When I asked why the car that I had booked and paid for wasn’t available the staff member became rude and just said speak to my booking agent. We learnt during pick-up that we could opt to pay an additional fee of about €80 if we did not eant to pay €3500 deposit. Would be best if this was stated in the ticket provided by discovercars early 3. The Volvo V60 we booked was not available. Since “or similar” was stated in the offer page, we were offered a Sangyong!!

He added 3 and said it’ll be fine. I drove the car twice and it was left in a v safe place. When I got back they told me there was damage to the tire and I had to pay for it. The car was in poor condition, oil light on, service light on, rattling a bit - clearly used a lot. I didn’t damage anything on that car. Classic scam.

Cons: Impossible to find “zone 18” at the airport. Shuttle to car rental dirty and driver rude. Offices in a very run down location. Toilet was foul - dirty and there was half eaten food and rubbish stacked up. Had to pay more money at the rental office when we got there in order to not have to leave a £2900 deposit which we felt very uneasy to do as the whole operation felt incredibly dodgy. Dropped the car back early to get rid of it asap and so we didn’t have to use the shuttle, used taxi.

Pros: The quality of the car was excellent and the price was affordable

Cons: Only a slight inconvenience that they are located off site if you are in a massive rush but they are just outside the airport and the shuttle service was quick and easy. You phone the office when you’ve landed and they’ll give you a meeting point. The benefit is that it is a small office and there is no searching for your car in a large car park once you’ve checked in. There is a gas station just 50m away which is convenient.

Then when I dropped the car off they tried to pin a busted hubcap on me, and when I asked if they had taken before pictures they said yes and then wouldn’t show me. I chose Easirent because it seemed cost effective, then I was conned into spending 3x what I had expected.

We got a kia SUV that did not fit all of our luggage in the back. One suitcase had to be put in the backseat for the 5 hour drive. Quite uncomfortable.

Cons: The car was dirty with stains all over it, the windshield wipers were falling off and did not work and it rained every day, so we could not see out of the windshield. The brake pedal rubber was gone and so the brake slipped easily with wet shoes. The van was the cheapest most basic model possible, which didn't even have a way to adjust mirrors without pushing by hand. We wasted over 3hrs trying to pick up the car and waiting for it to arrive at our location because it wasn't ready.

When we asked to the Easirent personnel to receive the missing equipment he said that it was not necessary, that the irish rules don't oblige to have it available and even other rental companies don't make available this equipment. No words to comment this serious disservice that put us in a risky situation in case of accident or check by the police as well as no words for the reply to our legitimate claim

It's a poor arrangement between agency and provider that created additional paperwork for passengers who’ve been flying all night

Cons: Easirent was unhelpful, charged me almost double with insurance and was just generally shady feeling too work with. Did not seem to care about customer experience at all.

It was very stressful and we had no way of checking if an additional €40 per day on top of the insurance we already chose was actually correct. The car was dirty, windscreen filthy, missing hub cap and WORST issue - the fuel was less than half full! Big good at 10pm driving to Kerry.

When I arrived to pick up the car, they told me I had to book a supplementary assurance, that they didn't recognise the insurance I already booked. In case of damage I would have to do myself all the paper work etc. I hearded discussions with people leaving their car. So to avoid all troubles I took a supplementary expensive assurance. Overall the car did cost me more than with a better rated other company.

Cons: My booking was cancelled and left me stranded and carless because my flight was delayed an hour and I had no way of contacting them letting them know. I was not able to reinstate the booking and was told there were no cars available anymore. I was hung up on when trying to sort this out and 2 of the 3 people I spoke to at Easirent were rude and unhelpful

This meant that large numbers of people were stood at the desk finding/filling out paper (that I have never had to do with other companies. Such as a DVLA check code?!). This lead to a massive queue which took over an hour and a half. They then try and sell you extra insurance. The most bizarre thing is that they charge you a non negotiable 10€ admin fee to go through a 2€ toll!!!! Would not recommend!!!!

However, the rental car was new and very satisfactory, except that the owner's manual had been removed and several features of the car took time to figure out. I was rushed from the lot because cars were being shuffled. You should leave the manual in the car to help for proper operation.

Cons: Service was the poorest I have ever experienced in the initial pick up of a car for rental. The process of getting picked up at the airport was ridiculous. Difficult to find the pickup location. Called the office twice for help. About 20 people waiting in the rain for pickup. Van not adequate. Office is small and poorly staffed, especially for a crowd. Car staging area tiny and I was rushed to leave before familiarization with the car because of activity of returns and rentals.

Cons: You need to have signs to indicate where the car return area is and have it available on GPS! When we booked, we were assured that we had paid for adequate insurance, but we got nailed for another almost 400 eu upon arrival. This is wrong, we will not rent from you again.

Cons: They have 1 minivan to pick up people at the airport. the pickup spot is 200 yards from the terminal and is poorly marked by the airport. They have 1 van and it took an hour to get a pickup and we apparently jumped in line ahead of people waiting 30 minutes longer without knowing. The trailer setup looks like something out of Deliverance and I expected Irish banjo's to start playing. We rented an Audi wagon and got some sort of Korean Ssaapang SUV that while ok, was not what we paid for.

Cons: Tried to upsell me their extended insurance, at a cost of Euro 384 even tho I paid for the excess insurance on booking. They didn't tell me about a known faulty sensor that had the oil warning light on and I had to double back to the depot after I left, at 10pm off a 30 hour trip, Also they didn't tell me, until I commented that the tank was only 1/2 full, that it was like-for-like on the fuel - booking site said out full, back full. Otherwise quite happy with them, would book again

Cons: Easirent forced us to pay for insurance through only accepting a credit card with the main driver's name to pay a deposit. The people at the desk refused to give any flexibility. The pick up from the airport was difficult to find and the driver made us wait 20 minutes even though he was just waiting a few meters away. The tank level was changed from full tank on the booking to 1/4 tank at collection.

Pros: They cancelled my car without notification since my flight was delayed for more than 2 hours and couldn’t make any alternate arrangements that left me stranded at airport at midnight.

The person at the desk claimed that the additional driver would be more expensive than the booking. After several minutes of arguing he managed to get the additional driver for the price which I had booked. The car was new but had no insurance discs displayed. This is illegal and could have gotten me into serious trouble with police.

I had a flight delay, was unable to contact them as it was not within business hours, so they cancelled me and rented my reserved car. I needed an automatic and they had none left by the time I arrived In Ireland. I had to go with hertz for a rental, which cost me a lot of extra money. The agency has not refunded my deposit. The agency is also not at the airport and requires a shuttle to reach. I would avoid.
