas and braking pedals; - don’t fill up the washer liquid with only water, as the car had been nicely cleaned the windscreen was greasy, when we left the rental station it was raining and spraying the windscreen made the vision even worse

Pros: Pick up to/from the airport, and hand off was very efficient. There was some extra insurance required for full peace of mind, as discovercars only covered up to £2600. This took the price up from the quoted £350 to £514 for 2 weeks, which I thought was still a good deal for a brand new SUV for 2 weeks.

Cons: The only reason I took one mark off is because the warning light was on, I think it was just because one of the tyre pressure sensors was faulty so not a big deal.

Pros: The shuttle to and from the airport was very efficient, drivers were friendly and helpful. Our check-in process was very efficient, and the staff was so helpful and nice. We arrived about an hour after our drop off time due to a road closure, and with communication through WhatsApp we were able to work it out and still make the airport on time. I recommend!

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 1575.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Tourism levy, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Insurance
The following type(s) of insurance: Third Party Liability (TPL) must provide a minimum coverage of 80 %.

Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Wi-Fi.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
