All car rental companies in Terminal 1 at Dublin Airport have temporarily closed their rental counters and Terminal 1 shuttle bus services.
All car rentals are now being managed at the car rental counters in Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport. Terminal 1 is a 5 minute walk from Terminal 2.
In Terminal 2 please follow the signs for 'Car Hire’ where the Europcar team will be waiting to help you. If you need additional assistance on arrival, please call +353 1 8122800.

Pros: The staff were delightful, knowledgeable and professional. One particular staff member, Sean, was extraordinarily helpful. A credit to Europcar.

Pros: The agents service the people
Cons: According to the agents the system had issues and the time to pick up a car was more than 1 hour (excluding the time to transfer fr the airport to the pick up location (also to the airport premises))

Pros: Worse experience I have ever had. I ended up paying twice the price agreed with discover car as europcar would not except discovery car insurance

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1500.00), Theft Protection, Airport surcharge, Third Party Liability.

A Young driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
UK customers must bring their DVLA check code along with their photo ID. This check code can be obtained from the DVLA website.
UK residents that hold a non-UK licence may drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the time they become a resident. After 12 months, the overseas licence will be deemed illegal in the UK and it must be exchanged for the UK equivalent.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
