First Car Rental at Tambo International Airport

Pros: They tried their best to resolve a situation where discover cars were ressponsible for the issue and unreachable to remedy the issue.

Cons: I was left with a take it or leave it option and a unwillingness to cancel the rental on their side. I had no assurance of a refund in the case of cancellation due to that being offered and paid for, not being provided.

Cons: Vehicle we received neede to be changed due to a faulty airco.

Cons: The car company gave me a car that had 540km left in the tank, when I filled it up before dropping it back off at the airport (approx 15mins drive) the range was over 700km left in the tank, but the car company still charged me R250 to fill up the tank, where really I should get a refund as the tank wasn't full when I picked it up. They also took over £100 extra out of my bank account . I am now busy trying to get this money (and fuel costs) refunded .

Pros: The check-in and out process is easy. The car was reliable and never gave me issues. All things important were explained at check-in. I would use First Car service again. I forgot my laptop in the car and one man followed me to the international check-in desks at the airport to give it to me. Their service is exceptional and many thanks to that man who brought my laptop.

They firstly gave me a car with smooth tyres and the spare tyre had a big plug in and wasn't road worthy at all and they expected my to drive all over the country with it. Then got charged for fuel after we were told we have to go fill the car from a fuel station that's 2 minutes away and then charged me saying it wasn't full. Got the final bill and they over charged me for the car rental too have to now pay in over R10K. The second car needed a service
