Cons: There was no agent at the international airport so I wasted half an hour phoning from the desk to get automated messages and then finally speaking to an agent at the Gold Coast who said he would email the domestic terminal to get someone to come over - it was very frustrating!

Pros: The international service desk was unattended, spent 30 minutes phoning the number at the desk, eventually had to spend $5.10 to catch a train to domestic terminal to puck up the rental. The unattended signage was ambiguous. And on return, no car parks had to double park....

Pros: All pretty good except the boot cover was missing. Had to drive around with 3 suit case being visible

Cons: Everything Pathetic service No one on the service desk, no one answering any phones, no sign or message to advise where to find someone to help An hour and a half later on about the 5th phone call attempt we find out we need to transfer to Domestic Terminal to get a vehicle but guess what ! The car I had booked was not available so ended up with a bloody people move. 2 hours wasted when you arrive off an international flight is just pathetic. Having staff blame it on Covid is even worse!

Pros: The in car JPS was not registered, so they gave us Tommy GPS free, but it didn't work either, however, their compassion for our late arrival and efforts to get us to our stay was absolutely amazing! The heads up about local events happening was insightful and helpful, and well enjoyed. Great staff!

Pros: There were scuff marks around both rear wheels and Alamo didn't try to scam extra money out of me. A tactic I've experienced from other rental companies.

Cons: We needed a slightly bigger car to fit all our luggage in we were all squished up . And dropping it off was a bit harder as we weren’t sure where to park it and no one was in the office when we dropped it off . But it did get sorted .

Cons: They didn't have any of my details (address, phone etc) in their system as apparently they don't get provided to them by the third party booking agent. Seems like an area of improvement for discovercars

Pros: Really happy with Alamo. At first I was not pleased with the age of the car I had rented however for just $10 more a day we got an amazing one. Pretty happy with the reasonable upgrade and resolution 😃 service was great! At the end of the day they just wanted to ensure I was happy. Great management and staff

Pros: The ease of picking up the vehicle from the airport without the need for shuttle transport

Cons: The person that served us at pick up was quite rude, gave us the wrong information on our paper work and verbally. We hired a 12 seater bus and she told us to bring it back full of regular petrol, we asked and she reaffirmed this. Paperwork also stated this, it was extremely obvious it was a diesel engine. We filled it correctly and passed the feedback on at drop off. It could have been a disaster

Pros: Our Qantas flight was cancelled and we were moved to a later arriving flight. I called Alamo and was told the flight would arrive after the office had closed and my options were to cancel the booking or make our own way to the hotel and return in the morning to collect the car. I asked if the key could be left with another car company that stayed open later for us to collect or left on the wheel of the vehicle . None of these options were possible. Appalling service.

Cons: The confirmation details sent me to the international terminal, to which there was a sign at the international desk saying to go back to the domestic terminal desk. Very annoying with 4 kids in tow.

Cons: They had a policy that meant because I live too close to them I have to pay $1000 deposit, no one told me this until I arrived at the international airport at 9pm to pick up my car.

Pros: I found the staff member on duty very helpful and accommodating. I originally booked a 2 door vehicle and despite the lack of availability of a replacement due to the time the vehicle was collected, the staff member made every effort to provide an alternative option. This is customer service at its best.
