Cons: It took over an hour and a half to collect the car, I wish I took a video of all the damage as there was tonnes, and I'm certain that they knew I had missed part of it on my inspection of the car and saw it as an opportunity to make money from the excess. Within 10 seconds, the person had walked to the other side of the vehicle and looked underneath to find a small scratch which was hardly noticeable.

Pros: Zero out of ten. Rude lady behind the desk. I followed the instructions and called from cell phone lot at LAX and waited 40 minutes and still no one showed to pick my family up and go to the rental store. Friend had to come pick us up.

Cons: We were told to take a bus to the cell phone lot and call for pickup--but no one answered! We left a message but never heard back. After many attempts, we finally took a Lyft. Being stranded in a parking lot on a busy road with kids was very nerve-wracking -- and worse, it made us wonder if there was going to be a car for us at all. Then we were told the manager had most of the keys and the only car available was smaller than we'd reserved. We eventually got an "upgrade" but overall thumbs down

Cons: We had the worst experience using Right Cars. We had a pick up time of 1PM. Right Cars service makes you take the Airport shuttle and stop at the remote car rental which is really just a parking lot. We waited for 43 minutes before a Right Car shuttle came in to pick us up. I called two different numbers provided by Right Cars continuously but no one received the call. The call would go on hold and then disconnect. Imagine waiting in a parking lot under LA hear with no one picking your call

Cons: Car given to me had chemical air freshener smell. When I told them about it they said they didn't do that. The car had 41K miles, bluetooth didn't work and air conditioner was awful. when I came back Sunday after no one called me back, they told me the car that was there was "rented to someone else" I asked if they were there like I was? Pros: no frills, no games, didn't try to talk me into extra insurance coverage, got me through the process as quickly as they could even when they were super busy. Shuttle driver and all persons I worked with were cordial, professional and friendly.

Cons: The shuttle service to the actual Right Cars building is extremely slow. In addition, the phone number they have posted everyone is unresponsive. The employees who work at that location pick up the phone and say "please hold" and hang up on you. The location is severely understaffed for the amount of customers they have. I would NOT recommend renting from Right Cars to anyone. It's worth it to pay more money and rent from a large company (i.e. Avis, Budget, Hertz, etc.).

Pros: It was a new car, and was the make and model that was promised. After dropping off the car, I was happy with the customer service offered to get us back to our hotel. Hopefully my deposit gets returned without any issues.
Cons: There were many other people getting rentals at the same time as I arrived, and they were not getting the cars that they were promised. Also, the deposit was a concern during my trip.
Pros: RightCars is an absolute joke. They nickel and dime customers for EVERYTHING. If you use the carpool/HOV lanes, they'll charge you $35 per instance. If you don't vacuum the car before returning it, they'll charge you $75. They don't carry insurance and will demand you provide them with your own insurance policy. They don't operate shuttles to LAX on a 24hr basis. Our departing flight left at 9am which is a fairly normal time. We still had to walk to Enterprise and beg them to drive us to LAX.
Cons: Staff was overly aggressive and rude. They had an "I told you so" kind of attitude. Very condescending to the customers. Also, two of the agents were openly mocking us - in Spanish - because they assumed an average white guy from middle America couldn't understand them.

Cons: Once we got dropped off at car rental depot, we waited 30 minutes for pickup from car rental company. Also took a hour to have the car set up and the condition of the car was below par with a broken windshield wiper. Company offered to find us a new car but at this point we were already behind time and needed to get on the road. Car was also quite loud to drive. When we returned our car we got nailed with a $75 cleaning fee due to a small amount of sand in the front seat.

