Pros: It is cheap.

Cons: During return they tried to find things to charge since I have not taken an insurance. There was a missing rare parcel shelf apparently which was not there when the car was rented. The return agent was very unhelpful and rude.

El día de la recogida del vehículo, fui atendido por una empleada cuyo trato resultó extremadamente desagradable y poco profesional. Viajaba acompañado de mi esposa, mi hija de 12 años y mi hijo de tan solo 3 meses, por lo que la situación fue especialmente estresante

Cons: A one year old car with many damages on it - I picked it up in the dark so did not notice stains on passenger seat- I managed to buy a cleaner and clean this myself so I would not be charged for damage not caused by me - so why cant the car company do this??? Also, I was given a Fiat 500 (horrible vehicle)which had no android auto connection - that is a minimum that I expect from a rental

Cons: Pick up time is excessively long, i.e. very long waiting time. Also, it appeared that despite having selected a full coverage at DiscoverCars this was not valid with GoldCar. Hence, an extra insurance was required. We perceive we paid twice for having full coverage.

She said he is shouting on her and canceled MY(!!!) reservation, as result I was forced to pay 388 eur instead of 70eur

Car booked was Renault Megane. Given a DR car instead. Rubbish Chinese car. Very underpowered engine and had to push hard especially climbing into the mountains. As a result petrol consumption was heavy!

Cons: When i arrived they said they didnt have a car in the size i'd booked. Said i could have a bigger size but have to pay extra. I said no so they sent me to another terminal to get a car. It took a ages and involved getting a bus. 2. They asked if I wanted their excess insurance. I said no because I'd arranged my own but they added it to the bill anyway. When I pointed this out it took a very long time to remove the charge.

Pros: Absolutely abysmal service from start the finish. Desk staff delaying signing contract for over an hour.sent us to the wrong place, staff rude at point of picking car up and upon returning car also rude, difficult and tried to accuse us of damage we knew we hadn’t caused.

Also tried to get us to sign the contract in Spanish after trying to charge us for damage we didn’t cause. Not sure when commission you give your staff for ripping people off but it’s immoral and I will be leaving a review everywhere possible to make others aware of what your company does to its customers

The day before I had rented a car with goldcar in Ibiza without my passport and everything went fine, but in Barcelona they changed rules for some reason. When I asked the agent said “Ibiza does whatever they want we are not an island”. Clearly the company is not aligned.

All the staff were rude to us, we were called liars for informing them that we had already purchased full insurance through discover cars and were aggressively hassled to try and get us to buy additional insurance even with discover car speaking to them on the phone. A clear scam with multiple staff at separate times being aggressive and lying.

Cons: If I pay in advance 26€, I'm totally fine upgrading the car, but then suddenly I end up paying more taxes, additional driver, upgraded car and the y basically forced me to take the extra insurance. Behind the desk personell is sitting prob their manager making sure all staff try to scam as many as possible. And on top of that the petrol tank wasn't full when we got it (we drove less than 50 km and the gas line dropped with one) We payed 26 + almost 180€ + deposit for the gas.

Cons: We flew into Barcelona Terminal 2 and had to get a shuttle bus to Terminal 1 to get the car - turns out they have a desk at Terminal 2 so I am not sure why we weren't given the option to collect from there instead.

Cons: The distasteful attempt at the Golf Car staff member trying to take what felt like a bribe from us. He said the car was returned in perfect condition with the exception of a scrape on one of the wing mirrors. He said “don’t worry, pay me €30 just now and it’s fine”. Thankfully I had images that showed the scratch was already there when we collected the car and he quickly backtracked. Would never trust gold car again

They obliged me to contract the full risk insurance even though I bought it from you and now they even charged me for the damage!

Cons: the representative tried to up-sell us by saying that it would be “impossible” for us (a couple, our six y/o and luggage for a week) to fit in a Fiat 500. They could offer us a more suitable car for an extra €40. That seemed fine, except it was €40 a day. We decided to see whether we would fit in the car we booked-which we did without a problem. They also pushed the insurance very hard setting out exorbitant charges if the car came back with any damage. It was already covered with damage.

The other (barely noticeable and one of the smallest scratches on the whole car) wouldn’t buff out so we were charged for that. Pros: nothing. Their service was poor and when you get to the desk you are told to pay additional fees for insurance, airport taxes etc before they even release a car. I have to wait 2.5 hours before I received my rental and it wasn't even the same or equivalent car I had paid for. I had taken the full cover protection DiscoverCar offer but apperently Goldcar do not accept this coverage hence you are cornered into purchasing their products. Worst customer experience and ended up being very costly (*3)

Cons: The man with beard serving on the night of Aug 2nd should not have the job. He did not state why I had to pay additional dfees - this was explained when I talked to the service center. Tried 2 different cards - and aslo a credit card but he stated they were not accepted. As soon as I questioned him and asked why he stated "do you not want the car - shall I cancel it" - as he knew there were not other cars available at the airport besides large cars. They charged meSEK 7860 SEK - approx 720 Euro

Cons: After having paid everything they blocked 413 euros and returned only 69 euros for no reason! No email sent whatsoever and the customer service agent couldn't explain why! Already from the office in Barcelona things looked weird: No written contract given they just told me you have it in your email, they gave me the keys and didn't show me the car so I had to look for it alone by checking which car lights blink when I push the keys button!! The return address given in the email was different.

Cons: Tha agency closed at 00:00 and the plane arrived at 23:35. When we got there you were closed. So we got to spend 1:30 and more 300 euros to rent two more cars. I think your agency, At least, could give us a warning about the closing time.

Cons: They had complicated extra charges that were not made clear in the original booking, plus the costs ended up not matching the costs in the original booking. The car was not as clean or in as good a condition as we expected. We won't use Goldcar again.

Pros: Though the car was advertised at a very low rate, the fine print included a requirement for an international drivers license, something I've never needed when renting a car in the EU before. Because of that, we wound up having to fully insure the car for a significantly greater amount of money.

Cons: Additionally, we wanted to extend our rental agreement on the car. This is not possible over the phone or internet, so we spent a full day of our trip driving to the nearest Goldcar location only to be told that it is not possible to modify your reservation when made through a third party. Overall, this was a terrible experience and I will never use either service again.

Pros: 1) Desk is in the airport terminal 2) They operate a full-to-full fuel policy

Cons: 1) Desk agent charged for optional insurance I didn't want without asking. Became aggressive and uncooperative when I tried to decline the insurance. 2) I had to inspect car for pre-existing damage in a poorly lit car park with no assistance from Goldcar attendant 3) Car returned with a completely full tank but a faulty fuel gauge showing 7/8 full. This was explained and accepted by the check-in agent but then Goldcar charged a penalty of €62.96 the next day. 4) Car smaller than the one booked

Cons: Unprofessional way of doing business by hiding costs in the contract. When I arrived at the desk to rent the car, the costs were different than what I had booked.

Cons: The car was not at the pick up parking area but somewhere else. I was told 15 minutes to wait which was fine as I had to go and meet my parents flight. However only return 30 minutes later it still had not arrived and I was told that the warehouse area had not realised they needed to bring the car and the keys to the parking area even though I had heard the man tell them. So we had another 20 minutes to wait. Not great! The car was also not overly clean on the outside and was really bashed up.

Pros: Efficient and speedy collection and pleasant staff.

Cons: Each time when starting a flashing signal informed me vehicle overdue an oil change
