Pros: When dropping off the agent was really friendly helpful and efficient

Cons: When picking up the agents just didn't seem to really treat you like a valued customer. They didn't explain things very well, bit snotty about the fact we had already bought insurance. Said it was cheaper for us to drop the car off empty but not why

Cons: The car was only 90% full of fuel but I wasn’t told this and I didn’t notice until I had done a number of miles. Hence I filled up at the end of the rental and spent more than I should have done. When I dropped off the car the agent that dealt with the return said that in his notes it said only 90% full. So not happy about it but nothing I can do now. Would probably not use thrifty again.

Cons: The insurance option, I had taken the insurance to ensure that I do not have hassle but it was disappointing to know that it was third party so in case something happened would have been hassle. Thrifty desk not at airport so getting there was hassle When returning car had to wait a lot and make couple of trip up and down

Pros: The large 7 seater we reserved wasn't ready on site at airport. Got driven out in bus to offside car park, not great as travelling with a disabled passenger. Given a 5 seater estate that wasn't big enough. Had to wait for another car to come from airport. Was such a tight fit for us and nor what we were expecting. Settled for the 2nd car as had 3 kids. Very disappointing

Cons: If you rent direct, you get to pick up the car are the terminal, if you use an agency then you have to get a shuttle bus off site to pick up.

Cons: Whinging customers, especially some guy that was shouting at the service people that clearly didn't deserve it because the guy screwed up his own reservation. But they were professional even as this customers arrogrance prompted words from myself.

Pros: A very quick return - absolutely hassle free (less than a minute).

Cons: I returned a car with another operator and had to go back to the airport to fill the paper work before I was able to get back to the pick up location (it's highly inefficient and time consuming).

Pros: Easy. Efficient service. No “over-selling” of insurance (I have my own excess insurance policy). Friendly staff.

Cons: Drop-off was a bit sketchy. Signage at airport is non-existent. No key-drop at rental booth. But chap at rental desk in airport terminal handled key-return without hesitation. If you’re dropping off very early, make sure to give yourself 15-20 min extra for shlepping around.