Cons: Dropped off by the airport shuttle in a remote parking lot. Called several different numbers for RightCars to come pick us up, but never got to an actual agent, and the system continued to hang up on me. Stood in a hot parking lot for a very long time trying to talk to an actual person. Also, we reserved a small SUV, but none were on the lot when we arrived. We were given a car for the same price, and that should have been a reduced price. We received no discount.
Pros: At least they exchanged the first car, but gave no discount or whatsoever for all the inconveniences. Plus, I forgot a jacket in the first car and the claimed they never found it. Yeh right, they just kept it!
Cons: The first car was in really poor condition, full of dents and scratches, the seats dirty. It could barely go uphill! After a day, the air pressure light went on, then the engine one! I had to go back to the airport to exchange the car. The second one was a bit better, the seats still very dirty though. However, the front tires were so used, that they were probably illegal and dangerous. No user manual is provided, so you have to figure out how everything works. The tire pressure light went on.
Cons: I was charged 450.00 dollars for deposit and really had to pursue the car agent RightCars to get it back. They told me it would be refunded in 4-5 business days and this did not occur. Luckily I had my receipt still and was finally able to call and get my refund. It was hard to get through to the company also. When I would finally got through the agent would tell me they were to busy to talk and I had to call back. I would not rent from them again.
Pros: We eventually got a car and it ran fine (however change oil reminder was on when we rented the car and should have been dealt with before renting the car out).
Cons: Having to take two shuttles to get to the place (had to wait 45 minutes for the second shuttle), then spent and hour and a half waiting to get our car, car was dented, scratched, and needed an oil change. Also, unhappy with the security deposit not being returned yet, been several days since the car was returned and since they went through and found no damage done by us on the car, expected that to be processed as soon as car was returned.
Cons: Spent an hour waiting for shuttle bus. Rang them and they said they were on the way but never showed still. Had to walk with bags all the way to their office which took ages as it’s way way way out from the airport. Absolute joke.

Cons: RightCars gave no info about how to reach their office. Then, I waited 40 minutes for them to pick me up from the rental car center after I notified them I was at the rental car center. Then, when I finally arrived to the rental car office a full hour and 20 minutes after I began the journey, the customer service rep told me the driver was "picking up people from the airport" even though the van was empty. I was then late for pick-up, and she said 30 more minutes to wash the car. 2hrs+ pick-up!

Cons: Shuttle van was not there. Had to take a taxi out of pocket to get to the rental office. When I get to the office, the driver was playing on the phone, one girl was constantly talking on the phone. Had to wait another 30 min to get the car. Car’s tag was expired. Car had multiple dents and scrapes externally. Staff were not there on time to drop off car so I had to dropped off the car without a re-inspection. At this time, I still haven’t received my initial deposit of $450 & I WANT IT BACK!

Cons: This is the only rental car company I've ever been with that charged a $450 deposit to my card (not just a hold) in addition to the cost of the rental. I didn't get it back until nearly two weeks after my trip was over, after several emails to them.

Cons: Pretty much everything. When I arrived to pick up my car, I had to wait an entire hour for no apparent reason. When they finally got me to my car, it was idling outside the building, dirty, reeking of air freshener, obviously smoked in numerous times. It wasn't even full of gas. I had to go around the car with the attendant and note maybe two dozen different dings/dents/places of notable damage. Upon leaving the rental agency, the check engine light came on.
Pros: We were given a new car unlike other customers who were there complaining about their cars. That was the only bright spot.

Cons: On pick-up, the driver did not find us in the appointed place and I had to call back. We waited for an hour in the sun. We were told to get activation for toll roads when there were none. The car was dirty. The driver's side rear view mirror was held in place with paper stops. On the third day of a 10-day rental, the mirror fell off while we were driving on a LA Freeway. We then were in the dangerous situation of continuing with impaired visibility. We feel that we should get a rebate.

Cons: I had to google search the address to get a working phone number to get a shuttle to come pick me up. The workers don't want to deliver bad news, like "I don't know where the shuttle driver is" or "I have no idea how long it will be until you get a car" so they just lie and say "the driver is on his way and will be there in five minutes" "they're picking up the car now, it'll be here soon." All lies. The manager was interrupting the workers, the workers had no idea how to execute a contract.

Cons: Had to make a transfer to a parking lot and then call a driver to pick us up. Harder to transfer luggage twice before getting it into the rental car. Staff also was not very helpful- didn’t know we could switch drivers names without a problem (said she didn’t think we could before she called a manager at our request), also did not get my deposit refunded until I called 3wks later. They then gave me a hard time about trying to find record of the transaction. Still waiting for the refund.

