Autorent at Faro Airport

Pros: Speedy and efficient. No hard sell for additional insurance

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Best hire car ever everything was just perfect thank you for an amazing experience

Cons: Everything

Pros: The staff were really nice and helpful. Autorent seem to be the first car rental company I have used that don't appear to see their customers as cash machines.

Pros: The transer minibus was sat waiting for me on my arrival. The vehicle was also waiting for me at their depot so I was underway as quick as possible.

Cons: The only point, though I can understand it, was that when I arrived at 07:40 there were a number of other people also sat waiting to return vehicles - we had all been told it was ok to arrive before 8am but that was opening time. The two reps sat chatting in the office from about 07:55 but declined to turn the key in the door, which we could all see, until exactly 8am. Some people were frustraited waiting when they saw them basically killing time to 8am. There were then 16 waiting!

Pros: Quick and easy never have problems with car condition

Cons: Nothing

Pros: great service...very little waiting around

Pros: Seamless and easy process from beginning to return.

Pros: It was very efficient! Pick up driver was very helpful and waiting for us. Hepped with the bags and get troley for us which was absolutely outstanding! Also I have asked for a phone holder and it was provoded by Autorent without any issue! Thank you! Def recomend!

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good pick-up, drop-off and airport transfer

Cons: Unpleasant attitude about minor car damage, insurance and no help with car features

Pros: Stated above

Pros: Professional and helpful service by all the contact staff

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The agent was clear about all aspects of the agreement and was very fair about the additional charges for out of hours service.

Pros: No hassle service

Cons: Although we were flying in from England the computer system was set up for previous renters which was in German so we did not have radio or screen info for the rental period. New cars are all different dependant on manufacturer so would be nice if set up before pick up.

Pros: I have used Autorent many times first class company

Cons: Nothing

Pros: We were picked up immediately from Faro Airport and arrived at Autorent location within a couple of minutes. Check in was completed quickly and after an examination of the bodywork of our car we were on our way within 20 minutes. Our small car was clean and in good condition. Pros: Friendly and efficient

Cons: Nothing

Pros: As above

Cons: 8am opening and 8pm closing

Pros: Excellent car. Able to provide very early morning return (at a price).

Cons: Took over 2 hours from time arriving at the airport car rental stand to getting in the car. 45mins for the 5 minutely minibus to pick up, left with baby in hot temperatures with no shade in a car park waiting. Very Rude administrator to check in (other staff were lovely). Car seat was not installed and not set up for remotely the right age. Left to try and install a safety critical piece of equipment with no instructions, screw driver required to adjust seat for height of baby - very unsafe!

Car a little old and minor bumps but was fine for us.

Cons: Finding the shuttle bus at Faro airport (instructions just say car park 4 - it’s a massive car park and it wasn’t clear where to wait for the bus)

Pros: The mini bus was waiting for us at the airport. The pick up and return process was simple and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was no fuss, no hard sell insurance and the return process could not have been more straightforward so all good.

Pros: Car rental company Autorent offered an excellent vehicle - car was virtually brand new with 1K on the clock. On top of that a medium size car at a better cost than a mini from others. Staff were excellent.

Pros: Very good price compared to the global car rental companies. Larger car provided than requested. Professional and fast turnaround at the counter. Pros: The car was great value for money. I had accidentally strayed onto a toll road which I immediately left, they could have imposed a 25 euro charge but they checked on the Portuguese toll system which verified my story as the toll charge was actually 25 cents. They used common sense and took the 25 cent fee which I thought was proper customer service and fair on the circumstances.

Pros: Very efficient. Clear, friendly communication.

Cons: When we returned the car A different guy suggested we had done damage to a wheel but then said it was his colleague that had not marked it on the condition sheet . He said he would not charge us like he was doing us a favour ? It was not professional and soured the experience. We had returned the car in immaculate condition and it felt like a bit of a odd encounter ?

Cons: Location is a little away from the airpot but the shuttle service was excellent & very efficient.

Pros: Convenient location off airport. There wasn't a series of sums blocked against our credit. And - just the 1000 € xs. This was cancelled when we returned the car.

Pros: They provided a very good service. No problem at all.

Cons: They charged £35 because I had to drop off the car earlier. It was a bit expensive compared with the overall rental price in my opinion.
