AddCar at Bucharest Airport

Pros: Inform people before renting about the price of the car washing and the insurance which is 100€ for the car insurance + 195€ for full coverage.

Cons: I put in the option that I chose that i need an open milage, so i can explore the whole country if i could. They asked me where are the exact cities that i may visit. And when I returned the car i was asked where did i went by the car and which cities. Since I requested an open milage there shouldn’t have any rights to ask me about the locations even if I visited other county and came back on time.

Cons: Varausehdoissa luki, että varausmaksu palautetaan auton palauttamisen jälkeen. Mutta tiskillä selvisi että varausmaksu palautetaan vasta 28pvä. päästä.

Pros: Staff polite and always ready to answer your questions.

Cons: They picked me up from the airport in an extremely short time, the same for the return. There is almost no waiting time for pick up/drop of the car.

Pros: It was all very good.

Cons: The pick up point being 1km away from the airport.

Cons: Three insurance issue. It's feel like cheating, that i made insurance through discovercars and they told me in the desk that it's not cover, and try to sell me another insurance

Cons: Rude staff who can barely speak English. The cars are old ( 2018), cranky and unsafe. When we explained the situation, their answer was to go somewhere else.

Cons: I already wrote a complaint that it was the worst experience of my life. They didn’t give me a car and I still haven’t gotten my money back

Cons: Long pickup time from the airport. They initially advertised a new-ish car on the phone, an A-class sedan. I arrived there and they gave me a bmw series 3 hatch back from 2014 that looked like it went through a war inside. When I asked about the Aclass, they told me that for what I paid, this is the only car they had and had me pay 3x on top of what I already paid saying that the A class is the same price as the E class. I was already 3hrs late and stupid enough to take the a class at the price

Pros: Absolut nimic nu mi-a plăcut! Lipsa totala de respect fata de clienți, lipsa de profesionalism.

Cons: "Domnul" Bogdan, vizibil deranjat de faptul ca am un voucher, mi-a solicitat sa plătesc ca și garanție, o suma mai mare decât cea care era specificata în acesta, cu aproximativ 50%, motiv pentru care am renunțat la a mai închiria de la AddCar! Menționez ca după aproape 10 zile de la incident, nu mi-au fost returnați banii pe care i-am achitat pentru închirierea mașinii!!!!

Pros: Nothing at all as they have scammed us. We were not given the car and used an excuse that they dont take master card or amex. I gave them both and they didnt accept

Cons: it was complete fraud. We were told that the car will be ready at the airport and we were made to wait at the airport for 30 minutes and then collected in the van which took us to their office far from the airport. The person there was rude and refused to accept our cards and said no one takes Amex in the country and he refused to take the master card

Cons: The worst is that they didn't gave me the car I need. Then they didn't explain enough their conditions. They're giving you that feeling that they're always right and you're always wrong. If you don't know something it is because you didn't listen because it was certainly mentioned to you.

Cons: They were 40 minutes delayed and very very bad attitude. Car had engine problems, yet they didnt feel like answering our calls at any point.

Pros: The car was adequate and got good gas mileage.

Cons: Or voucher listed a GPS device in the price. When we picked up the car, the agent initially informed us the price did not include a gps, but then agreed it did. The gps he gave us did not function properly. When we returned the car, the agent would not issue a refund, because the paperwork we receive when we picked up the car did not list a gps. Also, no agent was there to meet us at the airport at the scheduled time, causing much anxiety and confusion, although an agent eventually came.

Cons: The car was very basic and had a slow leak in one tyre we had to top up regularly, the tyres were almost past their use by date

Pros: Once I got to the rental place, the process was somewhat fast

Cons: They were not waiting at the arrivals. After almost an hour, got picked up in a different place than listed when reserved the car. Additionally, althoughi reserved for a 5 door and two luggages, I was offered a two for car at first and when mentioned I reserved a 5 door bigger car the agent changed the car to a fiat panda. It fit only one suitcase. Our family had to cram into the small car for the trip.

Pros: Not good at all because I didn’t got any service other than no can’t do anything about your problem

Cons: Car was NOT the size category we had booked and pre-paid for, which had been the specific reason we selected Discover, and this meant we could not use it for the passengers planned. Also we specifically filtered for in terminal agents only, but they turned out to be meet & greet and they were hard to locate when we landed which was frustrating, and no one answered when we phoned and emailed looking for help with the meet & greet. We did find them in the end but it was a frustrating start.