Cons: They close at 8pm, which left my wife and I stranded at LAX with no rental car. There was no one to answer our calls. In retrospect I suppose we dodged a bullet as Right Cars reviews on Google and Yelp are awful. I got on the phone with Thirfty while my wife and I walked down Century Blvd to their building and was able to book a car by the time we got there. The experience with Thrifty was quick and pleasant, the polar opposite of our experience with Right Cars.

Cons: They tried to charge me again for things I already paid for, and were extremely rude when I showed them proof and made them call you to confirm I was already covered for insurance and toll pass. The car was damaged and filthy, no power windows, locks, or mirrors. The right side mirror wasn't functional so I had to adjust it by pushing the mirror around. The hold they put on your credit card clears, forcing you to get them to refund it, which they would have forgotten to do had I not asked.

In the information they had sent me they said to take the shuttle to a place where they where going to pick me up but they never answer and I had to take a Uber to a different rental place where I had to get a car and pay a lot more money for not having a reservation. Really bad service I don’t even think this is a really company. They did change my credit card but did not give any service.

Cons: The service was terrible. Just trying to get to the rental car office was an excruciating process. No one would answer the phone. When someone did answer the phone, they weren't helpful, and only gave partial instructions. Their shuttle was an Uber, which never showed. We ended up having to order our own Uber just to go pick up our rental car. Overall our total experience was terrible.

Coordination, reception, pick up, drop off seem to fall under the same responsibility of the 1-2 employees it has. Pick up service was odd had to take bus got dropped off at a secluded badly lite lot and then wait for an uber to pick us up and uber driver was unclear why picking us up and dropping us off. Drop off was unclear. in hurry to catch flight and seemed like looking for someone to drop us off.

I had the car ordered for 8am and this was about 7am. there was no answer and I left messages. After waiting for some time I began to walk and eventually caught a taxi to their office. When I arrived it was closed and I had to wait for abt an hour for them to turn up.

Then they brought out a car with 30+ dings and dents, 99k miles, no power windows or locks, that was filthy on the inside and smelt so bad we had to keep the windows down on the freeway. The car felt like it was having mechanical issues the entire trip and we were legitimately nervous it was going to break down at any moment. There was NO shuttle from the airport despite the website saying there was. Nothing was as advertised. Bad experience all around.

There wasn't a shuttle and I had to take an uber there, and then there wasn't even a car for me. Cons: worst rental car experience in 25 years. 77,000 mile beat up car. had to drive to a parking lot where they picked us up with Uber. couldn't fit luggage in uber. car had dents and damage all over it. a/c worked half the time. nobody at office in the morning when returned the car so had to leave it at the airport.
Cons: I was told to go to the cell phone lot and call and someone would be there in 5 minutes to pick me up. I called and got an answering machine and left the requested info. Stood in the rain and called 3 more times for 50 minutes. Ended up renting from a real car rental company. Called one more time to leave a message telling them I was canceling my reservation and got a real person who knew absolutely nothing, yes NOTHING. Told her that they better not charge me anything.

Cons: The rental car shuttle advertised did not exist. I took a taxi to the rental office. I waited for over an hour for my car after the agent told me it would be 20 minutes. She told me that the car was at another lot far away and that bad traffic was to blame for the delay. When I got the car finally I noticed that it had been parked across the street from the office the whole time. Not only did the agent not try to help but also lied about the reason for the delay

Cons: Cars only amenities was ac. Crank windows, dinged up, no automatic locks, two places to unlock with key, drivers door and hatch. I had to reach over to unlock the passenger and rear door for my family every time for a week. Car definitely not detailed.

