Cons: The car had no oil in it which was extremely dangerous and unacceptable. The check oil light came on within minutes of leaving the hard to find location. The mechanic who checked it for me was in disbelief as there was literally no oil in the car which shows the car rental company were negligent. Furthermore the tire pressures were off and we ended up stranded with a flat. There was a small nail in the tire that may well have been there when I picked the car up. I had to pay to fix it

Would be best if this was stated in the ticket provided by discovercars early 3. The Volvo V60 we booked was not available. Since “or similar” was stated in the offer page, we were offered a Sangyong!!

He added 3 and said it’ll be fine. I drove the car twice and it was left in a v safe place. When I got back they told me there was damage to the tire and I had to pay for it. The car was in poor condition, oil light on, service light on, rattling a bit - clearly used a lot. I didn’t damage anything on that car. Classic scam.

Toilet was foul - dirty and there was half eaten food and rubbish stacked up. Had to pay more money at the rental office when we got there in order to not have to leave a £2900 deposit which we felt very uneasy to do as the whole operation felt incredibly dodgy. Dropped the car back early to get rid of it asap and so we didn’t have to use the shuttle, used taxi.

Pros: The quality of the car was excellent and the price was affordable

Cons: Only a slight inconvenience that they are located off site if you are in a massive rush but they are just outside the airport and the shuttle service was quick and easy. You phone the office when you’ve landed and they’ll give you a meeting point. The benefit is that it is a small office and there is no searching for your car in a large car park once you’ve checked in. There is a gas station just 50m away which is convenient.

Then when I dropped the car off they tried to pin a busted hubcap on me, and when I asked if they had taken before pictures they said yes and then wouldn’t show me. I chose Easirent because it seemed cost effective, then I was conned into spending 3x what I had expected.

We got a kia SUV that did not fit all of our luggage in the back. One suitcase had to be put in the backseat for the 5 hour drive. Quite uncomfortable.

Cons: The car was dirty with stains all over it, the windshield wipers were falling off and did not work and it rained every day, so we could not see out of the windshield. The brake pedal rubber was gone and so the brake slipped easily with wet shoes. The van was the cheapest most basic model possible, which didn't even have a way to adjust mirrors without pushing by hand. We wasted over 3hrs trying to pick up the car and waiting for it to arrive at our location because it wasn't ready.

When we asked to the Easirent personnel to receive the missing equipment he said that it was not necessary, that the irish rules don't oblige to have it available and even other rental companies don't make available this equipment. No words to comment this serious disservice that put us in a risky situation in case of accident or check by the police as well as no words for the reply to our legitimate claim

However, the rental car was new and very satisfactory, except that the owner's manual had been removed and several features of the car took time to figure out. I was rushed from the lot because cars were being shuffled. You should leave the manual in the car to help for proper operation.

Cons: Service was the poorest I have ever experienced in the initial pick up of a car for rental. The process of getting picked up at the airport was ridiculous. Difficult to find the pickup location. Called the office twice for help. About 20 people waiting in the rain for pickup. Van not adequate. Office is small and poorly staffed, especially for a crowd. Car staging area tiny and I was rushed to leave before familiarization with the car because of activity of returns and rentals.

Cons: They have 1 minivan to pick up people at the airport. the pickup spot is 200 yards from the terminal and is poorly marked by the airport. They have 1 van and it took an hour to get a pickup and we apparently jumped in line ahead of people waiting 30 minutes longer without knowing. The trailer setup looks like something out of Deliverance and I expected Irish banjo's to start playing. We rented an Audi wagon and got some sort of Korean Ssaapang SUV that while ok, was not what we paid for.

They didn't tell me about a known faulty sensor that had the oil warning light on and I had to double back to the depot after I left, at 10pm off a 30 hour trip, Also they didn't tell me, until I commented that the tank was only 1/2 full, that it was like-for-like on the fuel - booking site said out full, back full. Otherwise quite happy with them, would book again
