Avec Rent A Car at Dalaman Airport

Cons: All the documentation and emails they sent me are in Turkish. At this point I have no idea if I'm getting my deposit back even though I've had 3 emails!!

Cons: They downgrade my car and charged me more than twice as much as the price on my booking from my credit card without informing me!

Pros: They helped me when a scammer tried to claim I was in an accident. Greatly appreciated.

Cons: Didn’t like the fact they have charged a deposit and been told it’ll be refunded to me 7 days after the car returned. Also they asked me to pay for insurance which I have already paid through discover cars online. Ended up paying more than online price. I wouldn’t recommend to friends and family.

Pros: It was nothing I liked the agent was abrupt and asked us to buy their insurance hulst we already bought full cover from discovery!

Cons: The agent threatened us as made us scared saying if you don’t buy the insurance from us and you have a small scratch we will take £7000 from your card. Also they didn’t let us know what we were signing for . And also they took my card details and charged the holding deposit normally this would be on hold and not charged.

Pros: We did not end up getting the car we booked from them. On arrival, after a very long journey from Cale Town to Dalaman, we were told the car we had booked was in for a service. They didn’t have another car in that category for us. We had to get a car from another rental company which cost us 180 Euro more! This is a lot of money! Plus it took much longer to check the vehicle out because of this and we had to drive in the dark. Avec refused to cover the additional cost or assist in any way.

Cons: long walk away to pick up car for 2 disabled passengers and luggage no nottification the collection of car area had changed to a long walk away from terminal that should have been advised however on the return of the car the agent saw our mobility issue and took us to departues by car we thanked them

Cons: They checked my passport as if they were immigration. I live in Turkey and have a Turkish ID card and never had to provide my passport and entry stamp. Not the friendliest. But got a brand new car which was nice

Pros: The service desk inside the airport and the staff there were fantastic,but the actual place where we picked the car up from was no more than a 6 maybe a 7 out of 10

Pros: Very helpful representative, simple process at the desk . On pick up of the car Avec staff took lots of pictures of the car on their iPads and on return of the car did the same . They then matched the photos re condition of the car so there’s no ambiguity about the car’s condition. Overall staff were very helpful.

Cons: Returning the car took a bit long because the parking lot in front of the place got full. Also, sending the digital code to my mail for some reason took a bit long. Every minute feels too long when you need to catch a flight

Pros: Not only was the car exceptionally clean but the representative made sure to air condition it put on nice music and provide water bottles.. also the pickup drop off was very convenient

Cons: The car we had did have a problem connecting with Airplay at times. Could have been the cable used so possibly not the cars issue. Worth checking the car tho.