Pros: Antonio was fantastic! Such a delightful person. He knew I was in a hurry and handled the inspection and drop off with ease and professionalism.
Cons: I had a bit of trouble getting to RightCars. My initial uber never arrived to pick me up from Lot C and I had to book my own. Thankfully, RightCars reimbursed me, but it was not as easy as a process as I would have liked.
Cons: Can't get any one over phone. I Don't know how to get from airport to rental place. I have to take another shuttle bus and walk 1 mile to the rental place. I have to wait for an hour because I don't have my insurance policy number which I didn't know I would need that information in order to rent a car. The contract shows I only need my license bad credit card. They almost cancel my reservation and make me go to another rental place. Very very disappointed

Cons: It was difficult to reach an agent. 50 mins later & 15 phone calls an agent finally picked up to tell me that the bus to pick me up was broken down & to take a taxi to the office. When I got the call there was still the smell of marijuana from prior renters. When I returned the car the agent at the desk was unable to locate my paperwork till I was about to leave.

So I book the car with discover car hire which has decent reviews and I get right cars which has absolutely terrible reviews. Never again

Cons: I was very surprised to be asked for my specific insurance policy number before I could sign out the car I had reserved. It took me some time before I could locate the policy number in my electronic records. I've never been asked for this information before in renting a car, and the need to have this detail available should be much more prominently displayed to customers when they are first making their arrangements on line.

Cons: State of the vehicle and information about the toll road opt out. Vehicle damaged and in poor condition, we had to keep inflating the tire, which needed replacement, no wiper fluid in vehicle. Less than 1/4 tank of fuel when first rented - inconvenient! Also we didn't think we would use toll roads but ended up on a toll road inadvertently. Much to our disappointment, we were unable to pay for the toll online and now are told that we have to pay a surcharge. Poorly communicated.
Cons: Always thought that economy car is a small car but not junk car. Right cars seem has different view on it. Original car hired died in two days with engine light came on. I had to rearrange my plans and had a replacement. Replacement car mechanic condition was even worse. Check engine light also came on in two days and suspension was in bad condition giving unsafe feeling on highway. It’s my first time I rented such terrible cars so I will stick with trusted car hire companies in future.

Leaving the airport to go to your location, then having to find another place nearby was very stressful. While we were there another couple was running into the same issues. Cons: Very very difficult to contact. They do not pick up their phones. On arrival their minibus was broken so no pickup to the office. But nobody told us. We spent a long & stressful time trying to contact them . We finally got a taxi to the office ( which they did reimburse us for). We also paid for an additional driver which should be free in the state of California. Our payment was not the same amount as shown on the invoice we received & there was no explanation.

Cons: No way to contact them while I was renting the vehicle. There was a $200 deposit and $20 express lane pass fee that I was unaware of when booking the rental. The car was clean and ran fine, but ZERO bells/whistles.

Cons: The picking up of the car after arrival process. You need to call a number to get instructions to get on bus to the cellular lot. After drop off you are to call for shuttle service. When I called they told me the shuttle service was down for the day and someone should have called me to let me know which they did not. Ended up needing to find a cab (which they did reimburse me for. Not a huge deal just an bit of an inconvenience. All worked out good in the end.
Cons: My flight was slightly delayed and the agency was closed when I arrived leaving my stranded and having to book with Alamo. I have never heard of a car rental company closing at 8pm and I was unable to contact any reps. Very disappointed.

They promised to return my amount as they failed to provide me the booked vechile but after multiple follow up they didn't return my amount. They charged me 276$ and 200$ for deposit but I didn't took any service from them. I raised a dispute case with my bank to get the money back. Their staff are also very rude with me.

Cons: This is an extremely unprofessional company. First off, when we arrived to the pick up point from LAX, we called rightcars to be picked up. We called about 50 times and the phone always went straight to voicemail. We had to spend our OWN money to get to rightcars and wasted an hour of our time. Also, the car we got was extremely horrible for the money we paid, to the point the side mirrors didn't even work and it was always risky driving that car because we couldn't see blind spots. Never again.

Then he finally answered and we had clearly woken him up. Still must verify charge

A big deposit was going to be put on my card for at least two days following the rental return, which contrary to what the man at the desk said, did not happen at the place I ended up renting from. My hold deposit still hasn't been returned. It was a wasted and stressful trip. I had to wait for the guy to get back from a run, in the meantime my ride was waiting to make sure everything was ok. I'm glad he did or I would've been stranded.
