Big Boy Car Rentals at Brisbane Airport

Pros: Unfortunately the rental did not take place as they refused to honour the terms of the sale so I was unable to find anything to like in those circumstances

Cons: I strongly advise avoiding Big Boy Rentals. My experience with them has been appalling and is now the subject of a formal ACCC complaint and pending civil action. Despite having already paid for full insurance coverage through the booking platform, Big Boy Rentals refused to recognise the insurance policy I had paid for, insisting that I either purchase their insurance or face a $5,000 excess. Pros: Cheap as chips car hire

Cons: Car was definitely not cleaned before collection. Interior floor dirty and supermarket receipts in the console. Dashboard screens were dirty, and the fuel was not a full tank so was unsure how much to refuel before I returned the car. A bit dodgy.

Pros: The car had very obvious damage on the passenger side front and side panel plus lots of small marks all over. The car needed a vacuum and possibly a steam clean of the carpet due to the smell

Cons: The staff at the pick up location were not knowledgable about my booking particularly in relation to the full cover purchased. This made me feel a bit nervous if anything happened fortunately we had a smooth trip and no issues with the car

Pros: I was extremely disappointed with receiving an MG as my car. I specifically called and requested a Hyundai i model and that I did not want an MG and I was assured I’d have that upon collection. That was not the case, it had been hired out prior to my arrival. I was not happy about this and i later called the company requesting for a swap or even an upgrade, i was told the manager would call me back but i did not receive a call from anyone. I continued to drive the horrible MG for 8 more days.

Cons: This is what let down your companies service- care factor about my request was zero! Not very good service by half.

Cons: I asked for a medium sized sedan. I got a small hatchback that was dirty inside & out. No rubbish inside but dirty seats & floors. Lots of scratches, bird poop & dirt on the car.

Pros: Friendly and efficient from Des at the reservation desk to Jim the return shuttle driver (I didn't get the pick up driver's name but he was just as friendly and efficient)

Pros: 24/7 service really had be intrigued in a good way, knowing i could get an early hour flight and still be able to hire or get a car.

Pros: The reception staff and the drivers were all really efficient and friendly and gave clear information.

Pros: They were nice and friendly. The customer service when we dropped off the car was confident, looked like she knew what she was doing and made the process easy.

Cons: Lack of communication between the customer service rep and the front desk people. Saying the car was ok even though the low pressure alert kept showing.
