Cons: The agent was rude and quoted new terms that weren’t included in DiscoverCars T&Cs (wouldn’t let us pay for Children’s car seats on a debit card, and then put the deposit on a credit card) apparently it all had to be on one card even though it was two separate transactions. The car it’s self was poor - we booked a well known SUV and got a cheap brand we had never heard of (SWM), one of the headlights didn’t work, no screen wash. They didn’t care when we returned it.

Cons: The car showed a message all the time saying that a revision was pending; about 100km after starting the rental, an alarm sounded prompting us to complete the refrigerator liquid, which we had to do immediately, because its level was really low. Last but not least, we had to change all our trip plans, because there was a limitation of where the car could go (only Spain, Andorra and France), but this had never been stated in the reservation docs - this information only came out at pick up!
Pros: Nothing, just a disaster from start to finish of collecting the car. Recordgo went out of their way to charge us for everything possible. They committed via email to a free car seat then charged me £120 for it. They at no point informed me cross boarder charges would apply but again sacked another £160 onto the bill. We are in debt as a result of this awful experience. The customer service was appalling! The car condition was absolutely horrendous, it was smashed in, we were embarrassed!

The car was filthy outside including vomits on the front bumper and lots of bird shit in the back. Agent at pickup was rude and did not have time to inspect the car nor to talk to the DiscoverCars service, nor to sign the damage list that I've updated. There was no tire rapair kit not spare tire despite it was listed. Scammers!

Cons: Horrible customer service, they have re-rented the vehicle that contains my spouse’s wallet twice since “promising” to check under the front seat for it. They would not contact the renter who rented the car 20 minutes after we returned it o that we could ask them to look under the seat.

Cons: When I got to the rental company to pick up the car at the airport, it turned out that the reserved economy class car was not avaible. Only higher class cars were avaible. Since there were five of us, a cheaper 4-seater car was out of the question. I was forced to rent a more expensive car, which cost me 10 eur more for each day of rental. Since the reserved car was not avaible due to the fault of the rental company, a larger car should have been made avaible at the price of the reserved car
Cons: The pickup took over an hour of waiting. The process itself included filling out a form with a pen - with information already provided through the online booking. It took forever combined with a lot of other typing by the rental agent. A rental company in 2024 should have more digitalized processes and have a focus on optimization.

There needs to be 'truth in advertising' about this -- either the insurance from Discover shouldn't be offered if it isn't 'full coverage' or the rental agents should not make clients fearful of renting the car because they didn't use RecordGo insurance

Cons: Gave us a car without any documentation - that caused theft of all our belongings because the (i'm loathe to call it this) smart key - automatically opened the boot - without any indication (no horn or lights) when with 5 metres of the boot. The RecordGo staff on return of the vehicle were unaware 'oh....i didnt know that').....lotta f*n good. The only people in my eyes lower than RecordGo are the Spanish Police - who despite knowing where our belongings were - wouldnt do anything.

Cons: The explanation of excess was poor, they’ve taken €1200 from my account which will take up to 30 days to refund, which is just poor, I opted for full to full, despite this they also have taken nearly €100 as a deposit, which again will take up to 7 days to refund. Just sharp practice and not at all good. I was disappointed with this as it’s all unnecessary.

Cons: Car had almost no oil in the engine. Oil warning light illuminated on day 2. Tried to contact their service department. Three calls (logged) not answered after waiting for 8.45 minutes. Resorted to buying 3l of oil (recommended by local garage) for Euros 54. On return was told that the cost of the oil would be refunded, as I had a receipt. Now Recordgo are refusing to refund. I saved them the cost of a siezed engine. Now I wish that the engine had seized which would have cost them a lot more.

Then changed car for a fiat 500 hybrid that direction was damaged but would run, the steering wheel was turned to side when going straif and left week would skid as it was wonky. Upon return refunded me the petrol deposit of the small car 68.88 instead of the 87.90 that charged me for the original car. They still have not refunded me the 19 euro

Cons: I booked hybrid car and they gave me diesel car as hybrid wasn't available. Car they gave me all dashboard was in Chinese I asked to change language to English and they didn't know how. I had to spend 20min inside the car to look on YouTube how to change dashboard to English language. As well they gave me car with tyre air pressure light on and when I asked to check why is on they told me all cars they use have this issue. Later I discovered tyre was loosing air.

A significant amount of money (far exceeding the replacement cost of that tiny window) has been taken from my credit card. I bought the car rental fully comprehensive via your website. I have not received a break down from Record Cars in order to claim this money back so without this I have no way of claiming this back!!!

In the end , they charged me $117 cad for gas and they told me that I will get the $ back
Pros: The only negative was an situation where the display froze and we couldn't connect or charge our phones which made navigation challenging but it resolved itself. We emailed and didn't get an email back until days later when it was no longer a problem.

Cons: The service provided by RecordGo was exceptional. I just would like to make a small comment about the car itself in case it helps. The issue is that almost didn't use the car's cruise control, which made the long rides a little unpleasant and tiring, because the engine wasn't very powerful so the car accelerated too much constantly, with the resulting "wear-and-tear" of the engine, and much higher gas consumption, which defeats the goal of being an hybrid engine.

Pros: The car we were allocated had clearly been in an accident. There was a large dent in the drivers door and the door handle was missing. There were various other dents and major scrapes all over it. After 2 hours they eventually swapped the car for another one with less damage. The representative insisted we had to pay another 35 euros to get a different car. We had to go to find other Revordgo staff to sort this out. The 2nd car needed adblue added.

Rental Conditions
Please check the Rental Conditions for each vehicle prior to booking as some conditions, particularly the deposit and deductible, may vary based on the class of vehicle.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
Customers not resident in EU countries are required to present the following document(s): International Driving Permit (IDP) in order to collect the car.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
All documents must be issued in the same country.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, local address (apartment; hotel; villa; etc.).
If the renter is not the main driver, the following coverage is mandatory: Total Comfort Cover.
A deposit of 80 EUR to 81 EUR is required for the tank of fuel upon picking up the vehicle.
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off. A deposit will be charged if one of the following cards is used: Debit cards.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.
Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
It is allowed to add up to 3 additional drivers.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
There is an additional refueling fee which will not be refunded.
Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
For electric vehicles: the customer will receive the vehicle totally charged, and it is NOT necessary to return it with a full charge.
At time of drop off, customers should return the vehicle with a full tank and be able to show the gas station receipt confirming they have filled the tank, in order for the fuel deposit to be refunded.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 60 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
The grace period will be honored only during business hours.
