Pros: Friendly

Cons: The car was a Deisel and full of fuel, but after about 200 kilometers we ran low on DEF in the middle of Tuscany on a Sunday afternoon with no nearby service stations. We had to reroute our trip and missed some key destinations to locate DEF.

Cons: We picked up our car. Nobody told us that there was not enough AD Blue in the car, a fluid that was needed for the diesel car that was rented to us. It completely ran out and our car broke down on a day where gas stations were not open. We had to walk for hours finding help and spend another $700 to rent a new car.

Pros: Not much

Cons: The car was full of scratches on it when we picked it up and had done a lot of mileage. When I dropped the car off at the end of the contract the representative was extremely rude and dismissive and implying that the scratches could have been made by me. Even though the marks were there when I picked up the car.

Cons: I already submitted a review. We arrived early to pick up our car and were tied first, we gad to osy 80 euro to colkectcearly then 120 euro. We had to sit in tbe sun fir 2hrs before we could take rhe car. The car was available just not the time I had originally said. Really spoiled our trip to Siena.

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: I will write in detail to your company (discovercars) as I have no idea why you are providing Autovia your platform to rob people. The Autovia representative claimed that we were late in picking up the car and as such the car is not available and charged us a hefty amount to provide a different car!! This is absolutely fraud as we were not late and the representative said that we should have called him to let him know that we were coming! If so, why did we even book 3 months before the trip?

Pros: Both Autovia representatives at pick up and drop off were great. Marco at pick up in Florence was fantastic. We got a brand new car and everything went absolutely smoothly. It was the best car hire experience we’ve had. Will definitely book autovia again!

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1390.00 - € 1950.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Young driver fee, Airport surcharge, Premium Location fee, Road tax, Environmental charge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, flight information. Renters from the following country(ies): Italy must provide the following documents: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill) in order to collect the car.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain-Mainland, Switzerland, San Marino.
Crossing country borders is forbidden to the following countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Malta, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Tunisia, Turkey.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack, Cross border fee.

When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

During winter season (from 15.11 until 15.04) Snow chains are included in price.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid an additional charge per liter/gallon of missing fuel plus a 25 EUR refueling service charge.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.

Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 59 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
