Centauro at Barcelona Airport

Pros: Professional and easy.

Cons: Slow service, was supposed to be full coverage but was not, unhelpful staff.

Pros: Quickness of the service, both picking up and dropping off.

Cons: The collection process. They don't do around the car with you to look at the car condition, which it is odd specially when the car is full of small nicks.

Pros: Very good car, relatively uncomplicated pick-up and drop-off processes.

Cons: No information about the allowance to drive in the Low Emission Zone (ZBE) in Barcelona. The car had no stick on the window. I called Centauro, but the operator on the phone was unable to say if the car I was driving met the conditions, and also refused to connect me to the office in Barcelona from where I rented the car to find out more info about the issue. So, for safety, I avoided driving in Barcelona. But at the drop-off, I was told I could drive with no restriction in the city :(

Cons: They charged me again for insurance I already paid you, I did not get an invoice yet, They sent m to find the car in the parking BUT gave no instructions how to operate the car and was exteremely rude when I asked for assistance as I did not know how to operate that hybrid car. Basically I left the area counting on luck when I did not know how to turn up the lights etc... It was a new car to me. There were no real signs were to find them in the airport.

Cons: We were stuck in customs for over an hour and tried several phone numbers to call you land they did not work. Our pickup time was 10 am and I received an email at 10:15 am canceling our reservation. There was no attempt to contact us or ask if we were delayed just a cancellation. We then had to find a different company to get a car which cost us almost double because we had to rent the same day. There was no easy or good way to communicate with you. Very frustrating and disappointing!!

Pros: There was damage to the car when we collected which was not registered on the damage list. Luckily we had pictures to prove it was damaged from pick up. The staff member was really helpful.

Cons: Should of recorded the damages to the car correctly

Cons: Car had a bad thermostat and bald tires, we were taking it to Andorra to ski, so we were cold the entire time. The shuttle didn’t show up every 20 minutes as stated. Took two hours to get the car.

Pros: Friendly minibus drivers to and from airports.

Cons: Car was in poor condition with lots of scrapes, dents and damage. I returned the car with 80% battery charge and Centauro equated this to €30+ euros of recharge value. Realistically it would cost between €5 and €8. That was unfair and would put me off using them again.

Cons: A bit confusing when dropping off the car as there were loads of people queueing and we weren't sure if we needed to queue to drop off. The rep told me that the driver would check our car which he did and then took us to T2 and asked which airline so ensured we got to the Ryanair terminal

Cons: Working hours- needs to be 24/7 at the busy airport such as Barcelona El Prat.

Pros: Kind and helpfull service. The car was almost brand new (Kia Ceed) and might have been even an upgrade from what we had booked.

Cons: The maybe could have told how to open the fuel cap of the car. We worked it out but it would have been easier to have been told before. It’s also a good idea to tell Centauro customers from Barcelona airport that Barcelona city has an environmental zone. Even if the rental car has the right environmental tag, it doesn’t have the appropriate sticker on the car window. Meaning that you cannot park /drive into the city centre of BCN. Instead we took the train into the city from where we stayed.

Pros: The car was clean and new. The process collecting the car was straightforward and most importantly they are at genuine car rental and not scammers who tries to charge you hidden fees or find issues when you check out your car.

Cons: the checkout process was really slow And as a consequence we have been late at the airport. the checkout process took 40 minutes and we have been off season within the tourist season you should take at least an hour and a half to check out, especially at big times.

Cons: 30mins to wait for pick up at airport and another 30+ at office to complete paperwork, despite having done online booking to submit dics, pay etc.

Cons: Spend a lot of time for waiting for getting and dilivering of car.

Cons: Directions to shuttle pick up place from the terminal were unclear. We had to take a taxi for €15 to get there ourselves and Centauro wouldn’t refund that amount.

Cons: Need to improve instruction how to reach the shuttle bus station - add photo how to reach it from Barcelona airport: T1 & T2.

Cons: It took us ages to find the pick up spot, even with very detailed directions. At drop off, they wanted to charge 75Euro to vacuum crumbs off the seats. It was not explained beforehand that there would be a charge if the car was returned with any dirt. Also, they had the wrong car for us at first, but luckily were able to change it.

Pros: Quick and easy to find bus service from airport to car park. Nice motorist, helpful. Car was nice, even with many marks on the body, which were not important for use; but annoying in the way agent forced to write them all down under the threat of charging for repairs for any that were not mentioned in the contract.

Cons: The receptionist (young, dark-haired lady, no name identification) was extremely impolite. She forced the car to be inspected at night, in a dark park, due to defects in the car's paintwork, of which there were many, saying "if you don't inspect it, it's your problem, we have the card deposit. That's what we have, you want it or not?" . Four additions were made to defects in the car that were not indicated in the contract. In total, the car had 11 defects/marks noted. Very impolite attitude.