Cons: When I came to pick up the car the guy in ADD office in Otopeni airport didn't want to give me the car before I"ll pay 150€ for additional insurance, and he sad me NO PAY - NO CAR. I really felt like robbed and his behavior was like gangster....(And his boss also). I think that this behavior don't has a place in international tourist business - it makes a bad image for Romanian service

Cons: Old car with engine problems, very dirty car called several times 4 days in a row asking to replace the car. Ruin all my vacation just waiting for a new car. I will never rent from this unreliable 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Pros: Our flight was postponed for two hours. The agent told us that because we were late the rental contract was canceled due to the delay even though we updated the company. He charged us twice for the insurance. we informed the car rental company and the money still hasn't been returned to us. Due to the flight delay, we only rented the car for three days and not for four days. And the company refuses to refund us the difference.

Cons: the car was a new car

Pros: Bad service, they gave us a broken down car that wouldn't start and we were stuck on the road for half a day, the car was very used and we received it with half a tank of gas. We received no compensation for this.

Pros: Agent waited for us in the arrivals hall and toke us with airport shatel to the rental office.

Cons: First of all the car was old (2017), When I made the reservation, I asked to return the car in the city center and it is written in the reservation, but the company did not honor it and charged me an additional fee. Even when I chose extended insurance, they explained to me that the insurance does not cover anything and if something happens I have to pay and then to talk with discovercars to get a refund. In addition, they charged a 2000 euro for deposit and this not written in the reservation.

Pros: When we arrived at the airport, someone was supposed to be waiting for us...it wasnt like this..we called ti tye agency many times for 30 minutes without getting any answer.after 40 minutes someone appeared.. The car we rente.. the secundario day show a técnicas problem advertirsmente on the screer, in anoche language. We traed to comunícate with them by telephone and nobody replied..so we decided to send an email explaining. Car seemed old..

Pros: Polite staff and good value for money. Of course depending on what period you rent the car.

Cons: They will try to scam you. Read other reviews on Google / Trust Pilot. They will try to charge the €600 deposit on your card. Their machine will return an “error” – this is fake. They will tell you your card has stopped working and the way to get around paying the €600 deposit is to buy their insurance through a debit card for €150. They say “ANY scratch the size of a coin will lose the full €600 deposit, so you should buy our insurance”. People are being scammed. Read other reviews.

Pros: The people were nice.

Cons: The car was old. There were several error messages on the car when I took it. I was told that the insurance that I paid from discover cars is not sufficient and I needed to buy insurance from them directly. The roadside assistance that I paid for twice (with discover cars and with add car) did not include help when I had a broken tire... I had to repair it on my own as the insurance did not over it. Their office is NOT in the Airport area as advertised. It is 2 km away from the airport.

Pros: Bucharest office was very friendly, pickup was fast and simple. The car was as good as new and ready for a long drive.

Cons: The drop off of the car at 2am as the time was not a working time, the representative needed to arrive at the airport to meet us there, but it took only 15 min of waiting time, but was available all the time on the phone to update his location and arrival time and place.

Cons: The car was far from new. Had a few faults. Drop off point in Bucharest was very hard to find. Was not located in Waze, and the sign is in a different name than the car rental name.

Pros: Very prompt pick-up. Desk work done in a matter of minutes. Friendly staff.

Cons: I received a car that vad severely worn front tyres (I think they were illegal to drive). As it was night time, I didn't notice them until the following day... Also, I wasn't given a list of fees in case the car was damaged. When I dropped off the car, we noticed a scratch so my whole deposit was taken. Now I need to wait a few weeks until they decide how much that scratch costs to fix.

Pros: The AddCar representative was really kind during the picking up procedures. He tried to conviced me to buy their own insurance but when I refused explaining that I have external insurance he promised that he will not search and fake damages after dropping off. The service overall was very good and they immediately give back the deposit to the credit card.

Cons: The information that in case of any damages you will lost the whole deposit - does not matter how big is the damage

Cons: The car we got was way different than the one that we ordered. The car we got had engine problems during the rental. We called and asked about it and they just told us that it's normal. EVERYONE who rented a car from AddCar got extra costs due to different reasons. We got an extra cost of 100 euros, because of 'dirtyness of the car' when returning the car. We were completely unsatisfied of the whole process. The car was not dirty when we returned it but what can you do in that situation.
