Cons: We got a car that needed an oil change. The front desk representative was not helpful and gave me numerous problems. I was there much longer than expected.
Pros: relatively quick check in process
Cons: Discover did NOT tell me that Ace Rent a car would close at 8pm. My flight got delayed and i landed at 7:30pm. Took forever for the dual shuttle service to get me to Ace facility and they were closed Had to pay a cab $285 round trip (to and from hotel) come back and pick up the rental next morning.
Pros: I can’t think of anything.
Cons: It’s a scam operation where they hustle anyone walking in the door. Same experience from plenty of other people I talked with in the shuttle bus.

Cons: Ace Rent a Car is the slowest and worst rental company we’ve ever used. Now they’ve charged my card an extra $350 and I can’t get a hold of anyone to find out why

Cons: you have to have a bus or shuttle service that picks up curbside at the airport... it was very stressful, trying to figure out which LA-BUS LINE to take and it necessitated talking to many people until this was clear. Then, we waited in the glaring sun to board another van that would eventually bring us to ACE. Very time consuming and I will probably not use your service again for business travel...

Cons: Riding two vehicles to get to the place. Once the initial paperwork was finished it was a long wait to get the car.
Cons: We had to take two busses to get to the rental location. Once there, I stood in line for over 30 minutes waiting to speak to a representative. The car that we were given had a damaged tire, so we went back in to ask for a different vehicle. They gave us a new one right away, but it was an "upgrade" - an SUV instead of the mid-size car we had reserved. Since this new vehicle did not have an enclosed trunk, we felt that we couldn't leave any of our belongings in the car while sightseeing.
Cons: Everything. We paid for a compact Hyundai, we were given a rundown Dodge Caravan after waiting about 45 minutes. There were compact cars available in the lot, but they refused to give us the car we had previously requested.

Cons: Extremely long line waiting for check in at the rental facility - 30 people in line for two hours with only 2 staff people on hand, and one electronic agent. Very inconvenient. And 2 shuttle buses from LAX to the facilities = too much w kids.

Cons: It was pretty difficult to get to the location. We had a take a shuttle to a parking lot then wait for another shuttle from the company to take us there. I wish they had a pick up option to make it easier like with the rest of the companies at LAX.

Cons: Horrible LAX airport pickup service. You take an hourly public bus to an off airport pickup point for a further van ride to Ace. Would be better to grab the Sixt rental car van whose location is next door to Ace. To obtain the car, Ace wants to see proof of insurance or buy their Ace insurance. I phoned my insurance agency for insurance verification and the agent backed down as I went through their phone tree. Amateurish.

Pros: The slowest service of all time. The customer service representatives were nice, but it was the slowest experience I have ever had when renting a car. I would not use Ace again.

Cons: I did not liked that it took almost 2 hours to get the car. I reserved the car (mini Van) for 11:00am. I arrived to do all the administrative paperwork at 10:00 am. I received the car at 12:15pm. The ACE car reported that they gave me the car at 11:30 am but it was not true. I have a toddler whom I had entertained for two hours, family members waiting in the airport for 2hrs. One of the agents suggested to upgrade my rental because they did not have the van available. I am disappointed.

Cons: It took one hour in line to pick up, there were only 3 people in front of me. There was no person to help me there. You have to deal with an agent on a small tablet only that announces your personal info like credit card number and drivers license number so the whole lobby can hear it. The car had trash in the consols/dash, food that I found later due to the stench. They wanted the actual insurance card or they would charge you more, I have never been asked for anywhere. Also forced to upgrade.
Cons: Ace Rent a Car is predatory. Do not rent here. They have a gotcha insurance requirement, which is likely to cost an addition $20 per day and I waited in line for three hours to get to someone at the desk.