Szukanie wypożyczalni o 20-21 z całą rodziną po lotnisku to nie zabwna historia. Brak dokładniej informacji, polecana aplikacji czy mapa nie działała, kontakt też się nie powiódł. Dlatego nie odebrałem zamówionego auta. Musiałem wypożyczyć auto z innej wypożyczalni.

My daughter has a service dog that traveled with us in the car, and of course she left some hair, nothing serious or unusual, but extra charge for cleaning was disproportionate and was reported to us in a derogatory manner, teh person said we took the car to clean when we were at the airport to take the return flight. My daughter has rented a car with her help dog many times and never, ever had they done to her what Centauro did in Barcelona tous

Cons: 1. The $1000.00 security deposit. 2. I had to change flight due to cancellation. I wasn't allowed to change my drop off time even though it would have been well within the rental period I paid for.

Pros: The Cenrauro agent bait and switched us. We reserved an economy car that was $11 per day but the rental agent gave us a jeep which was $25 per day and not economical on gas!!

Pros: Nothing. They were literally obnoxious when we took the car and while we had it. The only nice person was the one who received the car when we returned it to the railway station. The rest were awful.

Cons: Had to find and take bus to Centauro, then we waited on line for an hour, so almost 2 hours till we got our car. Returning the car at the railway station took us 37 minutes to find the garage after having to call the company four times to direct us. The worst was when we were told (by Dayana and Alessandro) we could change the rental to allow border crossing by calling in. When I called, a horrible woman named Virginie said we can't, called me a liar and then hung up on me. Terrible service.

Cons: In principle, I am taken to Centauro by bus. But because the bus stops somewhere at the airport, I had to search a lot and wait for the place. After a long wait I decided to go to Centauro with Taxi. that cost me 20 euros. That is annoying and less fun.

Cons: Charged us $100 euro for a micro chip in windshield that was so small it was very hard to see.

Cons: The charge for passing to a nearby country (France) which is a Western European country, was very high, of 90 Euro (2 months ago we rented a car in Stuttgart and drove to Austria and Italy and the charge was only 16 Euro by Europecar). The waiting for the car receiving was very long (about an hour even it was only 3 cars taken and one returned in this time). The return of the car was checked very long despite the rain, even the car was in perfect condition (and new).

Pros: I like using Centauro. I find them open, honest and trustworthy

Pros: We had a flight disaster and arrived 12hours later than expected, i was on the phone to Centauro several times on our day of pick and them to me. They were very helpful and as they closed at 11pm they stayed open to allow us to get our car hire (we were charged €40 however we were just so grateful to have picked our car up). Have used this company from Malaga and 10/10 each time. The car had some previous damage but they had logged that thank goodness!

The also charge you extra for insurance even if you have taken the extra cover as you need to have a credit card in your name. When we asked why it's not possible it was shrugged of and was told to find another car company. Additional we were driving to France which is extra cover ontop

The staff didnt care and were so casual, strolling around even though they had a massive line of people trying to pick up their car. They were constantly leaving their stations. The car I ended up getting was not the one I booked. Hidden clauses in the contract forced me to pay for full insurance. I've hired cars from 40+ countries - this was easily the worst.

Cons: Car was not as requested - I have got 1.2 litre Hundai I20 instead of Focus. I paif for Full to full policy, but car was not prepared at that way. Crew told me, that I have to agree or to go. Deposit for fuel (50euros) is strictly against Full-to-full policy. And this deposit was not returned to me yet - even a week after return home. I also paid for Full coverage insuarance, however, Centauro charged me/ blocked additional 1.050 euros. And blockation still holds on my account.

Pros: I could not get through to the company after the arrival. After the Operator answered and confirmed the bus departure, we waited an hour at the meeting place but the bus did not arrive. the phone of the company stopped responding. for the whole company worked only an answering machine.

Cons: Was not given the option to add additional excess mileage whilst checking out the vehicle. Customer service was poor. I left an item in the vehicle. I visited the offices again to find mayhem then had to call back twice and fill in a form for nothing to be done.

Pros: They were efficient and helpful at drop off given we had damaged the car

Cons: The instructions to find the bus to take us to car hire office were impossible to read. We felt abandoned because all the phone numbers we range were answerphones. My husband, who has just had a hip operation ended up walking about a mile to find the bus. It is ridiculous. We were so upset and stressed.

Cons: VERY POOR process for returning car. Unclear procedure for customers and no set area for processing return customer from pick up customer. I spent one hour in line to return my car due to the volume of people picking cars up.
