Pros: Agents were smoking outside whilst I had to carry all the bags myself (and a baby). A little help would have been decent

Cons: 1) A very large deposit (£1900) is taken off credit card (ie not a hold). They take 90 days to refund any deposit after the trip, I am still waiting for mine 2) The car hire is initially cheap but the business model is to charge huge amounts of money for tiny scratches. I had full insurance (and also painfully demonstrated that the scratches were present pre-hire). They refuse to inspect the car in return but wait for it to go through the car wash and then unilaterally apply charges (900 EUR).

Pros: The guys at pick up and drop off were very nice

Cons: Trying to push additional insurance package despite the one already paid online and charge clients for preexisting damages. I am actually expecting the invoice for "damages" like couple chips on the windshield and scratches that were already on the car. The car was not that clesn on the exterior and the windshield was being damaged at the pick up. Scratches all over on the doors, bumpers, top of the car. Hope will finish very quickly so that I can send you the invoice for the "claimed damages".

Cons: They charge 100s of Euros for tiny scratches. The renter must have an insurance cover. The pickup from the airport is not convenient: need to call, not clear where is the pick-up spot, etc... The station's agents are inefficient: they give me a worse car than I ordered. Also, they tried three different credit cards until they succeeded in taking the deposit (I never had such experience with other agencies) - this seems to me as a scam to convince a client to buy their insurance.

Pros: I was not allowed to pick up my vehicle as my credit card had my married name on it. I showed my marriage certificate and all my other cards but they just used it as an excuse to sell €80 euros worth of insurance. So I left the car and just used taxis.

Cons: They actually didn’t honor the reservation. Arrived a few hours late, due to flight delay. Like that wasn’t enough aggravation for us, Pricecarz didn’t have the car at the rate we booked it for. It was cancelled after 2 hours we were supposed to pick up. They offered to give us a car for more than 3 times the original agreed cost. DiscoverCars.com was contacted but never responded to this day, 21 days later. I would not recommend either if you want to have a predictable/agreed on outcome.

Cons: I had to credit with two credit frames. The overall credit frame that I needed for the car was €2800 and I didn’t want to finish all my credit frame on the car so I asked to separate the Payments to different cards they could not do that.

Cons: If you don't take the company's insurance, the front desk representative makes you feel unwelcome. They take a higher deposit than usual, and threaten that if the car gets the slightest scratch they will charge a minimum of 400 euros for each. They even require that you return the vehicle after washing it, so that it will be easier for them to find it. When you return the vehicle, they look for "that tiny scratch" extra carefully.

They try to scare me that even a little scratch will cost me €350. Then when they tried to close the deposit of 2400 euros for some reason it didn’t work. I checked with my bank later. I have no problem. So I had no other option but to take their full coverage which was five times more than the amount I paid

Cons: * The car was not there at pickup time (11:00) * 1.5 hours later I could get a replacement car, which just came in. It was very briefly inspected by the sales person, pretending to make 5-8 photos of places I indicated where damage was present, but in fact only put one photo in the prior-damage report. I myself made photos too. * Upon return two scratches. One place was already scratched as could be seen on my photos at pick up time.

The representative was adamant that it wasn't good enough and unwilling to release the car, but I stood my ground. I gave her my credit card twice so she could charge the (large) amount needed for security, and she said the payment was refused, though the credit card company told me via phone that both were authorised. Car broke down, service was just "it would be better to take care yourself as it is sunday" and the car after starting again, broke down again, and when we somehow got it working and dropped off without filling it up (because of fear of stalling at the gas station just before the flight) - they asked extra without taking any responsibility of cars malfunctions. Never gonna use that rental again.

This was swiftly put down when I provided evidence. The original check wasn't up to scratch. Make sure you go over with a fine tooth comb to remove issues when dropping off, the company obviously does this on purpose to try catch you out.

Na szczęście po wnikliwych obliczeniach i analizach wyszło że jednak nic nie przybyło. Najbardziej spodobało mi się uczucie ulgi jak zwolniono depozyt.

Zaproponowano nową ofertę na ten sam samochód, której koszt był dwa razy wyższy. Było już późno więc będąc bez wyjścia musiałem się na nią zdecydować. Po czym przy płatności doliczono mi dodatkowo jeszcze kwotę za rezerwację którą sami wcześniej anulowali. Dno!!

He maintained the vehicle was too dirty. We had hired the car for x10 days and it had some road dust on it only. We suggested he clean the car, we would wait, but this was not possible as their car wash was closed. We did not like leaving the car without being present during the inspection.

Pros: Although I bought insurance in advance through the Kayak website, when we arrived at the car rental location, we were informed that our insurance does not actually cover anything (because we need a police permit when necessary) such as scratches, etc., and we were told that we have to pay an additional 260 euros for full insurance! And don't say I didn't check... I sent an email ahead of time to the place and asked - will there be additional charges? They answered confidently - it would not be.

Cons: But at the car rental shop, their behavior was completely different. a surprise! You have no choice but to add 260 euros, and the 100 euros you already paid for insurance basically go to waste. The representative was very unpleasant and unhelpful. If they had reflected on the situation in advance, it would have been completely different, but we strongly do not recommend this rental company. Cons: Baby seat was not functioning even though we were required to pay 100 euro for it. Left scratches on my baby’s legs. They pretty much force you to pay for the full indemnity insurance and tell you that if you don’t they’ll have to charge you an excessive amount for a second driver.

Pros: The car was clean. But the tank wasn't full (neither GPL nor petrol) and it wasn't really the car we'd reserved. Eventually they managed to pick us up at the airport and get us to the rental office-- though this wasn't seamless. Everyone was very nice and presentable, of course-- but that's to be expected.

It is possible, though not certain, that the statements given by the company's representative were accurate and that the contracts adhere to the letter of the law, but the fact is that they know that they have you once you're in the office-- you aren't going to leave without the car. Cons: The car company isn't at the airport, I had to wait about 30 minutes to pick up plus 10 minutes drive to the parking garage, so overall I've waited about 40 minutes just to get there. Afterwards I needed to refill and sign a lot off forms including requests for local insurance even that I said that already paid for it.

Pros: I rented the car from PriceCarz using discoverscars.com. Fare price, excellent car. Taking the car and returning it were very efficient. Great staff. When I landed in Bucharest, I called them and they came to take me from the airport to their rental location which is 5 minutes drive away from the terminal. When I returned the car, they took me back to the departure terminal.

Cons: They don't have a rental desk at the landing terminal, but only 5 minutes away from the terminal. That's not a big issue because the come to pick you up from the terminal and they drop you off at the terminal upon car return

Pros: Oana (the rental agent) was very friendly and professional. She explained everything in detail from terms and conditions to extras and insurances. I got an upgrade so in the end turned out to be a very good deal. Car was working perfectly having in mind that I drove few hundreds of km in two weeks. Be sure to take videos and pictures of the car when you rent it because when I came back I have been asked about most of the dents and scratches that were already there. Saved by the videos.