Cons: Surprise extra fee $115 for extra insurance the rep made me buy. I had my own car insurance and I paid with a credit card that also covered it but agent still made me buy more or he wouldn't let me have the car.
Pros: Ace treated me great from the beginning. I was explained ever step clearly by their rep. When I had a question they answered it to my satisfaction. I treated them with respect and they did the same.
Cons: They is nothing I can say bad about my experience. The first few minutes dictate where the experience goes. If you come off with respect, that is what you will get. Come off like you are more important than them you might be treated a little different. They are a cheaper alternative than the big rentals. So remember you chose them if you were so special and somebody you wouldn't rent from them.

Cons: There was only 1 real human to help. Many employees shuffling in and out of the mirrored back office (so of course you can't see them and get help). It felt extremely low budget and I was concerned about the process from start to finish.
Cons: My flight to LA was canceled due to Hurricane Ida destroying my hometown. I was not aware my flight was canceled until the free cancellation deadline with discovercars.com was past. I asked for a refund since this was beyond my control and was told no. I’m very disappointed and would very much appreciate some help when I didn’t even use the car.

Cons: DOUBLED my quoted cost for the rental in hidden fees, or other things pressured to add on. Took an hour and a half to get my car because there was only one person working in the front of house. The car was dirty and had LESS THAN a half tank of gas upon pick up. I pre-paid for gas so I wouldn't have to fill up before bringing it back, but because I started with less than a half tank to begin with I had to fill up twice before bringing it back anyway.
Pros: They were awful and tried their best to scam us by saying we had to pay for extra coverage or get our insurance to send over a declaration. Then they had a weird reason for not being able to provide a premium car on a debit card that is also a credit card. This is all on top of the two hour wait to get the car. The attendant was so rude. Shuttle guys were great.

Cons: Horrible check in process, I got charged extra fees even though I was told 0.00 was due at check in, it took them over an hour to get me checked in and I had to sign a bunch of paperwork twice for some reason? They overcharged me and then had to refund some money. What a disorganized mess. When I told the front desk that they were providing slow service the associate was super rude and told me that if I wanted a low price for a car I had to expect slow service. I was shocked at how rude he was.
Pros: The car was dirty! I told the guy from ACE who recorded it. All the seats completely dirty, the car was required to do the oil changr, and the tires were low.

Cons: It took an hour and a half to wait in line to receiving a car. Only one in person rep at the front desk, since the others were remote employees on monitors. They didn’t honor the car type I reserved and the car they provided had the front bumper detached on the side. Then as a replacement they tried to offer me a car that another customer returned because it smelled like marijuana, without cleaning it or fixing the problem.
Pros: The whole process was very quick and easy when I got to Ace. I was in and out in about 10 minutes
Cons: On the whole I was very impressed. The only downside is Ace does not provide a shuttle direct from the Airport to their lot so you have to take the Metro Green Line to the offsite rental agency lot and then catch the Ace Shuttle. When I returned the car I ended up just getting a Lyft back to the airport because the I couldn't wait for the Shuttle. I was there for over 20 minutes and the shuttle to return to the airport never arrived
Pros: Not a single thing. It was a total disappointment.
Cons: It was a horrible experience and the last one at that. I rather pay more and at least get good and honest service. FYI, I had to wait 45 min to then speak to someone through a monitor. During that wait I observed that literally every single person (4) before me in line had some sort of issue. None of them were happy, all of them were upset and outraged about the service. You might want to rethink your business strategy, because whatever you’re doing right now isn’t working for your costumers.
Cons: The car was poorly serviced and ended up needing a new battery. We had to take time out of our holiday to get it fixed. The Ace team were totally unhelpful through the whole experience.

A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): USA.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), proof of liability insurance.
This insurance must be valid in the following country(ies): USA.
USA - California residents must use their own Third Party Liability and Collision Damage Waiver insurance policies.
In case the customer does not have one of the insurances, mentioned above, the customer will need to purchase insurance at the counter.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Eurocard, Discover, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Only foreign renters are allowed to use the following payment method(s): Debit cards.
Maestro, Cash, Cheques, Diners, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
