Pros: I like that there is little hassle. I have rented several cars at this location and it is not too bad. They do try to get you to pay extra for their insurance and at times I have to be a bit rigid when telling them no. Some agents are less aggressive than others. I think that there must be some commission when they do get a customer to take the extra insurance. I just use my credit cards coverage which has always worked for me.

Cons: Overly forceful insurance upsell. I use my credit card coverage and it works fine. Make sure that you bring a copy of the coverage offered by your card (paper copy) or they will try to get around letting you use your coverage.

Cons: Greedy to charge me an extra day when car was returned within my pre-paid 9 day term.

Pros: They lied and over charged me after I completed my payment in the U.S. by $646.00 U.S. dollars charging me almost double. When I read the reviews of Budget in Costa Rica I learned it operates illegally, scamming people when they come to pick up their cars leaving them with no other option. I will NEVER go with Budget. One review even said Budget in the U.S. keeps its distance from their CR location and never refunded them.

Cons: Budget over charged me by 646.00 after I completed my initial in full payment of 770.00. I want my refund asap! They are an unethical company and you will get ripped off. Do NOT book with Budget

Pros: Quick pick up and drop off

Cons: By the time we pre paid the full tank of gas, additional driver, all other mandatory insurance, and taxes we paid an additional $550 which was the the price we paid for the rental. The rental SUV that barely made it up hills with only 2 passengers on board!

Pros: Customer service was helpful

Cons: I paid more for insurance than the actual car. The car had absolutely no power smelled like sweat. It was not worth the money. Tires were unsafe they were bald and needed a 4x4.
