Noleggiare at Florence Airport

Pros: Pickup was quick and easy.

Cons: Drop off took hours. No address was provided in the return email, just a garage and floor. A google search for Noleggiare directed to the wrong location at the airport. Eventually realized ‘noleggio’ was the drop off site. Nobody answered the phone at phone numbers provided in the email or on google maps for clarification, even during working hours. Key drop was difficult to locate and took more time. Then surprise damage fine the next day in line with most prior reviews.

Pros: The Noleggiare was extremely rude, unprofessional and fighting with me. He refused to give me his name. Fighted with me when I requested to add my comments to the return document. He actually deleted my comments afterwards

Cons: The Noleggiare staff at the Fumicino airport in Rome are unprofessional scammers. There was no damage to the car but still listed a less than 0.5 mm ‘mark’ on the windshield as a ‘scratch’. It was not a scratch. It was just a mark that will get cleared during carwash. I requested to speak with the manager. He declined.

Pros: Noleggaire did not accept the rental because we were a little late. Train issues caused the delay and they would not accept the rental. Tried calling Discover cars and only got voicemail in Dutch.

We paid for a car with GPS but it didn’t work (refund request processing). Overall wouldn’t recommend

Cons: - The office is NOT on the airport but at a location for which you have to take a shuttle. - I had a flight delay and arrived at 23:10. I indicated I would arrive at 23:00. The office was closed, no one there. Completely unacceptable. - Staff claimed I made damage to the car, and they provided a photo of a small dent (<1mm) on the windshield. What a joke.

Cons: Worst car rental experience of my life. It took over an hour at the counter to pick up my car. The car I booked was not available so they upsold me another car with navigation. The guy behind the counter was rude and arrogant. Dropping off the car in Rome was a nightmare too. Trying to find their office was stressful and time consuming. There are no clear directions or signs. Once again the staff were arrogant and dismissive. Will never use Discover Cars nor Noleggiare again.

When we got to the desk were told they did not have our flight information and we were behind scheduled time so our car was given away. Nothing they could do, sorry about our luck. If you read the online reviews for the rental agency this seems to be 100% their mo. Glad we didn't oay all ahead of time.

Cons: it said we would be collecting the car “in terminal” but that wasn’t the case we had to get a bus transfer to it. We then spent 2 hours to queue to get our car. I have never experienced this, everyone even did a pre checkin but the staff were still doing things manually. i have never experienced such rude staff. we asked a lady, what about compensation or even an apology, she questioned us why, and said why should we say sorry. They said book with someone else, it’s not my problem

Cons: Difficult driving to the dropping off point. Situation of the rental center (for all rental agencies) is not driver friendly. Maybe the whole rental center should be placed differently. This is not a specific problem for Noleggiare. Service was really slow picking up the car.

Cons: First of all, we waited 2 1/2 hours in line at the Florence Airport. Then we received a manual transmission car even though we had rented an automatic. Finally, I was emphatically told we had no insurance coverage, even though our reservation specifically stated we had full coverage. 300 more euros, which I intend to dispute with my credit card company. Very disappointed with Noleggiare, we felt we were taken advantage of.

Cons: The pickup at Firenze was terrible. 10am pickup arrived at 9.45 and waited in line until I was served and got the keys at 1pm. Also queue jumpers who barged into the office and started arguing with the staff and other customers as to the delay made it a great experience. Staff did their best, but obviously some big system failures caused this calamity.

Cons: Extremely slow. Took 2 hours to get the car because I'd booked one with GPS through Discover Cars and for some reason neither of the first 2 cars they gave us had GPS.

Cons: Time waiting to pick the car up. We paid extra to pick the car up IN the airport and had to get a bus to pick up point. We ended up with a small car and paid for a medium one. My daughter was pregnant and we had two suitcases one of which had to go on the back seat. It was very uncomfortable for a 2 hour trip.

Pros: Quite possibly the WORST possible experience I’ve ever had with a car rental company and my family has spent a lot of time traveling. Service was incredibly slow (took a whole hour and there were only a couple people ahead of us in line). we had reserved 2 car seats and they ARGUED with us that we hadn’t and then gave us 2 options that were not what we reserved and were much less safe for our toddlers. The car we rented wasn’t even the car we requested (9 instead of 7 passenger van).

Cons: THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE. wrong car, didn’t get correct car seats after the agent arguing with us that we hadn’t reserved any (when we had), took an hour from start to finish before we left the rental car lot.

Pros: Your people were great! Both at the pick up and drop off they were really friendly, though the drop off took a long time because they were understaffed and very busy.

Cons: I received I a notice from DiscoverCars that the rental desk was now in the terminal, and I would not need to get on the shuttle. That was not the case.

Pros: We had rented the vehicle for 11 days and they said they would work to change the Van to an automatic and never made any attempt the entire period.

Luckily, we photographed the car before taking or else they would have made us pay for pre-existing damage. Employees did not appear to care about the customer…long lines, the lot was flooded making the customer walk thru ankle deep water to get to the office and they would leave in the middle of transaction to find a missing car. Overall, a terrible experience at this location.

Cons: The car rental office closes at 11pm, so we almost missed the cut-off point.

Also the agent told us that because we were late he couldnt give us a car (at the beginning of our conversation), despite the fact that we had a reservation and we have prepaid a deposit for this and he was very route with us. I asked him if can come and check the car together and he didnt. Not reccomended at all!

Pros: Nothing! Did not take van because of issues noted below. Requesting a refund as they did not provide appropriate service, the staff told me to call the headquarters.

When we would not buy they became very upset and made us wait for over an hour. Instead of getting the appropriate rental van that was reserved, they instead brought back their airport shuttle van there was not only damage but was very nasty and clearly wasn’t the vehicle we reserved-we took this as they were punishing us as the manager was very upset.

As well we were late for picking up our vehicle and they proceeded to charge me an additional $300 Euro for being late (it was in the contract) as well, i reserved an automatic and they only had a stick shift. when i asked to be compensated for the mistake they said "take it or leave it" I doubt i will rent from them again

When we received the car, it was covered in dirt. When we returned it, they then challenged us on a scratch that was hidden by the dirt when we first picked up the car. We didn't see it when we got the car, and then we had to argue that it was already there when we returned it because it had been so dirt-covered in the first place.

Pros: Unfortunately our car was cancelled. We were later than planned, but still fine. We had rented for 15d holiday starting in Florence ending in Naples. The agent was not helpful, informed us the car was cancelled by discoverycars (eg not by him) and now he had no car for us. And the car he did have had a broken screen….. Hè was not helpful in finding replacement, frankly. I would never recommend this service for which you charged us ~150,- and have not yet returned it.
