We were in Perth for my son's wedding at Araluen Golf Resort which was a great venue. The Araluen Botanic Park is right next door and we went to the Tulip Festival. The gardens are lovely, unfortunately not all the tulips were blossoming but it is still worth a visit any time.
The Aquarium at Hillarys Boat Harbour was good, and we saw whales off one of the beaches in Fremantle. The Fremantle markets are very interesting and you can get a great coffee at one of the entrances (can't remember his name)
One for the craft enthusiast, Spotlight, a huge craft shop which I could have happily spent a few hours at.
Loads of food courts and restaurants, choosing was very hard!

Thanks to having the freedom of a car we made our own plans and as a result saw two stunning sunsets at Uluru, drove round this amazing wonder of nature, watched a dingo as he looked for food, walked at The Valley of the Winds and saw sunset there too. All in a couple of days.

Took the Midland Highway with stop offs at Oatlands (Callington Mill very interesting) and Ross (beautiful bridge).
Launceston & the Tamar Valley was easy to drive around. We visited the Cataract Gorge for lively walks & chairlift. We also visited the Platypus & Echidna House (amazing) at Beauty Point, drove across Batman Bridge and up to Low Head Lighthouse. Launceston is a nice city to wander around. We ate by the harbour in the Spice Lounge which was excellent. A drive across to St Helens then down the coast via Freycinet to Swansea. A scenic drive with lots of inlets & beaches to see. We stopped at Bicheno Blowhole which was great. In Freycinet National Park we walked to the Wineglass Lookout with beautiful views, and drove to Tourville Cape where there is a circular walk around the lighthouse with stunning views. A drive bavk around the bay to Swansea: a pleasant seaside town with a nice short walk around the coastline and town. Bark Mill restaurant served us an excellent evening meal. Beautiful place to see the sunrise. On to Port Arthur via the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, well worth a visit yo learn about these endangered animals. Port Arthur Historical Site is a must-do if you are in this area. If you have time, do visit the Remarkable Caves which is a short drive south from Port Arthur Historical Site. There is a viewing platform to watch the waves roll in through the caves. We stayed overnight at the Fox & Hounds which was very good.
